I initially hoped to remain on friendly terms with Perfect Press because I have considered using them for my next business printing project, but seeing how awful of an experience I've had, I had no choice but to make this public post and warn others about the level of customer service they can expect to receive. You can cross your fingers and hope nothing goes wrong so you don't have to singlehandedly fight the army of a whole staff team. But if something needs to get fixed, don't expect to get an easy solution from anyone working there. ------- Really wish I had better things to say about this business like everyone else. Having worked in the wedding industry myself for years, I have to say that this is been one of the most unpleasant vendors I've had to dealt with. I came to Perfect Press with high hopes. I've seen their booths and samples at a wedding show and the work seemed solid. I went ahead and scheduled some appointments with them, worked on invitation designs, and got samples before the final production. All went well up to this point and the designer Jennifer was patient with my requests throughout. The real issue came when our final batch of invitation got printed, when I immediately noticed that there are speckles within the gold foils on one side of the invitation. They are very obviously flawed when held against the light, which is how gold foiled elements will be viewed by most people. I immediately brought it to the front staff's attention and hoping it will be an easy fix, but to my surprise everyone was EXTREMELY defensive about how the gold foil is supposed to look like this. I was shocked and mentioned that in the sample I first received before approving the final printing, the gold foil did NOT look like this. They went on to argue that there are always factors such as temperature, humidity etc. that will affect the final outcome but this is how they expected the gold foil to turn out. Also they stressed on the fact that because I didn't pay for the more expensive foil option, this is what i get. Mind you that I paid $650 for a total of 50 invites (one sheet only, no additional inserts), so while we didn't go for the fanciest option, we did not skimp out either. In addition, if this is what *cheap foil* is supposed to look like, why did it NOT show this way in the sample but ONLY in the final mass-produced batch? I thought the whole point of having a sample is so I know EXACTLY what I will be getting. They ended up directing me to the owner of Perfect Press, Mel, who made me understand the defensive nature of the whole staff team. Being a small business owner myself, I see Mel as the epitome of what a business owner should NOT be like when the customer has a legit concern. She kept repeating, in a very self-righteous tone, that everything is completely normal and implying that I was just being paranoid about "small" flaws that are well within the tolerable range, and their team did nothing wrong. In the mean time, she was reviewing the invitation one by one and holding them against the window light, slowly realizing that there are some obvious issues with the gold foil as she pulled out the defective pieces. However, she still refused to directly acknowledge my concerns, and repeatedly told me that she cannot guarantee this will not happen again even with a new batch. While she agreed to re-do some of the pieces, she never once said "sorry" or expressed any notion of apology. The entire time, I felt like an idiot who has to stand in front of the whole print shop against a team of professionals who would not admit their mistakes, and even when they realized their obvious oversight, there is no form of apology whatsoever for what I had to go through, as if I am just another picky, annoying bride who they wish to never deal with again. It is one of the most awful customer experience I've had to go through in the recent years. I am going to let the pictures speak for itself. Despite the fact that they ended up re-printing 1/3 of the invitation, there were still many more flawed pieces that they didn't want to re-do and I ended up only sending out about 35 invitations because the rest are simply unusable. I am extremely disappointed that this is the kind of quality my wedding invitations have turned out to be, despite the hefty price tag. Went here to get some business cards made on the recommendation of my father who's been getting his cards made by these guys for years. When it comes to simple, no frills cards, they guys are great. And quick enough. I think the only reason I had some disappointment is because, admittedly, the cards that I wanted made were a little more complicated. They really shouldn't have been though. BUT, the extra challenge I gave these guys seemed to have kind of threw them for a loop. I wanted a heavier card stock, with more of a satin/silk finish to them. Just makes for a higher quality business card overall. The cards I got back look great - just not quite the card stock and finish I had hoped for. But they'll do for now. Customer service was great. I was kept updated of any changes in price or order status through email - which I really appreciated. Took about a week for the cards to be made. And the prices were good. If your biz cards are pretty straightforward - good shop to go to. Nice folks here. And the price is right. read more

Worked with Heather and she was great! I bought my wedding invitations online from eBay and they were great but I needed a new insert color. I called first and was quoted WAY less than another place I called that was in Burien. Totally worth the drive to Bellevue instead! Most of planning and stuff was via email which was fine! I was given the proofs quickly and they came out AMAZEBALLS! Since it was so cheap, I let them mount the inserts as well, and also do my envelopes and RSVP cards too! They did a very good job with our save-the-dates (STD!), and it was all okay until they double-booked my next appointment and had me waiting 45 minutes, then felt hurried during our meeting. My fiance and I ultimately decided to go with a different vendor for the invitations, but they were indeed very flexible for the STD and we were happy with that product. I've used Perfect Press for a lot of things. And they are simply... perfect. It's a small print shop with all the machines needed to get your printing needs done. You can always reach them by phone when need be. I love going to their shop and seeing things done too. Not only were they by far the cheapest, they provided the most service. Other places did not even want to cut placecards for me. Given that I had ~115 placecards, I definitely did not want to cut them all myself. Perfect Press didn't even make a fuss about it. OMG! I found Merchants through the Seattle Wedding Expo and I have to say UNBELIEVABLE experience. My invitations are seriously thee most beautiful invites I've ever seen. I basically had them custom made. The price, and quality is far better then Papyrus and other competitors who overcharge. I worked with Meena and Jennifer! They were absolutely amazing! They worked out every detail, helped me with the literature, and made the invitations so great. I had great service, great online communication, and I can't say anything more but how wonderful they are. Meena (salesperson) was so considerate of my budget and the quality I wanted. She worked on providing me options so that I could have just what I wanted. I am having a destination wedding and had to add a lot of content for the invitation. She was creative, incredibly easy to work with and I will recommend her to every bride! I am tempted to put my invitation up for all to see! Jennifer was SO patient with me. I called/emailed her at least a dozen times and she went through every effort to make it perfect. I also felt they had the most options on invitations in general. Creative, personable options. No matter what your budget is...Merchant's is very flexible. They will work with you to give you exactly what you're looking for, if not better! Mohamed is the owner and actually takes the time to sit down with you and figure out what you're looking for. He has high end clients as well as low end, but you'd never tell the difference. I have a background in photography and design, so I decided to design and create my wedding invitations from scratch. I was referred to Perfect Press by the ladies at Paperzone. I liked that it was near where I live, and easy to get to. I brought in my own paper and a preliminary mockup of what I wanted. Since my resolution was too low (they need to be 300 dpi, if you're planning on creating a design), i redid them in the right resolution. I dropped the invites off (invitation page, info sheet and RSVPs, 85 of each) on Friday at 2pm. I had a phone call by Monday at 3pm that they were done. The price was great, and they cut everything out for me, which saved me a lot of time. I worked with both Don and Alysia, and both were fantastic. Since I brought in my own paper and design, I cannot attest to their paper supply nor their design skills, but as printers, they were great. Plus, I prefer to support small, local businesses, as opposed to large chains. read more

The best part is that they are dependable, and when its a job they can't tackle, they let me know right away, or give me a referral to their business counterparts. Very disappointed in my invitations. We had to correct them several times on formal, proper spelling and grammar. The envelope liners were put in poorly and were not all the way glued down and properly fitted. The extra printed envelopes did not match the number of extra invitations. They misspelled the word "daughter" and we did not catch the mistake until our invitations had already gone out! We were so embarrassed. Their attention to detail was awful. My fiancé and I called to see what they could do about the error and the owner could not have been more rude on the phone. After paying $1,300 for our invitations the best she was willing to offer was $98.00 back to us. She was unapologetic and did not take any responsibility for the error. When we received the check in the mail, our names were spelled incorrectly. We called to request a new check and we just received it and our names were spelled incorrectly.... AGAIN! Needless to say, we are so disappointed and will not be doing business with Perfect Press in the future. read more

I went to Perfect Press with a project. I asked them exactly what they needed to complete my project, then spent many hours creating files to their specifications. I brought it in for printing, and first they were late in starting. (told me it would be done by tuesday at the latest, called wednesday and they hadn't started). Then, I got a call that the files were too big and they needed an extra $50 an hour to complete my project. This was unacceptable at best, so I picked up my files. I then asked what happened since I had checked with them first and of all things the staff was actually mad at me and quite rude. I spent hours doing the files exactly as they told me to, but evidently they realized later they wanted them done differently, and when I picked up my DVD they were chastising and rude. We supplied the large pictures for the card, and PP scanned them and adjusted for the size of the card we had in mind. the cards turned out great and we were able to go back for an additional order with no problems.
