I would have never seen this salon as it's located around the corner from the main 5th Ave street - between the century 21 buildings. I'm glad I found it though - 7$ for eyebrow threading - can't beat that. I was a walk in and since there was no one else, I was helped immediately. They also do eyebrow tinting and other services. The quality of service depends on the day you go and who's providing the service. I recently went for eyebrow threading on a Saturday, late afternoon, while there were no other customers. The operator rushed, doing a poor job. The threading was fine but I asked her to trim the brows. When I returned home and took a good look at my brows, I had to do the job she didn't. BEWARE: STAY AWAY I went here because it's the only in place in the area with great reviews. I've been growing out my brows for a while and couldn't wait to get them shaped. Sonia sat me down and went on leaving her a review on yelp... As soon as I finished and paid, I noticed my brows were uneven!!! Upset, I kindly asked her to fix them. I explained one was higher arched than the other. She said they looked even. What is in a name? Everything! This is an eyebrow threading salon that really does excellent work. They always shape my brows beautifully (I am such a stickler when it comes to my eye brows) and I am left happy and satisfied every time. It's $7 for an eyebrow thread and they have a customer loyalty card where every 8th threading is free. They are excellent for shaping and threading. read more

This place is a joke. I got mink lashes for $85. One fell off right when I walked out the place. Another one fell off a few hours later while I was blinking. Had to go back the same day to get them "fixed." The next day 3 more fell off. I tugged on a couple and all easily came off. I was able to take them all off effortlessly and now they're all off. It was like barely any glue was used. Ive gotten eyelash extensions before and no way possible are they removed as easily as mine did. There was no eyelash prep, and the lady was glueing some of the mink lashes to my skin. They give no refunds and are rude as hell too. Currently disputing it with my bank. Dont go gere. The owner is not honest. I wanted to get henna done for my hair and she said I will have to pay 10 deposit before I make an appointment. Which i did pay her in advance and I said i will have to cancel it she is like no deposit back. She did not even mix the color and she is like its our policy. So I am like fine I will make it an appointment when I am free. So I made the appointment few days ago and just to confirm over the phone I called the salon and so its 20 for henna and she is like yes. When I called the place they said boss said it will be $30. She changed the price on me. The lady who did my henna for my hair was really nice. But ask them few times to be clear how much it is? Because they don't have a price written anywhere how much the henna for the hair is. The owner is unprofessional. read more

I've been going here consistently and my eyebrows went from being skinny and uneven to full and beautiful! I go to Sonia every 2 weeks for a cleaning and eyebrow tint which makes a world of a difference. See pic of my eye brow tint attached. I've been coming to Perfect Eyebrows Salon for over five years and I've never been disappointed. The first time I got my eyebrows done here was to fix a botched mess that I allowed to happen for several years because I just didn't know where to go with such bushy brows! The women were kind and created an AMAZING shape that I've up-kept since I was a teenager. They never go too thin and they really work with the natural shape of your brow. I went in tonight to do my trimonthly maintenance and saw Sonia who was awesome. We gabbed about the weather which got my mind off of all those hairs being pulled. When we were done, she asked for my punch card only to find out I was already on my FREE visit. Not only did I get a bang up job but I didn't have to pay for the threading (just a good tip). I gave this place a try back in November after I moved to bk and was looking for a good threading place. I've been a customer of the to the Maspeth location for years I love them! However this place is nothing like them. The service is rushed, they overdid my eyebrows to the point it took months for it to grow. They assumed everyone wants thin eyebrows. Not recommended. I agree with previous reviews.. Sonia is extremely rude to clients, and also belittling. Aside from the fact that she's always on the phone while working, she has zero customer service skills. I had noticed that my eyebrows were uneven, and when I brought it to her attention, she became very defensive and upset. She berated me in the presence of other customers. Will not be returning because of the awful customer service in a poorly run business. Went one night for lip and eyebrow thread and because of the lighting I did not notice several stray hairs until the next morning in better light. A couple stray hairs is normal after and I would just pluck but it was a significant patch so I decided to spend my free morning to go back and politely ask for a touch up. Since they foolishly never offer a receipt I understand the hesitation since it was not the same woman as before but she grudgingly agreed to touch me up, not after several annoyed looks of contempt. Understanding that I was being the "annoying customer" I graciously thanked her anyways. However, she continued to give me attitude and commented that were no hairs (even though I felt them being pulled, and why I would spend my free time to come back to some place that causes pain?) she then asked why I didn't look the night before and when I said it was dark and she sarcastically commented that there is light in the building. Before I left I thanked her again anyways and asked for the discount card stamp that they also forgot to give me the night before and she screamed at me that "no she can not stamp my card" before I just left, never to return. To top it all off I also have cuts on my eyelids because of the awful threading. I understand it was my mistake to not notice the hairs sooner but giving attitude and screaming at a loyal, paying customer is completely inappropriate. Will be taking my hard earned money elsewhere to someone who deserves it. read more

This was THE worst "eyebrow salon" I've ever been to. *The man behind the counter and the woman working argued that I should get threaded, instead of waxed. When I asked if I could just get my eyebrows waxed, they said yes... as if it wouldn't be a problem. * Despite my decline of thread work, the woman still attempted to thread me after a rough and painful wax job. When I told her that I 100% did not want threading, and that I preferred tweezing, she told me that she (I swear I'm not lying about this) DID NOT KNOW HOW to use tweezers. Tweezers. The #1 eyebrow instrument. *The woman then attempted to tweeze my eyebrows-- pulling the hairs in the opposite direction in which they hair grew and twisting with each pull. When I told her that all she had to do was pull in the direction that the hair did grow, she offered me the tweezers and told me I could do it myself. *The tweezers were old, blunt, and kept in a tin with other tools-- all with no sanitary liquids. *When I told them that I was just going to leave, because I did not trust them to work on my eyebrows any more, they screamed that I was not welcome back.
