I have been seeing Dr. Cynthia Bidgari for over 7 years, and she has always been brilliant, as well as the men personnel that work there. But there is an individual woman who has time and time been downright rude. Dr. Bidgari has since taken a job elsewhere and I have had just about enough of this rude individual. I found Dr. Bidegary-Tok to be efficient, highly skilled and enjoyable as a person. Due to some medication, I am taking, I have some special needs and required a couple of appointments. Doctor Tok was absolutely terrific. How she made an eye exam fun is hard to explain, but she did. I also found her staff very nice. read more

We had been waiting a year to get in. Finally got in! These ladies and the gentleman go above and beyond to help you feel safe and comfortable. We have been waited on by everyone and they are all super nice and knowledgeable. My husband is hearing impaired and everyone spoke up so he could hear. He and I really appreciate the effort. On two occasions Sequim Vision Clinic repaired my more than 25-year-old prescription reading glasses. There was no charge for this service, even though I did not purchase the glasses from them. Denny even went so far as to order several new hinges from Seiko and insert a new one, savings me the cost of purchasing new frames. Denny's repair expertise and his fast and friendly service were greatly appreciated. I know where to go when I eventually need new glasses!!!! read more

Unfortunately, I can't go along with the crowd on Sequim Vision Clinic. After getting my prescription wrong two times and a disagreement with their manager, I was dismissed from the practice. Now they won't continue my glaucoma medication until my next new appointment 5 month away at another clinic. Not only is that just downright mean on Dr. Bidegary's part, but it is an ethics violation. And I thought they cared! read more

All I wanted was a general eye exam which costs $79.95 at Costco or Wal-Mart and before I knew it the initial appointment cost $196 and the second appt cost $165. The reason for the (2) appt's - as I was told - was for an extensive 2nd test (field vision test) that is covered in a one time appt at either Costco or Wal-Mart. There was no need for (2) appts that I know of except for Sequim Vision to do some extra billing. I could go on and on about how nice the receptionist was, but I don't want to dilute the incompetence of the individual doing the examinations. By the way, the Field Vision Test was done by a trainee doing it for the first time. when I go to my Glaucoma Dr. we do all of this in one appt, for a lot less than $300.00. I have insurance which paid the 2nd amount but wouldn't pay the overall $300.00. I believe this clinic bills out more than necessary and they won't tell you their fees until they bill you so they cover their extra billing amounts. The bottom line here is - "Go somewhere else." read more

I'm not surprised that they never updated their information on Yelp. They are currently located on 5th Ave. I was a current patient. When I originally scheduled an appointment over a month ago, and advised I had more of a medical issue, I was given an appointment that was six weeks out. Today, I had an emergency that kept me from making the appointment on time. I called when I could, where I still had 15 to 20 minutes left on my original appointment to advise that I was late and could I reschedule or still come in. I was less than 5 minutes away. The response was to reschedule me another six weeks out, even when I clearly stated that the medical condition with my eye was deteriorating and that in order to see the local ophthalmologist, I needed a referral and if anything that was all I needed. The answer was no, but I was put on an on call appointment that was still 5 weeks out. I was rudely told that I needed to answer my phone as they don't leave messages. Sequim is a small town with limited medical choices. Even with that, overall healthcare can be great with some doctors that go out of their way, i.e. Jamestown Health Clinic and Olympic Medical Center. There are a number of what I call independents, i.e. Sequim Vision Clinic, where they think that because of the limited choices they can be arrogant and rude. I'm in the process of changing my eyecare professional and advise anyone considering Sequim Vision Clinic to look elsewhere if possible. They don't even deserve the one star. read more

I've been a patient here for about 5 years. It may take awhile to get an appointment, but I feel comfortable with the staff and my optometrist. I have a fairly mild prescription, but the glasses that I received from this clinic were the best that I've had. My vision is crisp and clear. I will continue to be a patient. read more

I have only had good experiences at the Sequim Vision Clinic. The reviews of this business are a bit unbalanced, I believe.

So I am a longtime patient of Dr. Cays. In fact my grandparents and my mother, my brother, my 3 children and I have all been patients of his and Dianna's for many years. Their receptionists have always been rude and tastelessly arrogant. Dr. Cays has always been very compassionate caring and polite. He is very well educated and knows what he is doing and then some. Top of the line he is. He does an excellent job. Diana does a great job and of course is as well educated and does a fine job in terms of opthalmistry. The last experience that I had at their office was one that made it my last appointment with them. As I exited my mother's vehicle I forgot my mask and my cell phone. So after shed pulled away I'd realized my mistake. The only thing that I could think of to do was to take off my Jacket, a thick cotton sweatshirt which should have been more than sufficient beings how everyone is using these really thin cotton masks and it us acceptable. Anyways, I had the sweatshirt bunched up over my nose and mouth when I came through the door. This woman came flying out from the reception area and was shoeing me out telling me that i couldnt be in there. Of course everyone and their mother literally were staring at me. All of the patients and all of the staff members were staring. I'm the type where I just keep working or I try to engage someone around me to take attention away from the humiliated party but these people were not like that at all. You could hear a pin drop. kI told her that I had an appointment, that I'd just left my mask and phone in my mother's car mand asked if she could call my mom to request mthat she drop back by to let me grab my mask. Her demeanor and attitude told me that she thought that I was just bizarre. She reluctantly took down my mothers number and told me to go outside. I did so. My mother showed right back up I got my mask and attempted to enter the building yet again. And again the woman came flying from behind the reception area apparently I was approaching some sort of plant. in a pot to ky left when I walked in and It definately was not something that I should be doing. She was all over me. She told me to close my eyes and stick out my tongue? I said no. She said Im going to need you to close your eyes. Isaid I honestly just want to leave. I said I cant even walk into your building right and this is just humiliating ajd I just want to leave now. She said Maam im going to need you to close your eyes and stick out your tongue. I stuck out my tongue but left my eyes open. thank you. to this day ik not sure at all why i needed to close my eyes. and im oretty sure id would have just set her off again anyways. adter that i was instructed to pay a copay. i said you mean i have to pay for this too. i was so rattled by then that i could only find half of my cash that i had on my person . Mind you everyone is stil staring at me EVEN PEOPLE FROM THE OTHER ROOMS. I told the lady at the front desk that I was sorry that the only thing that I wanted to do at that point was just leave and explained that i was so rattled that i could only find half of the copay but assured her that by the end of the appointment that she would have her money she said it was fine wrote me a receipt for the partial pay and inwaited to be seen which was super fast diana seen my she witnessed everything she could tell inwas upset but she did nothing to ease my comfort level she just did her usual duties and Everyone was sure to stare as we moved from room to room to complete ky exam at one point we cane out of a room where the door had been shut and when we canw out so many people were still staring that i said shes still alive. anyways i finished my exam and i managed to find the remainder of the copay in a pocket and paid te remaining balance and left. whwn my mom pulled up i told her what happened and she stormed in there and told diana that it wasnt okay the way i was treated and diana assured her that it was nit like that. and my mom told her im sure that it was. it taked an aweful lot to upset her that way. she also told her that no one in our family will ever step foot in their office again. read more

After reading the previous reviews, I gasped! I do understand that there are miscommunications, and other issues with medical appts, trust me I have worked the medical front desk field for 15 years. Sequim Vision Clinic has never been rude, never made me feel less important. They ARE busy, this IS a small town, and other providers are busy too! Its unfortunate that there are not enough doctors to go around, but this is MY choice for optometry. Dr. Cindy Bidegary and Dr. Diana Young are top notch, friendly and very knowledgeable. The front staff is awesome, patient and friendly. But sometimes that needs to be reciprocated by the community! read more

When I scheduled an appointment with this office, the receptionist was extremely friendly. However, I had asked to be put on a waiting list for a quicker appointment time as to which a different receptionist called me back offering (What it sounded like to me) a 3:30 check in time with a 3:45 appointment or a 3:45 check in time with a later appointment. I chose the 3:45 check in time and the receptionist sounded very confused, then I was confused. Anyway, I thought the appointment was a 3:45 check in time with a 4:00 appt. I showed up at 3:50 (5 mins late from the check in time) and I greeted the receptionist with a smile, whereas she glared, rolled her eyes and looked at the clock. I said "I am SO sorry I'm late!" she snarked at me and said "Uhhh yeah, you are"... The way she said it was so rude. I said "I'm sorry... but i'm only 5 minutes late." She said "NO. I talked to you on the phone and I told you, your appointment was check in at 3:30 and your APPOINTMENT was at 3:45". Again, she was EXTREMELY rude. I didn't want to sit there and argue with her. She may have told me my check in time was at 3:30, but the way she explained it on the phone was extremely confusing, she should have just told me a check in time... Not appointment time, not given me two options for which I could choose my appointment... I asked her if she wanted me to reschedule, and she just sighed, rolled her eyes an said no. I should have walked out right then and there. The whole office acted as if I was an inconvenience to them. I didn't even make them run behind. Overall, this was an EXTREMELY unprofessional atmosphere and unpleasant experience and I will not be going back. read more
