I contact customer service, they apologize and say they're going to expedite my corrected order, and then several days later another person calls from the company to confirm that I need products? Looking for ethical business practices and reliable delivery of life saving supplies? Look elsewhere. I established care with Performance Home Medical in Jan 2024 (CPAP rental + DME supplies). After a May 2024 pulmonology visit (notes + RX good for a year), I tried to reorder in early 2025 and was told by Crystal to re-see my pulmonologist and to "get supplies from the internet" in the meantime when I told her I was out. They also failed to bill the 13th rental month (intentionally, I believe, hoping the lapse in rental payments would trigger a new 13 month rental period. Very shady!). I switched to Bellevue Healthcare and had zero issues. In June 2025, staff member Crystal called to place the order I'd needed months earlier; when I said PHM was no longer my supplier and not to contact my doctors, she became rude and threatened collections for my CPAP machine, which would have been mine already if they'd sent that 13th bill. I need these supplies to breathe at night and collections are terrifying! Aside from it being illegal/impossible to send to collections what hasn't been billed, it's unprofessional and cruel for her to make threats like this to a homebound disabled patient. No one this lacking in empathy and competence should be talking to sick people. I'm medically fragile, and that call caused a dangerous symptom spike/drop in my vitals. My caregiver phoned after; another staffer properly notated my account, seeming confused by Crystal's errors and rudeness. Shortly after, Crystal called and left my caregiver a message, acting as if she'd "pulled strings" and done a big favor to invoice the 13th month and leave me alone. No apology, zero accountability. In my experience, this was unprofessional, felt predatory, and demonstrates a medical practice not equipped for complex patients. I would not recommend. read more

Regarding Sequim WA. The receptionist and Julia were 100% wonderful. They were both friendly, patience, and helpful. Julia repeated the answer to my question until I understood with kindness and patience. If you live in Sequim you are lucky to be working with them! Headquarters were terrible. I have been using this company for my CPAP supplies for the last 3 years. This last order took 18 days to arrive and was not complete. Supposedly, these supplies need to be replaced on a certain schedule. Don't plan on that if you use this company. The shipping takes forever and you will not receive all the items. Then you will have to go to the local office to pick up the missing supplies. I have to do this every time. Don't expect an apology because you will not receive one from Linda. read more

Terrible! Telephone "service" to order supplies (paid for by insurance) couldn't be worse.

The worst customer service I have ever encountered.....as in "there is none"! I have been trying for 6 weeks to get set up with them for my cpap equipment and no word yet! I have called and called numerous times and no one EVER picks up the phone or calls me back. I have sat on hold for hours trying to get through. My experience has been the exact opposite. I have been using the Sequim office since 2015 for my CPAP needs, and have always found them helpful. I get my supplies through Medicare, so maybe that is a different story, but both Linda, the receptionist, and Julia, the technician have been great. Yes, if you are having an issue with your equipment, you have to make an appointment, but if you're getting your supplies from them, there's no charge for this. Yes, they want to sell you supplies-that's how they stay in business. read more

Avoid. Predatory billing practices, scheduling difficulties and generally obstructive staff.

I received great training for my replacement CPAP machine, but when I discovered that the filters were missing from the kit, I received nothing but a snotty remark from the receptionist. I followed up with letters asking them to send me the filters, and I go NO RESPONSE. This was an expensive piece of equipment, and they have lost my repeat business because they took no action. Terrible terrible terrible service. Call them and you cannot reach a real person. But when they call you they want you to buy their supplies. If you asked them about your equipment the person called can't seem to help you and tells you you need to make an appointment. I've had nothing but trouble from this company. read more

I have been a Performance Home Medical customer for more than 5 years. During that time I have ordered a CPAP machine and new supplies every 3 months. I have always been treated with respect and courtesy and had many face to face meetings with the staff. I have never experience any problems and my questions have always been answered completely. As far as phone contact, it is common for large organizations to have automated services to direct your calls and I have never found this to be a problem. I highly recommend this company not only for their CPAP expertise, but also for their friendly and courteous customer service. read more

After several years of frustration with the competitor store locally, we tried Performance and have nothing but praise to say. They operate efficiently, are friendly and helpful and have not thrown up any of the bureaucratic barriers about Medicare that their competitors used to make life miserable for us. Bravo! read more
