He was very thorough with the inspection and very honest with everything he found. Daniel was very knowledgeable and thoroughly showed me every little problem we had and how to deal with it. He did not seem rushed and was willing to answer all my questions. We scheduled the repair a week before our move and we were on a tight schedule. Daniel and his team were able to remove our old furnaces and vents from the attic and our dual AC unit from the side of our home in one day. His team was even nice enough to remove a fence surrounding our AC units outside. New units were then installed within the next 1.5 days. All trash removed in an orderly fashion. Everything was pretty much ready to go way before we moved into the home. Overall, Quality First is a top notch business run by very knowledge professionals. Daniel was the technician, you came right on time with the appointment and did the inspection and figured out our capacitor is blown. Unfortunately, he did not have the correct capacitor, so head to come again next morning before his day started and took care of me. Daniel was very friendly and knowledgeable tech. I instead opted to call someone local to me (Escondido) instead of someone having to drive from 20 miles out. I called Monday morning, was booked for that same afternoon as our AC decided not to work at 1am. Surprisingly, Jim arrived just before 12pm as he was already in the area. I very much welcomed the early arrival as the heat was starting to escalate. It took Jim literally 3 minutes to diagnose the problem of our AC, a burnt relay contact (I wrongly predicted a faulty capacitor). This is how you know you are dealing with an experienced professional when he brings out only the necessary tools and leaves the work site clean. Jim was in and out in about 35 minutes (should have been less than 30 if I hadn't asked questions). As they say in the industry, there are no second chances for first impressions, Because of this, I'll give them my business for AC maintenance moving forward due to my great experience, promptly saving me and family from roasting in an above average SoCal summer. Joe's price was competitive, and he was able to create a zoned system which will heat/cool our living spaces during the day, and our sleeping spaces at night, saving us additional $. My only complaint (though not REALLY a complaint) is that the job took longer than expected. This was in large part due to the trouble removing the old behemoth unit from our attic, through a narrow access stairway. Joe & his helper had to saw it up into manageable sized pieces to get it out. (it must have been original 1978, and placed before the 2nd story ceiling sheetrock was installed). Joe did NOT ask for any increase in price, in spite of the additional work that was required - a real PLUS! Also the supplier shipped an incorrect part with the new unit, and the correct one had to be sent, requiring an additional return trip.
