Instead of simply providing it, the staff repeatedly told me for about 10 minutes that it was not possible for me to get my prescription. We went back and forth several times, and it felt like they were refusing to give it to me unless I purchased glasses there. It got to the point where I had to go to another eye doctor the next day and ask them to call Bronx Eye Care directly to request my prescription for me. Only then was I able to get it. I later learned that patients are legally entitled to receive their glasses prescription after an exam, so this situation was extremely frustrating. Overall, I left feeling very disappointed with my experience. It honestly felt like they were trying to pressure me into spending money there instead of respecting my rights as a patient. As a younger patient, I also felt like they assumed I wouldn't know any better, which made the experience even more upsetting. I hope they improve their practices so other patients don't have to go through the same situation.

My family and I have been coming to her for many years, and every single visit reaffirms why we continue to trust her with all of our eye care needs. She is incredibly caring, patient, helpful, and remarkably knowledgeable. It's rare to find someone who consistently goes above and beyond for their patients, but Dr. Lomonaco does just that. Her staff is equally fantastic--friendly, professional, and always a pleasure to interact with. Even after moving out of the area, we happily make the drive (sometimes over an hour) just to see her. That's how much we value the quality of care she provides. The office is clean, well-maintained, and has enough space for smaller families to feel comfortable during visits. They also offer a great selection of glasses and frames, which makes the process convenient and enjoyable. While parking can occasionally be a challenge (it is The Bronx, after all), it's a small price to pay for such outstanding service. I had a disappointing experience at Eye Care Unlimited on Crosby Avenue in the Bronx…read more I ordered polarized sunglasses with dark gray lenses, but when I picked them up, the lenses were not what I ordered. They appeared brown instead of dark gray, and the left lens was noticeably blurry. When I brought this to the clerk's attention, I was told to wear the glasses for two weeks to "get used to them." I explained that I wasn't comfortable doing that because the left lens was blurry and requested that the lenses be remade. Instead of addressing my concerns, the clerk insisted that I see the doctor again to review my prescription, even though I had my eye exam only 10 days earlier. I declined because I didn't believe another exam was necessary. The clerk then became rude and told me he was going to make a note on my account that I "refused to see the doctor." He also warned me that I would not be allowed to have the lenses changed again. I found this response unprofessional and felt that I was being pressured rather than helped. To the store's credit, the issue with the glasses was eventually resolved. The replacement lenses were the correct dark gray color, and the left lens was no longer blurry. However, I told the clerk that I felt he owed me an apology for the way he had treated me during the process. He refused to apologize. While I appreciate that the glasses were ultimately corrected, the poor customer service and lack of professionalism made what should have been a simple warranty correction into a frustrating experience. I hope management takes customer concerns more seriously and treats future customers with greater courtesy and respect.

I wanted for the doctor for almost 30 minutes which wasn't acceptable. During my exam multiple staff members came in to ask the doctor questions and to just talk. This light from the hall and their constant interruptions was extremely distracting. The doctor was okay, but came off very dry. I won't be returning.
