When I have asked someone for an item, without fail, the store employee will literally walk me to the item. I have seen the store manager bagging groceries on many occasions. (I think it is pretty rare to actually find this kind of servant leadership these days - good for the store manager!). This store has a pretty good selection too. Between this QFC and the Chimacum Farmstand which has outstanding, hard-to-find and locally sourced items, I am set. No need to go anywhere else on the peninsula.

It took me back to being a kid and asking grandma to buy me a sundae or a bag of Fritos with a scoop of chili in it. Burger and fries for $4.75, $4.95 if you want cheese on it. His arrived as we were talking and it looked so good we decided to stay. I'm glad we did! We both had cheeseburgers. I never have onion on mine, it's too sharp of a flavor and takes away from the burger. Bun was lightly toasted, plenty of smatterings but not too much. The beef was grilled on a flat top and had a nice crispiness to it but still juicy. It's a thinner pattie but was plenty for the sandwich. You get a couple of leaves of lettuce and a thick tomato. It made me think of a Dick's deluxe if it wasn't mass produced. We had lunch at Lunchbox laboratory the day before and I have to tell you I liked this better! The fries were to die for! They are thinner like McDonald's fries but come unsalted. Which I liked because I'm an adult and can decide how much salt I want. Beautiful crispy fries served piping got. So darn good! The whole meal was perfection in a plastic basket. We really struck gold by chance and we are so happy for it. Definitely coming back!

He also insisted my friend return the next day for a recheck before leaving town, even though that would be a good hour before their opening time of 8 am. Said to just knock on the door and he would let him in for a BP check. I've never known a pharmacist that showed such concern - especially for someone who doesn't even live here. I have also found that their prices are substantially lower than the other two pharmacies in PT. Very happy they are here!

There were none in the greeting cards aisle and none near the souvenir t-shirts. I asked the Security Guard and he suggested Aisle 4... Nope. That's the beverage aisle. I thought that I should check Aisle 1 since I looked in every other aisle... Of course the post cards were there! The last place was the winner! I grabbed a bunch and waited in line to pay. The customers ahead of me didn't have their wallets out and one woman had questions about a gift card. I give these store clerks credit... challenging customers test your patience... LOL! I just wanted to hurry outta there because I wasn't sure if I was in a free parking space on the street or not!

I…read morejust needed to grab a couple of waters and an energy drink for me and a coworker on my way to the office. Seemed easy enough. But this store was almost empty. The shelves were bare; I was surprised to see so little stuff. I found water, but they didn't have the energy drink I wanted, so I had to get something else. That wasn't the only problem. There were two security guards who kept watching me as I walked around (even though I was wearing business clothes and clearly wasn't stealing anything). I get that security is important in the downtown areas of cities, but being followed while just trying to figure out what to get with the horrible selection felt weird and a little insulting. I had a backpack, but I didn't think I needed that much attention. On top of that, there were two guys doing drugs right in front of the store windows. I know the store can't control what happens outside, but it made the whole place feel really uncomfortable, especially at 9:00 in the morning. I know a lot of cities in the Pacific Northwest have problems with drugs, and some stores are still having trouble after the pandemic. But not even having basic things in stock, plus the security following me, and the drug use right outside made it a bad experience. This place gets one star, not just because of what was happening outside, but because they didn't even have the stuff I needed. It's a sad situation, and I hope it gets better.

This was my first time picking up prescriptions at Ostroms and I have to say I was VERY impressed…read more My prescriptions were ready almost right away and I was able to give all of my insurance information through a simple text. The environment was very relaxing and there was almost no line inside (though I believe there were a few cars in the drive-thru). The lovely pharmacy assistant that helped check me out was very nice and helped set up my prescriptions to auto-renew. Heaven knows I'm horrible at remembering to call in my refills until it's too late so hopefully this helps future me! Mind you, I have been to SEVERAL pharmacies in the area--usually grocery stores (several Safeways, Fred Meyer, QFC, Costco, Walgreens--you name it) and average spending at LEAST a half hour in line in a severely understaffed pharmacy with a single stressed out pharmacist juggling multiple tasks. I got none of these stressy vibes at Ostroms. The shop was super cute too and I will definitely find something here next time I need to purchase a gift. The only thing that sucked was getting in and out of the parking lot during rush hour-ish time. That was a nightmare but not Ostroms fault by any means!
