Our vehicles, on several occasions, had totally rookie maintenance mistakes, misorders, mis-assemblies, plain old misses. Finding the Alauria family repair shop, the "Servants of Sunnyslope Rising" , quality repairs, three year, 36,000 mile warranties, made us permanent customers. Three more family vehicles get serviced here now. Proper inspectiond and troubleshooting, no rookie mistakes. Follow up as needed, Pricing appropriate for this level of service. And my life savings are not getting paid out to a global shareholder pool.

I really appreciate their communication process, including texted reports and photos of the work being done. So far, everything they've done has been straightforward and honest. When I've questioned their diagnostics or recommendations, Kirk has taken the time to explain things clearly and has even reached out to Jasper (the company that rebuilt my engine) just to help put my mind at ease. That level of follow-through means a lot, especially after a bad experience elsewhere. My one significant complaint is their shop fees. These charges aren't itemized as a "shop supply fee" or anything specific -- they just appear as a flat fee, and they're not disclosed anywhere in the initial quote. Most shops I've dealt with cap this type of fee around $50, but I was charged $90 on one occasion. Not listing this upfront feels misleading, and I think it's something customers should be made aware of before authorizing work. That said, trust in the actual mechanical work matters a lot to me, and this shop has earned that trust. I'll continue bringing my vehicle here, but I'd strongly encourage them to be more transparent about these fees upfront -- it would go a long way toward making an already good experience a great one.

We paid a lot of money for what we thought would be a new engine and when we got it back three weeks later it was just our engine rebuilt but not well. The check engine light was still on and when we went to do our first oil change we found the engine has been mounted oddly so we could no longer use the recommended filter size. Additionally we also found that the vacuum lines weren't connected and laying on the exhaust manifold under the leaking valve cover manifold. The radiator hose was on an antique plastic garden hose shut off (which was broken and leaking) and the plastic tubing had vise grip hose clamps. The exhaust manifold only had one bolt in it and it wasn't even tightened all the way. There were additional leaks that caused a small engine fire with melted wire sheathing. For the money and the time we should have just bought a new vehicle or did the repairs in a parking lot somewhere. So if you want to get ripped off and screwed over hit this place up. But remember to save some money for the post repair repairs. I'll be over here pushing my vehicle off the road and crying over the craptastic services I received.
