The team at Comphel did a clean installation of a mini split. The system initial install included: - I New Mitsubishi 36K BTU outdoor condenser and on new pad -,Mitsubishi 18K, 15K and 9K BTU high wall mounted units in our vacation home. Initially, the 15k + 9K units were installed upstairs with the 18k unit in the basement (both up and down stairs have 1450ft sq). After we used the system a few times, we realized the 18k unit in the basement was underutilized and would be better suited upstairs. We asked Comphel to swap the 18K basement unit with the 15K unit upstairs. They got back to us promptly, and we scheduled the swap of the units. We ran into some complications during the swap related to the fit of the units as well as some complications with specific concrete block mounting hardware. They indicated they would need to re-schedule this job for a later date. I told the technician, Evran, since the mini splits were all ready pulled (and main unit sealed, etc.) it made no sense to re-connect everything and do the swap at a later date. The main problem was the mounting of the 15k bracket to the concrete block in the basement as we didn't have the correct concrete/mason bit. We also had to re-position the unit upstairs as it wouldn't fit between the ceiling beans. I asked Evran if I could help and gave him a Mason bit I had. Well sure enough, that bit broke! No problem, I drove into the local Lowe's and bought 2 new 1/8" bits while Evran mounted the upstairs unit (sheet rock and studs no problem vs. concreted block in basement), I Just want to recognize Comphel and especially Evran's efforts and persistence to complete the job! Waited 4.5 weeks after our bid to have a new unit put in. On the day, they were 5 hours late, then spent 20 minutes and said they could not put the unit in. Never called us to let us know why, just left. Have not made a strong effort to rectify the problem or even explain what happened. We used to be satisfied with Comphel, but not anymore. The heat in our vacation home stopped working and they fixed it. Or so we thought. The very next time we came up it stopped working again. They came and supposedly fixed it and did a comprehensive servicing. Now we are here again and it stopped again. We called them starting at 7 am and it's hours later and not even a return call. Another company came and said the drain pipe is completely blocked -- the kind of blockage that takes years to build up. So much for the comprehensive servicing four months ago! first ever yelp review, but felt this company deserved one. been with this company 7-8 years and this last couple of services did not go well. in the previous service my filter was installed backwards. i was told this by his replacement. this summer during 100 degree temp., the air would not come on. called for service and was told it would be 3 weeks out. really! called central and they came out in 2 days. 135 dollars to tell me the conductor was not hooked up. compel was the only ones servicing the unit. it has been about 3 weeks since i notified compel to make good on the 135. have not heard back. i think i will stick with central read more

Chad came out and gave us a bid for replacing our heater. He was very professional and friendly. He said we would have our est on Monday and I got it on Monday. We hired them for work. Chad showed up on time with his CO worker Brandon took them approx 3 hours from start to finish. They made sure everything was cleaned up and hauled off old equipment. I only wish there were more stars to give. I turned on my ac remotely at 5:30 am on the Friday of 4th of July weekend. I arrived at my Pml house and discovered the inside temperature was 91 degrees. I called Comphel at 3:55 pm even though I had read that they closed at 4:00. The phone was answered and I was told they would try and get someone out and would call back. It being the holiday weekend, I had my doubts I would get a return phone call. Not only did I get a call back within 15 minutes, I got an apology for not being able to get out until the following morning. I was relieved to get the Saturday morning repair. Nate showed up the next day and quickly assessed the problem. He installed a new capacitor and the ac proceeded to cool the house. Our holiday weekend with our overnight guests, turned what was predicted to be a very miserable weekend, into a very enjoyable holiday. read more

Compehl gave great estimate, Jarrod & Erin showed up on time for the install, finishing in a day and it works perfectly. We recently received an inspection report of a furnace from Comphel. We were in the process of buying a house. The report stated that the furnace is in good working order provided we clean the filters. We opted to buy the house and after found out that the furnace actuality is barely functional and at the end of its life. When I asked for a return for the inspection fee citing an incomplete inspection, the person on the other line stated,"...We inspect the operation of the unit, all visible functional parts ,voltages, air flow,  temperature, and current condition." They do not open up the furnace to look at the inside of the unit. I ask you... what is the point of an inspection if the company is only going to do a superficial glance at the unit? I imagine the inspector spent all of 5 minutes 'inspecting' the furnace. Why did we pay a professional to come do a partial inspection? As a company, you might as well charge more and provide a complete diagnostic, so customers can actually rely on your report. Now, we are looking at having to replace the furnace for many many thousands of dollars.  None of which was accounted for in our final offer for the house.  To say we are disappointed with the quality of this inspection report is a severe understatement. Do not use them for a home inspection. I can't say about any of their other services, but I know I won't be using them considering their idea of quality work. read more
