Shopping in Burien, Washington…read more.. My high school classmate showed me this cute shop. We walked over after having lunch nearby where street parking was free. Paper Delights was a delight! There were many cute things and practical stationery items. I got some bunny greeting cards since I knew that they would fit in my carry-on luggage. They had a great selection. I was in there to find a birthday present for a friend and easily found the perfect book and cute little bday card. They had a lot of the big hitters (fiction and non) but also a large local authors selection and unique picks. Also an adorable children's and YA section! Look in the back for those. Prices were pretty much on par with new books these days, probably between $15-35 for the majority of titles.

Nobody was bothered and I didnt mind since we are all in our own browsing world. Overall, will definitely come back! Was a good stop on Seattle Independent Bookstore Day!

I spent most of my time there looking at the puzzles, but I did wander around the rest of the store and saw lots of table top games, both mainstream and more advanced for serious gamers. There were cards, dice sets, learning toys and science sets. I also saw classic, wooden chess and checkers sets, even game tables. If you're a Lego fan, there is a smaller selection here. And POP fans should probably check out this location for their large selection. What really got me pumped was seeing some of their Nintendo collectibles, items, and themed merchandise. There were mugs, Zelda Master Sword and shield props, and even Nintendo themed board games. I ended up getting two puzzles, a 1,000 piece panorama one ($25) and a smaller 550 piece Zelda puzzle ($10). However, I was extremely tempted by their selections of mystery puzzle games, Ravensburger, Aquarius, and Heye triangular box puzzles (much more expensive, but so cool). They do our 3 part invoices and customers mailers as well. They have a person on staff who helps me with the graphics design since i have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to that. The best part of this all is that they have a personal delivery person. Usually i place my order and the next day an awesome delivery person brings my products. I've found that most printers take weeks to produce and then I have to go pick up or wait for shipping. These guys get er done and deliver! No complaints and I refer them to everyone in my small business group! Good job!

i saw on the west seattle blog a couple months back that a…read morenew ups store would soon be opening in westwood village and knew this was much needed in our peninsular community since the former one in jefferson square had closed. it was perfect timing for me to visit late this afternoon because i was in need of passport photos for passport renewal and i always like to have spare photos handy for online visa applications. i'm not sure if the person helping me was the owner but she was patient and efficient in taking my photos, taking payment and then handing them to me. she offered that she could also send them to me in digital form which i appreciated; less than an hour later .jpg and .png files of my photos were in my inbox. i did inquire why the price today was higher than what i had paid at another ups store for passport photos a couple of months back and was told each are independently operated so prices for different items/services can vary. i didn't utilize any shopping services so cannot comment on that aspect of the business but i will say the store was clean, there were three people total working while i was there and the mood was friendly and professional. i'd return for any services they offer at this specific location! if today's visit was any indication, we may have a great new resource at our disposal, west seattleites!

They did such a wonderful job that when it came time for my partner to propose he went in and they helped him design my dream ring. Together we then went back once more to pick out our weddings bands and I was able to find a custom piece and my fiancé found the perfect ring which they made extra special by inlaying part of his grandfather's wedding band into it. The co-founders/co-owners have spent years honing their individual crafts. Bobbie Yanoupeth is a master of all things hair, while Michael Sing produces stunning floral displays that leave you in awe. Together, they are BAHTOH - a Laotian word meaning 'wow'. According to Bobbie, "it's used as an exclamation to convey fierceness." (On the BAHTOH website, you can purchase a cute canvas bag with the definition of the word.) Personally, I book my appointments with Bobbie and enjoy his work and company. He is funny and outgoing, which makes time pass by quickly when I spend several hours in the shop. The salon interior is stylish and artistic.
