When they installed the A/C unit they provided Internet access to the property manager, although nobody asked me if it was ok with me to give him access instead of giving it to me (i'm the one who was billed for the extra $615). I admit that i did not object when i was told: that day he was the one on site and i was in another continent, so it made sense to me that they installed the way they installed. What i was not told is that it is very difficult and expensive to change user. When i fired the property manager, I emailed them to get access to my A/C: they want $250 to "reset the unit" so that i can be the user of this WiFi adapter. Apparently only one person can have access via the Internet, and changing to another person requires their staff to "reset the unit". I asked if this "reset" is something that i can do myself, and she clearly stated that it has to be done by them.
It is not even clear what happens if you change the WiFi password: does that too require a $250 "reset"? (maybe now they will finally answer this simple question that they didn't answer on the phone).
So:
1. Do NOT get the WiFi option with their A/C units: it may cost you $250 every time you want to change something related to your Internet service
2. Their customer support is obviously not the best. Rebecca was only interested in repeating that they were very busy and i better make an appointment right away for the $250 "reset". Meanwhile a stranger (my old property manager) is the only one who has Internet access to my A/C because of the way they set it up.
I sent her the attached email. No reply as of today.

I am sorry Rebecca but i went through all the paperwork and our emails and i don't see anywhere that i authorized your company to give anyone other than me access to the units over Internet.
I am the one who paid $615 for Internet access, and $9,000 for the whole job, plus $6,000 for the other job.
...
If only one person at a time can access the unit over the Internet, that's
important to know. In that case, that person should obviously be me, the one who paid and owns it.
I paid promptly as soon as the job was done so i think i deserve a bit more respect and help.
Imagine if i installed a lock to your front door and then gave the key to the first person who asks for it instead of giving it to you, and then i asked you $250 to give the key back to you.
P.S. of June 24:
This business provided no customer support, only an 800 number to call Mitsubishi. I did and, lo and behold, the instructions to set up (or reset) these Internet interfaces are really easy. I set up the three Internet interfaces myself in no more than 15 minutes for all the 3 units that i have. So it is actually really easy to change who has control over the Internet of these units, contrary to what this business told me.
(No, you don't need to know "the email and password used to start the account": when you reset each unit as per instructions, the app never asks for that information. It simply connects via Bluetooth and registers each A/C unit in the house in 3 easy steps)
Sorry Jacob, but you guys need to improve the quality of your customer support. When a customer who spent $15,000 with you asks you a question, he deserves an answer. You guys didn't reply until i posted a negative review on Yelp. And then you just gave me an 800 number to call, and incorrect information. Luckily, Mitsubishi did provide real customer support.
For the record, you guys had connected to the Internet only 1 of the 3 units in the house. I was told this on the phone by Mitsubishi (that checked the serial numbers) and then i saw it in person at the house: one can tell by the way the lights blink. read more
