At this point in time, I'm glad that I didn't stop on yelp first before reaching out to Perfect Home Services. Reason being that I had a great experience with Frank (provided quote) as well as Jacob and Tyler who performed the work. If not for the "ValPak" coupon mailer that comes to the house and my wife flipping through them, I would never have thought to call them up. My A/C and Furnace were reaching the end of their life (approx 18-20yrs old). Both did the job, but given our relatively mild winter and the break between seasons, I decided to shop for a deal to see if I could get everything replaced before experiencing a breakdown and needing an emergency service. I had a couple of quotes done from other companies that lasted 20-30 minutes and I felt pretty good about, but when Frank showed up he let me know that his visit would take at least an hour. He explained that he had some questions about the home, what we're looking to accomplish, etc. He also spent the time to measure the home, take notice of the window orientation, duct setup, attic space, furnace location, and all the other little details. Once done he calculated what we would need and provided some basic efficiency options as well as additional upgrades. The quote came out higher compared to one of their competitors and Frank was open with the conversation and helped me to compare the Bryant units they offered to the Lennox from the competitor. He even helped us lock down some affordable financing options with 0% same as cash (the other company didn't). Frank ended up spending until after 7pm at our Thursday night when he could have been home (over an hour away) with his family. Tyler from the installation crew called me the next day to confirm the appointment for Saturday morning and asked if they could come as early as 7am. At 7am on Saturday, I met with Jacob, showed him around the space, and he went to work laying drop cloth to protect the floors and then on getting the old system out. Once Tyler showed up to assist, they both worked hard until about 4:30pm on converting the whole system. The previous homeowner was a "DIY" or always worked to find the cheapest contractor so while performing the install, they handled those "surprises" well and worked to make sure that they could undo anything he did that was incorrect or didn't make sense. Again, so happy that I didn't start on yelp, otherwise I probably wouldn't have given them a call. As this is Day1 with the new system, I will be sure to keep an eye out and take advantage of the warranty on their work should any issues arrive. read more

A/C went out on Mother's day.... called them.... they sent a guy out an d he changed the fuse and charged $128. The Next friday it went out again... called them again.... guy shows up..... only concerned about selling a "membership". Charges us for a part and they membership $597 but says he can't do it until tomorrow morning between 8 & 10.... Next morning he only calls about how he is running late until 1:30pm he shows up.... works on it a few hours- it works and he leaves.... 15 minutes later is stopped working again. I called the dispatch.... they said they would send a tech back.....and to wait for a call. I wait until 8pm and called them over and over.... they apologized all over the place but had no way of contacting anyone. The customer service people are merely there to answer the phone.... that is it.... they cannot contact anyone.... just send emails and cross their fingers they get an answer. I wait by the phone until about 9pm and then called back and they apologized more and said I was first on the list for tomorrow Am.... Tomorrow AM... No calls.... no repair guy....I start calling.... on hold for 15 minutes at a time... finally start getting these poor c customer service guys again..... Every repair guy they have "working" that day is not answering. Probably all curled up in bed all cozy in their air conditioned homes while I am sweating my butt off in an 82 degree house. After about 11 Am I called a different local company- Standley Heating & Cooling out of Romeoville. The guy showed up within a half an hour.... changed the fuse... checked everything.... showed me what the tech from the other day did and didn't do.... the A/C has been running perfectly ever since. What did he charge ? It was under $25.....!!! He then gave me his cell # and told me to call him if anything happens again....... I called Perfect Home again... sat on hold for a long time again.... Once I got a live person I cancelled everything again... all appointments- maintenance memberships everything!!!! NEVER EVER EVER do business with Perfect Home solutions!!! I gave them a bad review years ago when they scammed my parents for a 15K furnce A/c system that broke 6 months after installation and they couldn't be bothered to fix it for a week! They exits solely to rip off senior citizens and the elderly selling their crappy memberships and lying. Oh and by the way..... ALL THEIR REPAIRMEN STOP WRKONG AT 4-ISH ON THE WEEK DAYS and they DO NOT WORK SUNDAYS.... they CLAIM they do... but they do not..... they also don;t answer their customer service representative's messages and I don;t think their dispatch answers either. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau again.... right now it says they have a good rating.... that has got to be some sort of scam they pulled as well.... either that or the better business bureau is a joke. I have also contacted some friends at NBC News here in Chicago and ABC NEWS scam stoppers. They love nailing these heating a/c scam companies! They set up a bunch of service calls and set up hidden cameras all over the place when the repair guys get there!!! I guess both networks have been doing scam investigations on these guys for a while now! Hubby scheduled a service today due to our furnace that PHS installed is not currently working. Appointment was scheduled for 8-10am. We have text and email confirmation. 10:15am rolls around, no tech, no call. We call in again and find out from the rude lady that we are not on the schedule but she can put us on now. No explanation on what happened, we tell her that we have confirmation, she says, I'm not lying, why would I lie and make my job harder. We ask her when will someone be out, how many people are in front of us, she says she doesn't know. I find this very odd since the person at 5am gave my husband a timeframe. I don't expect anyone to show up today and we will have no heat. Being a VIP member gives you very few perks and dealing with a company that takes no pride in itself anymore since being bought out by ABC is not only saddening but disgusting as they obviously put VIP members at the bottom of the scheduling heap due to knowing that they can't charge prime rate for weekend hours. That's why they don't show up or cancel appointments for VIP members. It not hard to figure out. What was once a great deal is now a bullseye for bad business practices. The old PHS was really nice. This new one, run by ABC, not so good. Update!! Well at 5pm, we got a call regarding our appointment. They need to reschedule us to tomorrow, Monday. It's a rolling schedule and they don't have a time. Let's talk about being a VIP. They make no money off of VIP's unless it's upselling something. So that's why we go on the back burner. I hired Perfect Home to replace my furnace and air conditioner. While the installation itself was completed, the company failed to complete the permit process. The permit review was completed, but the process could not move forward because the required permit fee was never paid. Despite multiple attempts by both me and the local building department to contact Perfect Home, the company did not respond or resolve the issue. I eventually had to visit the building department myself, pay the required permit fee out of my own pocket, and arrange for the final inspection so the permit could finally be completed. Homeowners should not have to finish a contractor's permit process or pay fees that should have been handled by the company. This experience caused unnecessary stress, delays, and additional expense. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Perfect Home based on their handling of permits and customer service. read more

Scheduled an appointment for an estimate (which it says on their website is free, but actually is NOT FREE and should have been my first red flag) for the window of 10am-10pm. At 7:30am I get woken up by a text telling me that the agent is on his way. Are you telling me that *I* have to commit to a ridiculous 12 hour service window, and you STILL can't show up during it?? I got on live chat to clear this up, and was told I would need to call the office. Apparently, their live chat agent is ONLY for booking appointments. Guys. My brother recommended this company to me a few years ago when I was having a plumbing issue. PHS was out here several times and the problem was not resolved even though I was a member of their VIP Program at $40 per month. I finally called a former co-worker who was able to fix my running toilet. Fast forward to another issue. When I called I was told that they no longer serve my area. Oh really and I've been paying you $40 per month for the past two years? When were you going to notify me of this? And now you have the nerve to send me mailers? Hard pass. Oh, they did come out for furnace tuneups and told me I needed a new furnace which was true. Then they tried to sell me a furnace for $17K. Um, no. They no longer service the Chicago area, but I am still on their mailing list? Pitiful. I purchased both a new furnace and A/C condenser in 2021 from them. When I tried to make a maintenance appointment in 2022 (required to keep warranty from being voided) they informed me that they would not service what they sold me and installed, because they do not do business in Chicago any longer. In 2025, when I reported a roof leak to my condo association, the roofer informed me that the HVAC installers had not even marked my unit number on the new A/C condenser on the roof of a multi-unit dwelling. He had to guess which one was mine to repair the sealant (also courtesy of Imperfect Home Services). I have had these guys on maintenance contract for seven years now. Home in Lisle IL. Probably stupid of me for not having seen their ratings and reviews - they have 2.7/5.0 on Yelp as of 8/30/24. For the second time now, their incompetent tech came for a routine check and maintenance and broke our HVAC system. After breaking the system and taking it apart, they defraud us by: 1. Telling us that the system was already broken 2. Providing a a fresh quote to fix a system that was already working perfectly fine. 3. Not willing to put the system back together citing risks and regulations. 4. Asking to schedule the repair and restoration as per their schedule a few days later. Above is inspite of the fact that our entire HVAC system was installed by them four years ago (attached) and maintained by them for through a monthly maintenance contract. Now we will have to move in to a hotel for the long weekend to accommodate our 85 year old mother (and in-law) through the summer weekend. If I could give a zero I would. I am writing this review with serious concerns about the charges incurred by my 78-year-old mother for a new water heater installation by Perfect Home Services. The final bill of $4,000 for a standard water heater replacement is, in my opinion, an appalling example of predatory pricing that takes advantage of a senior citizen. She felt that she needed to replace this because the water didn't get very hot and had family coming in for a wedding which is why she didn't shop around, which we will NEVER use this company again! I wish all the reviews I just read were seen before so I could warn her. The national and local average cost for a typical tank-style water heater replacement, including the unit and labor, generally falls between $1,200 and $3,000, with many basic jobs averaging around $1,500. There were no complex structural changes, conversions to a different system (like tankless), or relocation involved that would justify this exorbitant price. When I spoke with a rep he said they have premium prices based on a number of factors, one being available 24/7. Come to find out after speaking with my mother again she said well that isn't 100% true, because they cancelled her appointment and rescheduled 4 days later! I didn't know this when I spoke to a rep. I was also told by two different customer service reps that only the tech has the book to see pricing and one guy told me it is then approved by management. Service Date: 7/10/25 The electrician was very professional and courteous, and the work was done well. However, the cost was significantly higher than expected: $1,300 just to replace three outlets with GCFIs and change one fuse in the panel. I needed the work completed quickly for a home inspection, so I didn't have the flexibility to shop around. One thing that stood out was that they arrived, assessed the job, took pictures, and then left to purchase the materials--even though I had provided the details of the work ahead of time. I called to schedule an appointment as they are 1 of 2 companies in the Chicago area where I can order my specialty filters from (per the filter company). I told them exactly what filters I needed and they told me I had to schedule an appointment to order the filters. Technician came out and he didn't bring any filters. He checked their facility and they didn't have any so he said he would order. Weeks went by and no call was received to have them delivered. They never ordered them. Called first time and never heard back. Called again and this time someone said they would place the order. Heard nothing back. Called over a week later and they told me they were on order. Called again today - over a week since my last call. Supervisor that is working on it has been out sick all week so someone else is supposed to call me back with an update. Terrible experience with this company and a little shady. Two technicians to fix A/C came out, one pulled a piece of paper out of the blower and claimed it was fixed (A/C still didn't work). The second spent two hours on A/C unit and main furnace and stated we needed a new compressor at $3,000 OR buy a new A/C unit (recommended), which would be twice as much. The A/C unit was a seven year old Bryant, which should NOT lose its compressor that soon. TWO second opinions, one said we should get the compressor warrantied through Bryant, and the second came out and fixed the A/C for $400. The service that fixed the A/C stated that the two technicians that diagnosed the compressor were "idiots". My tankless water heater stopped giving hot water. I called the number on my tank and got a different company than who installed it. They sent out a plumber who seemed uncertain in his assessment. I was told that the first visit was $60 for the diagnosis. When the tech got to my home, it was $629, because it was a tankless water heater. He initially flushed it and cleaned one vent. It worked briefly. I had the tech return. He finally said that I needed a new sensor and circulation pump. He said that he would call me the next day to update me on the plan for repair. Needless to say, he didn't. Basically, the plumbers throw the office staff to the dogs and let them deal with customer's concerns. I don't think those girls get paid enough. The quote I got was $3000, and eventually, one of the office staff let me know that it would be one week to get the part and then schedule the repair. 1 week without hot water. Through yelp, I found another plumbing service that came out a few hours after I called. The tech was professional, clearly understood the problem and was trained by the company who made my water heater. He explained that until my sensor was changed, he couldn't evaluate the circulation pump to see if there was a problem with that, but that the likelihood of needing one was low. The estimate I got was 1/3 of the estimate from perfect Home. The service contract he offered was 1/4 the cost of one with Perfect Home read more

We had our new unit installed in 2022 with our furnace. First year it worked great. 2022 spring into summer the ac was blowing warm air. Called a tech out and he found a leak in the evaporator coil. Changed the evaporator coil and ""fixed"" leak. 2023 summer, same issue changed the lines. 2024 same issue and fixed the leak. 2025 blowing warm air, tech said another possible leak by the compressor. I'm fed up now... I want a new unit, and I want a fix. I have a family to watch and this is horrible. read more

This company bought our prior company for Heat and AC and just destroyed the quality. I'll start with how often they have cancelled our appointments, which is every time, sometimes more than once. While your technician is here he will find at least 4 problems for you to choose from to get fixed. If you have another technician follow up, he will find a couple other problems. On their most recent visit we we offered up to 3,800 in repairs and decided we could handle about 1,100. On the follow up visit 4 days later our boiler started leaking when it was turned on and we were told we needed a new boiler. This was after a new $500 part was installed. Don't call this company. We had perfect Home Services help us with a new furnace in February of 2022. Besides providing us with a really high quote they were always late in arriving. We finally settled on a reasonable quote and set a time for the install which was very important as it was February in Chicago. They were late in arriving which forced us to alter our schedules as we both work. The Furnace went in and functions fine. Every single time we have had regular maintenance servicing done we have worked with their schedule but every time they have been late and we have had to take additional time off work. If you schedule in the morning you might as well take the entire day off as they have never been on time. If you schedule in the afternoon then plan to have someone show up eventually at 6 or 7pm. I've never posted a negative review before, but this is an instance when I truly feel something needs to be said. I recently contacted Perfect Home Services after purchasing our first home. The house is equipped with a tankless water heater system. I didn't know too much about it, but I did know they needed maintenance; especially with hard water. Upon arrival, the plumber was very polite; I'll give him that, but that's about it. After just a few minutes, it was very apparent that this was a sales pitch instead of a diagnosis. After placing his hand on my tankless water heater, he confidently came to the conclusion that the unit required replacement. A few moments later, I had an estimate for $7,847 to replace the unit and install a product called Flow Tech. Just to put that into perspective, the tankless water heater I currently have installed goes for about $1,500 new; what's the labor cost here? And this Flow Tech? It's a scam. They claim it acts almost like a water softener; it's cables wrapped around a pipe, look it up. If this product was truly this revolutionary, it would put water softeners out of production. Not to mention, you can't find a price on this product because it can only be installed by a "licensed professional". As for the cleaning service I initially asked for? They wanted over $1,000. I seriously doubt the legitimacy of most of these reviews and so should you. Stay away, they're thieves. It's a shame how dishonest companies can be. They came to convert hot and cold water lines from a tub configuration to a shower only configuration..Remove water lines that feed the tub...When new water fixtures were installed..I could hear water dripping in the walls.. Lucky for me ...I had access to plumbing from the other wall and did not need tear down the new tile . After cutting out a piece of drywall.. we could see they never soldered/capped one of the copper lines.. I found the copper cap inside the drywalls..The company came out today to inspect their work. They are claiming because I soldered the copper pipe that they can't tell if they are responsible !! WTF?? I Left the drywall open for them them to inspect their work... I had my furnace and A/C installed almost 3 years ago by PHS. I have been a VIP member since day 1. Tonight I go to use the hot water and we have none. Since I'm a vip member I called to set up an appointment to have them come fix it or replace the unit. I was informed they no longer service my area and she cannot help me. I have been charged every month for a membership that they will not honor. After reading other reviews lots of other customers are experiencing the same issue. I have a 10 year warranty on the furnace and ac unit. What am I to do if it stops working again like it did earlier this year. Sounds like we all need to get together and file a class action lawsuit against them and hold them accountable to the contract we have with them. Also when you schedule an appointment good luck on the showing up. They usually are a no show no contact until you call and complain then after the 3rd time someone will finally show up. Horrible company. Gives Plumbers a bad name and reputation. We had a gas leak in my basement and needed a valve replaced. Should have been a straightforward job and quote. I turned to Google, found Perfect, and due to the positive reviews in google had them come out. The plumber that came out, kept finding reasons to increase the price and complexity of the replacement. Instead of just cutting the pipe and replacing the valve?? Long story short, ripped out a piece of pipe behind my stove, which was not the compromised valve or section of pipe, and took the good pipe and valve with him. He then increased the quote from $600 to $1700 stating that he would need a second person and labor prices are rising?? I mean sure, but not like that, $1700 divided by 2???? Feeling a bit swindled, as I am a technical person, I reached out for secondary quotes. Found a plumber in the area who did the repair for $400, in 2 hours by himself. Cut into the pipe and replaced the bad valve with a union. And it cost me $50 more because I had to replace the ripped-out piece of pipe and valve behind my stove. "Thanks" Perfect. Customers beware. This is very scammy behavior. Not sure how they have good reviews on Google, but their Yelp is very telling. read more

After seeing my review, a Customer Experience Specialist from Perfect Home Solutions reached out to ask for more details about the problems I reported having with the original guy responding to my call about the poor installation service. My original review was a 1-star review detailing how the installation crew had left metal debris all over the basement, including metal shavings and old screws from the old furnace they disassembled before they installed the new one, and them failing to remove the dehumidifier and seal the water line that went to it before leaving for the day. The first time I reached out to them to speak to a manager about this situation, the guy who called me had no compassion and it seemed like he didn't even like the fact that he was being bothered to call me. A little humility could've gone a long way, but this guy didn't seem to mind or care about the installation job and how messy the area was when they left. The second customer service representative (who had actually taken the time to read and review customer complaints and seemed to be actively monitoring reviews, explained the situation: people are still being brought up to date on the new policies, expectations, and standards since the merger of Orange Home Services and Perfect Home Services. The girl I spoke to (or lady/woman, whatever she prefers to be called because I don't mean to disrespect her by just saying "girl," as if she's not a professional or something--one never knows how anyone will react to the clumsy use of words/descriptors these days) was very kind, did not take any of my constructive criticism personally (as it certainly wasn't a personal thing for me, it was an issue of safety and there being a gap between what was sold to me/promised at signing, versus what was actually done), and told me that she could expect me to follow up, which she did. The bottom line is that it seems like customer service will actually come through for you if you have bad experiences with sales or installation. They'll at least want to make you feel like you didn't get taken advantage of, and while that's not as good a feeling as not having any problems at all, it's a lot better than walking away from an interaction angry and feeling like the company *meant* to rip off their customer. Perfect Home Services seems to be rapidly-expanding, so getting to the right person could take a couple of tries. But once you can pinpoint the person who is going to be your post-sale advocate within the company, they're going to follow up with you and do their best to make you happy. Still, I can't take back anything ELSE I said in my first review, as facts are facts, but I did feel 2 additional stars were warranted for the staff member who reached out to me and expressed her gratitude for my business and wanted to smooth things over. Had them out to look at my HVAC which took a nosedive. They came fast, and actually I liked the tech, who knew what he was doing, hence the extra star. Problem is, I know the game, come out look around, want to quote new system. I can't fault the tech, he doesn't make the rules. He doesn't set rates and there is pressure to sell, I have little doubt after seeing this more than a couple of times at this point from various home service companies. I was quoted 1200 for replacement of 2 parts that retail at less than 75.00 together and 1200 to clean the furnace. Give me a Break. I'm fine with paying people so they can earn a living, really am, but this is well into ripoff territory. If they'd handed me an estimate for 5-600 I'd have had them do it, knowing they have to pay the tech for a couple/few hours and they've got overhead. This was utter nonsense. I'd estimate 2 hours to clean the furnace, 1 to do the repair, which is simple. So: 2400-75(parts) = 2325 in labor. Let's be crazy and give it 5 hours, which is likely an absurd number. We're still looking at a rate of 465 an hour. $465 an hour? No. Effin. Way. I'm sick of these mechanical companies with massive fleets of trucks trolling for suckers ripe for the big score, which is exactly what these scams are, IMO. I've seen it before (Four Seasons I'm looking at you, Precision Plumbing I'm looking at you) and this company sure looks like one of them. Just disgusted at this point at the prevalence of these scam companies. Call a small guy, and don't get screwed. Not trustworthy. Perfect Home bought out my previous hvac company, so I paid them to come out to do a furnace inspection (we have 2). Turns out both furnaces had broken heat exchangers and were unsafe. Ok, furnaces are old, so I asked for them to give me a quote on new ones. Paid the technician, he told me the sales guy would be here later today. Sales guy comes, typical sales routine. Talks about his dogs, his baby, shows me baby video, buying his new home, remodeling his kitchen, real friendly guy. Lots of chuckling about dad jokes and compliments on my house. Goes into the basement, takes measurements, comes back to talk about my needs. Asks whether I want air duct cleaning, new air conditioner, new thermostats, all that. I told him to give me a quote for different options and I'll take a look. Eventually he slides over an iPad with four different options, ranging from like 17k to 30k or something. The four different options had bullet points of info, but didn't explain much. He said what do you think? I thanked him for putting this together and asked him to send me an email with the options to review. I asked about their schedule for install, and he said they could be here Monday (this was Friday.) I told him I'd let him know Monday afternoon, as I had another company coming out Monday to give me a quote. Well, his demeanor did a total 180. He looked at me, and asked why I felt the need to get another company's estimate? Mind you, this was the first time I ever used this company, I had no trust or connection with them built up as a customer. I said well, obviously, this is a huge purchase, wouldn't anyone get a second company to give their quote? He packed up his stuff and was out the door in less than 5 seconds after schmoozing me for more than an hour. Amazingly unprofessional and just sketchy. Had another, highly-recommended company come out and give me a straightforward quote for the two furnaces (including two new whole home humidifiers and two new thermostats) that came out to a few grand less than Perfect Home's bare bones estimate. They never did email the quote. Run, far and fast from Perfect Home. They're looking for people to scam. read more

PHS acquired the service we used to use (Reeder; you can look up my review). Reeder was great, and Perfect is far from it. Will string you along, schedule you multiple times and then not show up. Don't even bother calling them for a quote or even an estimate. Just save yourself some time and the hassle and find yourself another provider. Don't believe the juiced-up reviews you read on Google, by the way. It seems to be a marketing effort to cover up bad service. (Who has 3.5k reviews that are nearly all five stars, anyway?) If you do check the reviews there (and even here), sort by most recent and/or lowest first - you'll notice a theme. read more

Perfect Home Services has the worst service when it comes to keeping appointments. I placed an appoint to have my HAVC serviced and inspected a month out. My service appointment was between the hours of 8-12 when no one showed or called I telephoned and was told that the dispatcher noted on my account that they wouldn't be able to come to my home due to an emergency. On October 30th I scheduled and appointment to have my AWH serviced due to their prompting (i'm a VIP account holder). Again no one showed and a call was received late that evening saying the same thing. I don't feel valued I left this same company for the same reason and was assured that the company has changed. I am now on my 3rd phone call to this company attempting to get some sort of resolution. I refuse to pay another company to come out and have the annual checkups done and have to pay for it, when I am in a signed contract with this company. What I have received so far in my calls is "I am sorry that we can no longer honor the contract". We have a contract IN WRITING. I have provided the signed contract to this company and even with providing it and showing the dotted line, I am still getting "I am sorry". I would also like to mention from where this company is based out of Aurora, IL I am 18-19 miles away. I am still awaiting a resolution from this company. Don't call If you live in CHICAGO! WASTE OF TIME! Called in advance to schedule a Saturday appointment. Saturday I received a call at 815 that the plumber called off and will need to reschedule. Since he was able to reschedule the next day I was not upset. Sunday the plumber was to come between 8 and 12. I called after 12 and spoke to a Verna. Verna was very unpleasant and unprofessional. She said that they would not be out till 4 if at all. Then a hour later I get a call that the plumber does not want to work in the area I live. WTH! Do I live in a mansion? So apparently this company although said they would pay me $2,000 and prior to that I disputed my payment with them and gained $986 now they never responded with the balance they still owe me not even the balance of the $2k they promised me!! DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!! So, here is my story. When cold weather came this year (2021) I noticed here and there that my furnace was turning on and off more than last year. Called this company to see what the problem may be. Now, I do my research, I don't like being an uninformed buyer. So, I knew the flame sensor was the most likely culprit (a simple and easy 5 minute cleaning job of the sensor). Well, I had a technician come out. He "checked things". He took a bunch of fancy photos. Then he showed me a bunch of nonsense (nothing that was actually wrong, just showing me pictures he took and making things up trying to fool an unknowledgeable consumer). He told me it's overheating because it was installed poorly and old (it's about 10 years old) and the heat plate is warping and etc. and there's no fixing it... He proceeded to tell me the heater needed replacement which would be $5,000 to $20,000 (when he said this range of numbers I knew he was full of crap)! I politely paid him the $50 service fee and let him go on his way. Let's pause here. The last place I lived at (Just a 15 minute drive away) did need a new furnace. Almost same square footage. Got a Bryant furnace installed for about 2k... These guys want 5k to 20k (depending on furnace model; he gave a really huge range which was a red flag too)!?! Moving on. Had another company come out. This guy was honest. And just like I thought was the problem, he said yup, your flame sensor just needed cleaning (he said nothing else was wrong. Not overheating, not old and bad, not anything bad). He didn't try to sell me or charge me for anything extra. He cleaned the sensor, did some tests and tune up, and now the heat is working perfectly! That cost $200... Not 5k to 20K and a bunch of unneeded work. Basically, I'm glad I knew some things and didn't just go with the first guy. I'm sad to think of how many people they have taken for a ride. A simple easy $200 fix was changed to an attempted money grab of thousands! I am very happy I only paid them $50 for the service call / diagnosis and sent them on their way. BEWARE!!! read more

We had technician come out on 8/1/2023 to look at our water heater because our hot water kept going out. We ended up replacing our water heater on 8/15/2023. We asked for a copy of the owner's manual for the new water heater because we reviewed the manual for our old heater regularly and our familiarity with the processes for our old heater helped Perfect Home Services diagnosis the problems with it. We also ended up replacing our water softener the following week. Perfect Home promised to provide the manual for the new heater when they installed the new water softener. It is now 10/6/2023 and we have called Perfect Home four times since the water softener was installed, asking for a copy of the owner's manual. If you spend $7,300 on a new water heater and softener, expecting a copy of an owner's manual isn't an unreasonable request, is it? read more

They generally have great workers. However, when they screwed up on my furnace and ac install on several issues, they were unresponsive when I asked for a repair to the walls and some discount for the additional costs their mistakes caused. I called and emailed them, and texted their sales rep, all to no avail. I chose them because I figured the extra cost of their services would come with better customer service. So far, I've been frustrated with their responsiveness. The quality of their work, though, was great. I liked the installers they sent out despite the mistakes and they were professional and courteous when dealing with me face to face. I still hope they resolve the small issues that remain, but can't give a good review due to the frustration that I've had to deal with despite over 16k in costs. read more
