I live in Oakland, CA, and being able to support a local small business who also delivers is just fantastic during these shelter-in-place times. The basket assortment is just fantastic, and the online ordering is very easy. This place is a total gem, and we are very happy to support them!

I called several nearby florist shops but all had exorbitantly high prices for floral delivery. To my delight I found the Accents et cetera websit and was able to order a beautiful bouquet of brightly colored tulips ($12) and a pretty gold-wrapped package of chocolate-caramel cookies ($11,) with delivery the very next day, for under $35. Now, don't get me wrong, I know that's not cheap but compared to other companies who wanted $35 and much more for just one flower plus delivery fees, I thought it was a bargain. And her reaction when they were delivered (via a no-contact method) was priceless. In these times when so many people are sad, lonely, frustrated, and generally down in the dumps this was an easy way to bring some instant and long-lasting happiness. I'll bet you know someone who could use this same bit of cheer! And even better? The owner is donating part of her profits to the local food bank to help her Sammamish neighbors. I love everything about this company and will surely be a return customer.

So, for his memorial, my hubs and I went to order two fresh orchid leis for his mom and his widow. It was easy as pie. One of the friendly staff members showed us all the different leis they had in their refrigerator. We chose the two we wanted and gave them the date we would pick up (they recommended the day before the memorial). We paid at the time of ordering. The day we picked up, I just gave them my name and they brought the leis out in plastic takeout boxes for me. I had my receipt just in case, but I didn't need it. The leis were beautiful. Paper Fling was JUST what I was looking for!…read more When looking for designs for my wedding invitations I spent months looking for ideas online first but I was still unsure. I really wanted to be able to feel the quality of the paper and see the printed ink before spending hundreds of dollars. I first went to Paper Source in Bellevue. Their store was beautiful, but when I asked for help with invitations they pointed at a huge stack of gigantic books full of invitations. Not quite the help I was looking for. After about 15 minutes of being overwhelmed and trying to find a place to set this 10 pound book of paper, we left. I ended up going to Paper Fling with my fiance and one of my bridesmaids. Even though we had no appointment, Ruth immediately sat us down and started working with us. I told her what I wanted and she brought out the perfect book of examples. I found what I was looking for in less then five minutes. Ruth was great to work with and she helped us pick font styles, wording, etc. My proofs were emailed in PDF format to me within a week, and my invitations arrived at the store two weeks after that. Smooth, efficient service with a smile! I definitely recommend buying your invitations from a wonderful store like this as opposed to just buying them online! There is definitely a price, though. For 75 invitations with folds, pockets, and heavy paper it ran us about $600. But being totally satisfied with the end product? Priceless!
