We had a fantastic experience with Ambrosia's Chimney Sweep. We were able to easily set up an appointment over the phone Since everyone is needing (and should) have a chimney sweep before lighting up their fireplaces/wood stoves in the upcoming colder weather - we had to wait a couple of weeks for our appointment. We received clear instructions in advance on when to stop having a fire in our stove before the upcoming cleaning, and how to clear away the area in front of the stove for the upcoming appointment. Justin showed up promptly on the day of our cleaning and got to work right away. He laid down a new tarp in front of the stove and was very thorough in his cleaning. He even replaced the gasket on our stove in the process. Throughout the appointment - Justin was friendly, helpful, and educational. He explained what signs we should look for - when it comes to the bricks in our stove and when to replace them, as well as offering up useful advice on our wood stove and how to best maintain it. It was evident in briefly talking with Justin - that he is very skilled at what he does - and he's passionate about it as well. The Chimney Sweep guy was very friendly, efficient, and informative. He was a talker in other words. A Chatty Chuck. But it was mostly about chimney sweeping. He showed us all the ways and places that less diligent chimney sweeps cut corners and don't always do a complete job. Just the parts the customer can see. It's easier and quicker for the sweep. But it isn't doing the job right. From Ambrosia's Chimney Sweep, this particular chimney sweep did an outstanding job, plus showed us what to be on the lookout for with lesser guys. A General contractor sent out a company to clean and inspect my fireplace and chimney. Well from what I can see it look like it was clean, but they didn't send an inspection report. So not wanting to trust a company twice I decided to call another company to make sure, so I called Ambrosia and made an appointment, when two guys came out and started pushing for me to consider a insert, I told them " I have central air and it not a pot belly stove, it a fireplace and I like to keep it that way, meanwhile he is looking up the chimney bad mouthing that they didn't clean it right, and told me if I wanted it like it was it would cost $25,000 in the end they charged me inspection fee and wrote on the receipt "report+proposal will be mailed to physical address" Well three weeks in heard nothing so I called the girl answered and told me she will call him to find out why it didn't get mailed. She called back and said he got so busy and will send it when he gets in, IT BEEN OVER A WEEK AND STILL NOTHING. WORST SERVICE EVER! read more

I called on them because I want to use local businesses since I'm new in town here in Twain Harte. The guy stopped by gave me a verible quote to replace 2 pipes on my cabin stove/fireplace in my living room and 2 in the roof. He said about $80 a pipe. So I'm thinking he is replacing 3 pipes at $80 each so $240 I'm thinking. So I say go ahead. I get a bill for $595 after the work is done. Just a total,no break down of parts and labor. I called asking what's up... the office gal called be back real nice. Says the guy remembers stilling about $80 a piece. So waiting for new bill and will update my review then. read more

We are so grateful for Ambrosia's Chimney Sweep Company. Our Propane Insert was cleaned and restored like new. It quit working in March of 2018. We went without heat till Dec 21, 2018. We weren't sure it could be fixed. Previous companies moved the fake logs around and vaccumed, but the professional workers at Ambrosia's took everything apart and it works like new.
