To give you a small taste: our guest list fluctuated so much that she spent hours reworking the schematics just to fit everyone in the reception space I had envisioned. Then we changed that layout again about a month ish before the wedding. I also completely changed the ceremony site on her two weeks before the big day. We were extremely late deciding on catering. And on top of all of this, I had a medical emergency that lasted two hours on the wedding day. It probably sounds like I was a bridezilla, but not once did she hesitate to be kind, gentle, and compassionate. She was so communicative and generous with her time, always answering messages promptly even when I would flood her phone with every intrusive thought or idea at the most ridiculous times of day. She didn't just take on the role of coordinator. She was my sounding board, my designer, my counselor when I needed to rant, my project manager, all the things, all at once. She even designed all of our stationery and day-of signage. Like, how? How can one person do it all?!?! We are not Washington natives and our wedding is in Washington so that presented us a unique set of challenges in planning our wedding. We felt compelled to hire a coordinator that is local, and has experience with the venue we chose which is why Krisanna was our prime option. Planning: We officially started working with Krisanna about 3 months out of the wedding date if memory serves. She kept us organized and curated a list of all our vendors with contacts and created a wedding timeline with details for us. As we approached the wedding date we were able to slowly take our foot off the pedal and allow her to drive for us which was helpful. Overtime the she was almost 100% in charge of dealing with the vendors and only came to us with important decisions. She's well versed with our venues guidelines and layout, so she would intentionally call out pitfalls that we can easily avoid due to the institutional knowledge that she has which we really appreciated. She's responsive over text and emails when we has questions or thoughts we wanted to communicate to her. Execution: Fast forward to the day of the wedding, we literally didn't keep our phones on us at all since she's the main point of contact for the day. We were able to enjoy the day without having to bear any logistical burden knowing that she's around. Overall: 100% you need to hire Krisanna for your wedding. She'll alleviate so much burden the day of, so you can enjoy your special day without worrying about the logistics.

I originally met Adina based on a suggestion from my wedding planner…read more When we originally met I was very happy with Adina and she presented me with many different options. So many in fact that I was overwhelmed when I left. She followed up our meeting with an email explaining the different ideas we had discussed, but I could not remember all of the styles, so I asked for another meeting so that we could cut down on the selections and I could remember what it was that we had discussed and I could select a specific style. Adina was getting ready to go to New York to do a show and present some of her new line at the show. We met and I was able to get the selection down to two styles and she said that once the artwork (I was to provide based on our theme) she would present to inkjet versions for me to decide which would be the final one to print. Her contract states that she will only do a max of X revisions. I was hesitant to sign at that point, but Adina assured me that she never really followed that and she wanted to make sure that we were both happy with the final product. So, I signed the contract at which time she also stated that she would be sending me a questionnaire to complete to track our conversations and that there would be some overlap. All throughout this process she was aware that this was for a same sex couple. Her questionnaire arrived, but it was all addressed to the bride throughout the form. I started to fill it out, but as I went through it, all that was presented were questions for the bride to answer and then information regarding the groom. I finally refused to complete the form and sent an email back to Adina explaining how I felt regarding the form. To Adina's credit, she was very apologetic and said that we could meet and discuss it. I was not sure what we would discuss, but I accepted the apology and tired to move forward. When we did get the mockups of the invites, we selected the format and the style of font that we wanted to use. This took it from about 5 or so possible choices to one. It was then that we started to run into problems. We requested some word changes and some spacing changes. We were completing the fourth such change, basically clearing up some of the issues that I thought should have been fixed automatically when the word changes were made at which point she said any additional changes would be charged, which were in direct conflict of what she had said when I hesitated to sign the contract. I re-read the contract and reiterated our conversation at which point she said that she would still charge for additional changes. Luckily for us, this round cleared all of the issues with what she had done. We left without having her finish the job and found someone who was much better to work with and the final version was worth the extra money that we had to pay. We actually had to bring our wedding planner in to finish things off with Adina as well. Our wedding planner was not able to determine what the problem had been either.

Just had a bizarre experience here after being a customer here for years. I started at the Tacoma…read morelocation looking for stretcher bars by the master series in 24, 36, 30, and 40s. Tacoma was out but the sweet sales associates offered to order or call Seattle. I overheard them on the phone confirming various sizes. So I thanked them & drove up to Seattle. I noticed the Seattle location didn't have the sizes I was told, I asked the guy in charge of frames/ stretchers and he claimed I asked for one size then showed me a different brand from what was confirmed over the phone, a heavy duty variety. When I expressed frustration of being told the wrong thing, he walked off pouting, didn't offer to order any for me like Tacoma did. Not wanting to leave empty handed I grabbed a couple off sizes so I can work. On my way to check out, I informed my friend of what just occured and placed the stretchers at the register. The clerk said "You need to check out over there, Sir." My flabbers were gasted! My monocle popped out! I said "Sir? I'm not a sir!". This was strange and shocking to me. So I went to the proper clerk saying "They just called me Sir. What part of me gives man? I've never been called a man." So yeah I'm mad confused as to why my petite, adorable self in pink & lilac got called a man by someone who would not appreciate being misgendered themselves.... On Pride weekend of all times. And why wasn't I offered to have the supplies ordered for me like in Tacoma? Basically I received a wild goose chase, a bad attitude, lied to about what I overheard confirmed on the phone, and casually misgendered by Seattle staff. Very sad since I prefer supporting local. The Tacoma shop is a vibe with kind, helpful staff. I'll stick with them and Jerry's Art a Rama online. Apparently several reviews report bad behavior from staff over the past year or so. Don't need the funky ahh attitude when I just wanna create.

It has the best selection and very competitive prices without complicated coupons and sales. We are creatures of habit, with my wife using JoAnn's Fabric for her sewing crafting needs because that's where her family shopped while she was young. Later Michael's became the place as they expanded and opened new stores in our area, and her other mom friends recommended. Now Hobby Lobby seems to be the place as we convert to an empty nest and help my newlywed daughter decorate her new place. This location isn't as new as the ones we have been going to in California, and wasn't nearly as well staffed. In our case, we were able to find everything on our own. I did learn that items marked as 'Your Price' (which is a large portion of the store) is the final low price, no other discounts apply. The vast majority of product are inhouse brands, with the price preprinted (which saves labor on pricing tasks). The only hiccup was that nobody was actively manning the registers when there were no customers, and could only scale to one register even with many customers waiting. But as I've recognized, personalized customer interaction is more important than speed and efficiency at craft stores, and it's obviously working for them.
