Signing up required entering my address, gender, health insurance carrier, AND a credit card
Angieee N.

Summary: had to play phone tag and call/leave voicemails back and forth, employees had no idea what was going on, I disappeared/was removed from the waitlist with no warning or explanation, and I never heard back from them. ***Credit card submission is required for even signing up for class waitlists. This review only reflects my personal experience as management and procedures may have changed since the beginning of 2023*** Signed up for the pottery class' waitlist back in October and received a call a month-two months after, that a spot opened up and I was the next person in line on the waitlist. I called and left a message a day or two later as no one picked up, received a voicemail a few days after that telling me to call back, and so I called back that evening only for a different employee to answer and tell me that I was not on the waitlist and the employee who left me a voicemail was the manager who was out of office. He went to check with his coworker, I heard giggling for a few minutes, and then he came back to tell me to call again in a week when the manager was in before hanging up on me. Called back and left a message a week later, then another, but I never received a call back or email notification. It's been months and I never received an answer as to how I disappeared from/why I was removed from the waitlist. (I'm assuming they gave my spot up already to someone else, but a heads up would've been nice) My main reason of concern though aside from being ghosted, is that they required me to put down a credit card's information JUST to get on the waitlist. I canceled the card a few weeks later after checking that they did not still charge me, so my advice for others when asked to input card info to reserve anything/service is to use a debit card, lock that card, or use one you're not worried about freezing/canceling. Pros: * local community studio vibes Cons: * website is hard to navigate/poorly designed and glitchy * just to join a class waitlist you have to submit: your address, gender, insurance carrier, AND credit card info (wth???) * poor communication on staff's part * staff also seemed confused or to not know what was going on; conflicting information was being passed around to no resolution

My child just completed their first session of classes at Redmond Art Works and we couldn't be more pleased. It is such a cool, creative environment. The teachers are skilled, and the price is quite reasonable for the quality of the instruction and space. We're very excited for our kid to try new art forms.

Ever wanted to learn how to throw clay on a wheel? Or sculpt? Or wanted to try something new and artsy? Well, Redmond Art Works is a great place to start! It's a pretty big studio tucked away in Redmond and it's close to the Redmond Town Center. I took my boyfriend here for valentine's day and he loved it! He has some background with sculpting clay so I figured he'd enjoy the class. The owner taught us how to throw clay and guided us every step of the way. She was so patient with us! We also learned how to sculpt a rose! We were free to sculpt anything we wanted though. It was definitely a fun class and my boyfriend and I can't wait to go back! They have open studio hours!

The staff was friendly and helped us understand the process of picking out a piece and painting it. There are also instructions on the wall on the steps you need to take to decorate your piece and there are labels everywhere to make sure you know what you're doing. When you first walk in, you pick a piece of pottery out to decorate/paint. There are a ton of items to select from including bowls, mugs figurines, and plates. I picked a little bowl to paint and pulled up my Pinterest board for inspiration. I went to go pick out my colors and they all had swatches on them with 1-3 coats of paint to show you how it looks when fired. They also have precision tip paint bottles (in the same selection as the regular paint) for little details and stamps. They provide you with assortment of paint brushes, decorated pieces for inspiration and different foam applicators for ombre looks. They also give you ceramic palettes and a water mug to clean off your paintbrushes. After you're done with decorating, you clean up your items and put them in the correct compartments for the staff to wash. Then you pay and they tell you when you can pick it up (usually within a week). There was only one staff member when we were there, but she was super helpful and kind. As we left around 6 PM on Friday, it got very busy.

It's located in a very cute portable surrounded by other businesses, it reminds me of a little village. She painted me a planter pot and painted half of it in two colors so that I can switch the sides, so creative. We were there for almost 3.5 hrs, never felt rushed or anything like that. When you arrive, the staff will walk you through with the process and will ask that you pick out the pieces that you would like to paint. Then, when you're done, they will show you the process and off to painting you go! It takes about 2 weeks to get the pieces back, so if you're in a hurry, you might want to plan accordingly. They do not charge for studio fees like other places, the price is already incorporated into the pieces and I appreciate that. I would totally recommend this place.

The signage can be a little confusing sometimes, but the employees are super helpful and kind with answering questions. The only down side is that during my most recent trip I was told I needed to wait two weeks for my piece to be fired. In the past and at other places I've only ever had to wait a week, but I love supporting a local place and I love that they have so much business.

Such a fun place to come for an activity!…read more We went early on Saturday which I highly recommend! If you walk in after 11 am, you most likely will be looking at a long wait. However, it's worth it IMO! Weekends are busy and there's generally a wait. However, I opted to paint outside and got seated right away. They have a great selection of items to paint. I picked two jars. They have a variety of supplies that allowed me to bring my vision to life! The number of colors they have to select from is vast too. They have a wide range of brushes and tools, and I appreciated their two sizes of paint pen detail bottles--perfect for writing! Nicky was so helpful and accommodating. He reviewed how the pair a work and the process thoroughly but succinctly. He brought my chosen pieces out to the table since I had my dog with me. It is dog friendly outside! Not sure about inside. Check out was pretty seamless, and Erica did a great job with my checkout! The prices for the pieces are comparable to ones I saw at another similar establishment, which was good to see. If you're looking for a fun activity, check out Paint the Town!
