The purchase was a big bust, I returned it about a week later, and a different worker was there. I politely explained the issue and expected I would be offered a credit/refund/ or store credit in some reasonable amount. Instead, she was not interested in doing the right thing, was defensive, and said I was unclear about my complaint. My complaint was straightforward and clear. When she sensed that I was confused by her "argument," I just pivoted and said, "ok, that is a bad decision by you". Some people should not have front-facing jobs. They should work in a warehouse, communicating with software and forklifts, away from the public. This frumpy gal would probably be a great forklift driver. She has no business in customer service - she may own the shop, and that is even worse. That section of 7th Ave is full of nice mom and pop stores with nice folks = not Lotions & Potions. I walked into a divine haven of scents that drew me in like no other! Jesse from @shakenitupaz was on hand to make you a fruity cocktail or mocktail in honor of the debut of new fragrances. I sure did get my cocktail and Jesse made it just right: not too much alchi, and the perfect amount of sweetness! He is a vibe, so catch him if you can next time. Betsy, the Assistant Boutique Manager, provided first class service all around. I felt like I was royalty from the moment I stepped in. I had no intention of making a purchase, but once I got a whiff of the new Raspberry Ripple paired with the Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne, I knew I had lost that battle!! Lol The Raspberry Ripple took me back to my childhood days when I had that little Strawberry Shortcake doll.. it smells just like her! Paired with the Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne, the combination is truly exhilarating as much as it is intoxicating! I purchased the mini set because I only plan to wear them on very special occasions. A short but sweet review is that Lather makes wonderful products that are naturally based and have the functionality & quality you'd expect from other high end product lines but using ingredient lists you can feel good about and trust. I absolutely love this brand and will continue to be a customer, as I've tried almost all of the products they make and we are lucky in AZ to have a brick and mortar location since there aren't many. I also purchase products online from them when I don't have time to stop in the store. Their loyalty program is really great with accumulating points that translate to discounts on purchases and special VIP sale events. They had an opened box but wouldn't let him look at bottle unless he paid for it. And after purchasing he looked no batch number on back of bottle and bottom metal part was coming off bottle which is 100 percent a fake product. It ruined my boyfriend's whole day and they were charging the same amount as what the discontinued cologne was going for. Sad part was the box that was opened and as probably returned by a customer that also had same issue as us. The lady at counter felt no remorse because they knew item was fake and selling it as authentic.
