BEST CATYLITIC CONVERTER repair shop in town. Mine got stolen by one of these crazy thieves out in Arizona right now and they fixed it for an extremely affordable price and I was in and out within 20 minutes. I would recommend getting there first thing in the morning - that's what I did. read more

Great service! Friendly staff, took care of any questions and concerns I had with exhaust. Highly recommend this place

I had inquired locally for help with my Dodge, 3 shops had failed to call me back. So I took a Sunday on Yelp to ask for help, figuring I would get a response on Monday. Instead, Rusty contacted me that Sunday and five texts later, the repair was offered and today, 11/21/2022, the job was done. Cannot thank this shop enough for the help. I have complete confidence in Rusty and Performance Muffler. God bless you. read more

Performance Muffler - Took my Grandkids with me for the repair so they could learn mechanics and get Sushi, thank you Rusty. Phoenix, a clean beautiful city. - Auto Customization Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I just moved here from Colorado and was in desperate need of someone to take a look at my car. When it was being unloaded from the semi, the moving company bottomed it out so I wanted to make sure everything was ok. These guys (Zach! Scott!) put my car up on the lift and did a thorough inspection and found that the brackets for my sway bar had been damaged to the point that they needed to be replaced. Quick service, amazing customer care, and they appreciated how important the car is to me. When I'm ready for new pipes, this shop is getting my business. Thanks, y'all! read more

Had my factory mid resonator cut out and had an X-pipe replace it place, fast and easy experience just miscommunication on the end bits.

Great service and quality work! They got it done fast and efficiently. Would highly recommend.

My dad needed his catalytic converters replaced on his 2005 Nissan Xterra. He was quoted nearly $1,900 from where he normally goes and wondered if he could do better and asked me to help him find a shop. Performance Muffler came up as a good place based on reviews. He got a quote from them for significantly less and just had the service done. Performance was quick and for a few bucks LESS than quoted. Thanks for taking care of my pops, he's a happy camper! I'm so happy I found Performance Muffler after a quick search and checking reviews! I called this morning about the catalytic converter and a pesky check engine light making it so I couldn't pass emissions. They answered my call, I brought my car in this afternoon, they immediately took a look at it while their lunch was getting cold on the front desk. Just a few hours later I had a new cat converter and no more engine light. The guys here were friendly, extremely quick and didn't break my bank account. Thanks Guys! P.S. I love the decor... I stopped by for an estimate. First young man quoted me a price. Then went and got another employee to see when they could fit me in. He came out and quoted me a different price. Neither seemed to want to do the job. Did they raise the price so I would leave? If so, it worked. I left and went to another place who was happy I walked in and wanted my business. Just my personal experience with performance muffler. read more

This shop is by far the BEST place to go for exhaust work. I had them fix some work done by another shop here in Phoenix. The owner of Performance Muffler, Russ, was onsite and did all of the work for me. He identified what was in need of fixing and showed me what was needed to repair my truck. The previous shop incorrectly installed a muffler on my truck (which was a cheap knockoff of what I paid for) and they stole two of my exhaust hangers. Performance muffler put on a Magnaflow muffler for me along with two exhaust hangers at a fraction of the cost of the previous shop. What took the other shop 2 hours to mess up, Performance Muffler was able to fix in less than 30 minutes. To top it all off, their prices are very reasonable and I was only charged for exactly the amount of time that it took to do the work. I'm very pleased with this shop and will 100% be back for any custom work I may need in the future. I highly recommend this place. read more

I brought in my dodge charger RT to get a corsa extreme catback exhaust installed. This is a pricey exhaust ($1700+) so I wanted it done right. I was given a good installation price and i figured it was worth driving 45+ mins here. Half way into the install, they tell me to come into the work zone to take a look. They then tell me my corsa exhaust doesn't fit. They said it's "missing a piece". Another employee begins to tell me that I need an exhaust for the dodge charger scatpack/hellcat model. They tell me that my RT model comes stock with a performance exhaust used on the scatpack/hellcat model. I was puzzled, but since my car came with the performance fascia/front bumper it seemed plausible. They disassembled the corsa exhaust, loaded up my car, and then put back my old exhaust. I had no choice but to leave and consult Corsa to get a replacement. 45+ mins later I get home and realize my stock exhaust is now rattling. I had to drive 45 mins back for them to fix the issue. Turns out that one of their tech "left something unscrewed". SMFH. 3 guys working on my car and this is what I get. Another 45+ mins back home. I went back and forth with Corsa Performance (company that sold me the exhaust). They were puzzled but still sent me parts for the scatpack/SRT model. After reviewing the manual, I see that Performance Muffler FAILED to cut the active valve assemblies from the stock exhaust and reuse it on the corsa exhaust (aka the "missing piece") . I ended up taking the exhaust to an actual competent muffler shop in Mesa and the installer completed the install like a performance shop is supposed to. ONE GUY and he did an excellent job. Pretty fucking sad. I'm not sure what i did to inspire this level of mediocrity. Wondering to myself..did I smile too much or did I give the impression that i didn't want quality work? Was it my adidas shorts and mohawk? Terrible. read more

These guys are awesome, friendly, knowledgeable and fair pricing. Most important of all professional at what they do. I came in for a simple exhaust leak and they were able to identify flaws from the previous shop my truck was at in a matter of minutes. They even tightened down headers due to them recently being installed they were a bit lose. Definitely the place to come for all your exhaust needs. read more

I I have a 2014 Dodge Challenger SRT8 and I wanted to have something that rumbled. I called around to several muffler shops to have a custom exhaust done and I ended up using performance muffler. I spoke with Tim prior to coming to the shop, he was very informative and knowledgeable. He provided the price and about how long it would take. He special ordered the Flowmaster super 10's. As soon as they arrived he let me know. Once I arrived he lifted the car and let me know exactly how everything would be handled and then he and the new guy went to work. They removed all stock resonators and mufflers and put in the super 10's and went straight pipes to the back. I could not be more thrilled. Sounds beefy and was exactly what I wanted, not only does it sound good, but it was inexpensive. Thank you so much guys. I won't be going anywhere else. Aaron B read more

Great staff here! Helped me pick out a muffler to my specific wants and was very pleased with their recommendations.

they do quality work at very reasonable prices been goin to them for my exhaust and converter work for many years

I cannot say enough good things about this company. After visiting both their locations for two different cars which needed full custom exhaust's they did an excellent job each time! No leaks, Looked great, and a LIFETIME warranty on their work. All for a very, VERY high quality job for quite reasonable prices. Other shops quoted much higher; not to mention the price of a bolt on exhaust being almost quadruple what I was charged at Performance Muffler! All the staff was super cool, they all knew what they were talking about, as well as being super awesome, knowledgeable, and attentive. read more

This place is great. After shopping around for quotes and getting alot of crazy numbers thrown at me, this place offered the best price because they know what they are doing. All i needed was an Axle-back exhaust installed, a simple bolt-on and they knew what to do and how much to charge from the get-go. Everyone else followed up with ridiculous/unnecessary questions. Best of all, i went in without an appointment, and they helped me leave extremely satisfied within 30 minutes. Great service, superior knowledge. read more

This is the second vehicle I've brought to Performance Muffler and both times I walked away very satisfied with their friendly and knowledgeable staff, very reasonable prices and quick service. First was an exhaust hanger repair for my F150 which they knocked out in minutes and the second was installing an X-pipe with resonator delete I brought in for my 2017 Shelby GT350. They provided me with some options and even let me know about some custom stuff they could do to assist me with passing decibel limits at some local tracks. Tim was very informative and was able to squeeze me in between some scheduled appointments. This is the only muffler shop in town I will take my vehicles to. read more

I want to give a shout out to Performance muffler's https://performancemuffler.net/. I have had two dealings with them with my 35 foot RV and have been very impressed by their fair pricing and quick response time. Dealing #1 - dealer told me it would be $2800 for a new catalytic converter and would have to wait 2 weeks. Performance charged my $800 and did it same day. Dealing #2 - on trip back from NV I hit something on the road that destroyed by exhaust system. (I had to cut off the last 8 or so feet to get the RV home.) Performance rebuilt and repaired my exhaust for $200 and had it done in a few hours. read more

Reviews are all accurate. Received an estimate, was told it would be completed in 30-60 minutes. On both accounts they were wrong--- the work was completed faster and the work cost less than the estimate. It is good to know that there are still trustworthy people. Thank you for your great work. I know where I need to goto when the need arises. read more

This place is run by a guy named Russ - he is extremely skilled. Over the duration of hanging out watching him work, I witnessed people entrusting him with classic cars to euro tuners - doing specialty stuff. He has a great eye and works fast, and has a high emphasis on quality. You just have to realize it's basically a one-man shop so you won't get pampered (haha more like ripped off @ M*das) like at a big commercial shop, and he is a busy guy so he doesn't have a lot of time to talk, but what you miss out on in a fancy waiting room, you more than make up with quality. Also my BMW sounds badass now! read more

Been here a few times now. First to fix a botched horrible (you get what you pay for) xpipe install. I was so happy I came back and let them finish building a catback. Now I'm back (a 3rd time) at no fault of theirs. I went too loud even though Russ warned me. oops. Now I'm going to have them add a couple glass packs to take away some drone. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Have recommended many others who are also blown away by the quality/price. Come down and see Russ and his crew. Pro tip: you better be here early to beat me and others on Saturday mornings. 4 of us waiting for doors to open at 8 and it's only 650. Popular place? Yup. read more

Took my 2015 50th Anniversary Mustang GT in to Performance Muffler and Russ today, to install my Air Raid CAI and Ford Racing by Borla Sport Catback exhaust system. First off, I called around a couple of places and got quotes on how much it would cost me ahead of time to install the CAI and exhaust. I also then called Performance Muffler for a quote and Russ was much more reasonable and was dead on for cost and time estimate. He didn't even mind me watching him work while he did the installs. He also took good care of the stock parts removal, and carefully stored the parts in my trunk after their removal. Bottom line, Russ and Performance Muffler did an excellent job on the install, did it quickly, and were actually 1/3 of the labor cost than the other quotes I had. Thank you again Russ, I will always recommend you guys and hopefully send quite a few more 2015 Mustangs your way for their exhaust and intake installs. 5 stars! read more

Performance Muffler on North 32nd Street installed a Legato axel-back I purchased on-line on my 2016 Mustang GT. They had the best reviews in the area and quoted a low price, particularly for a system they hadn't seen before so didn't know potential gotchas. It didn't take long for them to cut off the factory parts and get the new ones installed with perfect fit. When I went to pay, I was pleasantly surprised they gave me a veteran's discount after seeing my plates. Thanks, Scott and Zach! read more

They made me a lifelong customer today! Such great service and knowledgeable and friendly technicians. I called in this afternoon to have my muffler looked at because it has been making a very loud rattling noise. They said I could bring it in anytime and they would take a look at it. Upon my arrival they promptly took my keys and drove my car to the lift. After a quick welding job the problem was taken care of.
