I ordered on Thursday for funeral Sunday. They were supposed to call for address, etc. on Friday morning. Nothing. By Friday afternoon I panicked and ordered from another caterer. I was looking for something kosher for my client and stumbled on this spot. I called in and the man at first seemed upset about something but as we spoke he got more pleasant. I told him what I was looking for and he said he would have everything set for me at my budget for the next day. When I arrived I parked on the street. I walked in and told one man I was picking up. The man that took my order came to ring me up at the price he told me and thanked me. I left and dropped off the meal and ate mine after. I got the falafel platter and it was tasty and filling. Felafel is excellent. The "pita" felafel looks expensive but you actually get a whole plate of high quality on the side - you can pick a few of the 6-8 options- which makes the meal. Seating in minimal, just a bar against a wall. But if I want to get good meal and be in and out in 20 minutes this works well. read more

One of the greatest restaurants I've ever been to. We were having a class reunion, and we used the party room. Everyone had a blast and the food was amazing. A big variety of middle eastern delicacies that had everyone very impressed. The service was over the top. It is a friendly family owned restaurant and the owner was so kind and accommodating to all of our requests. He gave us plenty of additional foods and salads. He was also able to plug in my iPod with a playlist we had prepared. I ordered a falafel in pita with hummus and tahini sauce. I didn't get ANY tahini sauce, and the hummus (at least I think it was) appeared to be a bit old. The falafel was soft all around. I prefer firm on the outside and soft on the inside. The pita was anything but perfect as it tasted more like a soft pastry than anything that resembles true pita. I was there once prior to this experience and it was better. I suppose I'll give them a third chance to break the tie. read more

This was my first visit to Perfect Pita. It was a Wednesday at noon. Many items on the menu were not available since lamb shawarma was the only meat available. They have paper menus available but the menu on the wall can use more lighting. I ordered a shawarma pita which came with a salad with items from the salad bar. When I first walked in, the owner (I'm assuming) was cursing at his son (i'm hoping) who must have been about 10 years old working as a waiter/ bus-boy. I asked if they had gyros, they said yes except with chicken. They told me to take a side dish from the salad bar. The dish I recieved was chicken in a peanuty like sauce wrapped in a pita.... no lettuce, no tomato, just chicken and some mystery sauce. It was good, but not at all what i ordered. I just went there for lunch and NEEDED to post ASAP! What an awful establishment! First of all, when you first walk it, there is no decor at all. It looks like a empty space that is in the middle of moving out. Their glass display was completely bare with the exception of a few half empty plates. Horrible service. No one greets us when we walk in or direct us to order or take a seat. A man standing behind the counter was just staring at us. Finally, someone from the back room comes out and asks us what we would like to order. He suggests their special (chicken shawarma) and we agree to it. The first man cooked it up right away and pulled out pita bread from a pita bag from Shop-Rite (ZERO authenticity). He hands us the food on paper plates like if we were at a picnic. The pita was filled with a generous amount of meat and sauce. I was excited to try and thought "Well, maybe it's just a hole in the wall but with amazing food!" WRONG for having so much meat the sandwich had little to no flavor! It had chunks of fat and didn't taste well at all! To be completely honest, my first bite reminded me of when my dog jumps up and slobbers on me! Well, I had 2 more bites after that and gave up. Best falafel I've had! I love that the pita bread comes from Jerusalem! Their pita is much thicker than most and therefore can withstand the hummus and tahini and other wet sides that are key to a great falafel. As a Vegan I love that the meat items are prepared separate due to the business being kosher. The owner is super nice and the staff friendly. I also love that I'm supporting a small business. I'm no longer working in the area but I will definitely be back. The Jerusalem salad is also excellent, a must try! read more

I have only had falafel here but wow, it is truly the best falafel I've ever had. I would eat this every day if I could. Each ball so full of flavor and the pita is fluffy and holds the falafel perfectly. Make sure you get hummus and tahini sauce on it.
