When my sister recommended Perfection Nails to me, she said, "they're not the friendliest, but they're good with designs". I couldn't agree more with that description! I was able to make a same day appointment over the phone for a gel manicure. When I arrived, the greeting wasn't super warm (as expected), but I didn't have to wait long to get started. I showed a picture of the design I wanted, and the nail tech was able to copy it extremely accurately! I don't know if that would be the case with a more complicated design, but I was very happy with the way it turned out. It did seem like they were skipping some steps (didn't clean the nail at the start or provide hand lotion at the end), so if the entire process is important to you, make sure you make that known. The pricing was very reasonable (I'm used to city prices, so I was thrilled) and I ended up paying only $35 plus tip (gel manicure with designs on 4 fingers). Overall, I would come back, but if you're looking for warmth and pampering, this might not be the place for you. read more

I'm never the type to leave a review complaining about a business. I don't make a fuss about much but my experience here was very bad to say the least. I walk in and the nail tech was rude to start. I show her the design I want and she grunts. Granted the nails i wanted involved a lot of colors, the design itself didn't seem that hard. I had asked for a GEL fill and was told that the acrylic she was using was gel. I've been getting my nails for over 4 years. I know the difference between acrylic powder and gel. She left my cuticles covered in clear polish when I left and by the second day my nails were lifting and had already chipped! I was so upset with the way my nails were left and the price they asked for ($55) that I immediately had to go get them redone elsewhere. I had really high hopes for this salon since it was recommended to me by a couple of my friends. Unfortunately my experience was not good. The salon does not take appointments. I was already warned so I came in ready to wait. The salon isn't modern at all. It's no frills. Nothing fancy. Not a huge factor but just something I noticed. When you walk in, there is a sign in sheet where you sign your name, list the service you want and technician you desire (if you want someone specific). I waited about a half hour and was called to do my pedicure. There was only one lady doing pedicures. Prior to me sitting, I told what I presume was the owner, I gave old gel on my toes. She said it was fine and simple to remove. I was finally seated and my pedicure began. The pedicure was quicker than I've ever experienced. She literally washed my feet and cut my nails and was going to grab my polish. I asked if she was going to scrub the bottom of my feet. A male came over and explained a regular pedicure cost $17 and didn't include a foot scrub. Just washing feet, cutting nails and painting. He said a spa pedicure, which included scrubbing the bottom of my feet and callous remover, was an additional $5-6. I said fine. I originally opted for a gel pedicure but the price of that literally changed on the spot. I then told him I would just get regular polish on my feet. All of a sudden, he tells me because I already had old gel on my toes, there was a $5 surcharge to remove the gel polish from my toes. Not a huge deal, but really??? I looked down at my toes and the polish was extremely sloppy. There was polish all over my toes. She tried to fix it but it was honestly horrible. My daughter could have painted my toes better. I asked for it to get fixed and another woman did it with an attitude. It wasn't even my fault. I kept telling the original lady the nail polish was everywhere but she didn't understand me. The other woman fixed the polish but I was already over the entire experience here. I opted not to do my nails here after this and went elsewhere. Doing your nails should be an enjoyable experience. This was not. I am beyond disappointed with this experience and will never return. read more

This was my first time visiting Perfection Nails. This nail salon was recommended by my friend and her nails always look fabulous! I got a regular pedicure and set of gel nails for my upcoming wedding. The pedicure was $18.00 dollars and it was just "ok". However, the woman Ashley who put on my gel set was AMAZING and very nice! The gel set I got was $65.00. I highly recommend getting your nails done here, but if you are looking for a good spa like pedicure I would recommend going somewhere else. I came here on a recommendation. I knew they did not take appointments and the wait might be long. I went on a Thursday around 11 a.m. and waited maybe 15 minutes, not bad, I've waited longer with an appointment. The male nail tech was lovely; I didn't get his name. He sat towards the front of the salon on the left with another woman, and they appeared to be the owners. Sorry for this long, long review, don't say I didn't warn you... Anyway, I had UV gel and wanted a New UV Gel French set. I knew it would take a while since I had to have the old set removed and a new one applied. He asked me what shape I wanted; I said squared with rounded edges. He started his thing, applying the pink and white, then I noticed as he began to file the nails, the White was coming off...ok...let me see where this is going. He's done filing and tried applying more white gel, that made the nails thick and uneven, and that white was eventually filed off...again. He proceeds to now give up on the white gel and started to paint on the French tip...uneven and many coats. It's now been an hour and forty-five minutes, and I'm just ready to go...needless to say, I paid $80 with the tip for a mediocre job. I was so disappointed that I just left without voicing my concerns (my fault, I know) but I couldn't sit there any longer. My boyfriend encouraged me to go back and see if they would fix it, my I couldn't do it. The guy tried his best to fix what was there, and failed. It sucks because he was very pleasant. read more

The pros is that they do an amazing job. (Only reason they got 3 stars) The shape the designs all top notch which is why i guess leads them to the cons...they have horrible bedside manners, extremely rude especially the owners. I guess since they have such a large clientele they don't value their customers and hence they treat you like they do....I tipped the owner $5 and paid $85 for a total of $90 for just my nails....I guess she didn't appreciate the tip because she rudely snatched it from my hand and walked away with not even a smile or a thank you. Not cool at all! So if you're looking for some friendliness and great customer service this is not the place ....but if that doesn't matter and you want bomb ass nails then I highly recommend....i guess it all depends on how thick your skin is! read more

He didn't cut my cuticles or really do anything besides apply nail colour. $25 for something a four year old could have done better. And if you are lucky to get the owner John he will tell you how difficult is to find good people who can do the beautiful nails and for that reason they are understaffed And he will take his time to explain everything you want to know as well as everything he is doing and why he is doing it. Last week I made an appointment for a simple gel manicure. I got the owner who sits at the first chair on the left. She asked me if I wanted my nails rounded and I said no. She then proceeded to file them all down to the skin. The manicure itself sucked as the polish started from the middle of my nail and she missed the sides. The polish was completely missing on the top of my thumb. Later that night 2 of my nails chipped off. I will never be coming back here. Also do yourself a favor and never use the bathroom, it was disgusting and has urine all over the floor. The entire salon is just dirty. read more

I hate to give this place 3 stars because they do some really cool designs and offer tons of colors and options BUT the wait time is ridiculous and a real deal breaker for me.. I am out on maternity leave so I have luckily been able to go earlier in the day (usually before 12 pm) and I wait about 20-30 min before being seen which is no biggie. But for someone with a Busy work schedule and can only go at nights, be prepared to spend your whole night waiting. I went on a Monday night at 6 pm and by 7 pm, I was still waiting along with 2 other people and 2 had already walked out. One of the girls in the chair was asking about her pedicure and they said it would be 25-30 min. So I had to leave because I would have been there passed 8:30 pm to get my nails and pedicure. Again, cool designs but if you look at the pictures on their instagram, not all of the paint jobs are top of the line and just not worth the 1 hour plus wait in my opinion. read more

One of the worst nail places I have ever been to - it is dirty; people are getting their nails done next to others who are getting waxed; the nail polish colors look like they've been there for years; and the workers are rude and do not even acknowledge you, nor thank you for their tip. The man who worked on my nails did not file them or cut my cuticles - isn't that what a manicure consists of? The person at the cash register was watching Facebook videos (?) on the computer while ringing me up for my services. I don't usually complain about my service but I'm very displeased. I went to perfections yesterday and got a gel mani and a pedicure. Nothing was perfect about my experience. The nail polish on my toes is streaky and when pointed it out to the tech she ignored it. Then while getting my manicure the tech was also doing a pedicure between. It looks horrible bc she seemed to care more about pleasing the other client. It's not like I was a walk-in. I scheduled my appointment and arrived early. When I complained to the cashier she just tried to pacify me. The only good thing about them is they can shape nails and have a good variety of colors. read more

I have been going to this nail salon since this past August and I love when my nails are done by John. I have gone to three different nail techs in the salon when he is not there and have been charged different prices for the same full set or fill in. Today I did not see John in so I just settled with whoever was available. This time I was charged $43 for a full set, when normally with John I am charged at most $35. I decided not to question the increase in price, which thinking back I should have. All the nail techs do wonderful jobs, my nails always look great after getting them done here. My biggest issue is that I never know what I am going to be charged unless I am getting my nails done by John, but I never know when he will or will not be in. I only wish all the nail techs were on the same page on what to charge for each service, rather than making up a price. read more

I honestly do not understand the negative comments written about Perfection. I have been going to this salon for a year for acrylic nails and I have yet to have a bad experience. I have had one occasion where my nail chipped after 4 days, I went back there and they gave me 0 issues. The entire staff, especially the owner Ha ensure that they give you the best quality products and give you exactly what you ask for. Okay soo... Update... I was planning to go in for a fill, didn't end up going. Ended up jut using acetone to try to take them off since they grew to long.. OMG when I tried using acetone they wouldn't even come off ripped my nail bed apart. My real nails look so ugly. even one or two nail beds that did survive, becuase of removing them with acetone, you can see how much they filed my nail bed, no wonder it hurt after they were done... seriously, doing my own nails from now on. and maybe taking a break for now. read more
