This salon can fit you in faster than any other salon I know! Young, one of the hair stylists, is also another highlight of my trip for a quick haircut of a friend. She is a very likable and knows what she's doing. I love her service, she recommended to me a perfect blowout serum for my hair-- especially a red one because for now, my hair is red. The brands they carry are animal friendly and I chose Goldwell Kerasilk for the brand that compliments red. The salon's exterior is obviously not attractive, because it's super hidden and honestly, if it wasn't for Yelp, then I would look the other cheek. But once exploring this salon, the mirrors are a chestnut brown and it's very clean!! If I ever run out of Goldwell hair care supplies, this is literally where I'll go to restock my shelf. Found this salon via the Olaplex website & was able to make a Saturday appointment by calling just two days ahead. Staff is very friendly and professional. They know their stuff and are able to answer any hair questions. My appointment was with Young, who did a nice job with my Opaplex treatment. She took her time explaining the process and gave me the best scalp massage ever. Not kidding. Trying out a new salon is always anxiety inducing, but I would trust her with coloring or even cutting my hair. While the jury is still out on how well the Olaplex repaired my tired and thirsty strands, I will definitely be back to see Young. She comes across really experienced and knowledgeable. Even though they're not in a trendy hood or particularly bougie, they use Kerasilk products and Goldwell color, which are pretty top of the line. Their prices are very reasonable, although the price list should be taken with a grain of salt, as those are the starting prices. Depending on your particular hair, there could be an up-charge. Once I gave him the style I wanted he went to work & he was great about explaining how my ideas would work or if there is a better option. Especially with my wicked, wicked cowlick on the back of my head. Which, oddly enough, no other stylist has ever mentioned to me. My last haircut was over 8 months ago. Having put a pause on haircare since the pandemic started, I began my search on Yelp for a new hair stylist. I moved to the area last year, but hadn't found someone I liked yet. Checked out the reviews for this place then made a call. The receptionist was very friendly, looked to fit me in on certain days, and explained the COVID screening procedures. I was thrilled they wore masks, did temperature checks and had hand sanitizer everywhere. I had my haircut with Shannon. He was extremely capable and professional. He explained the water temperatures I should be using to wash and condition my hair, how to keep the CO air from affecting my scalp, and what layers I should have if I prefer a super low maintenance haircut. I liked the laid back atmosphere, it was friendly and not stuck-up. I also liked that they were up front about the cost (for my length of hair, past the shoulders the haircut was $40). Having called other locations where they charge $70-$80 (I can't really justify that kind of money during the pandemic especially because my hair isn't complicated to cut) I feel like Perfect Cuts gave me great value for my money. Young is fabulous! What else to say? Heh, well, if you have not been here, you will not know! My husband and I have gone to her for over 12 years now. We met her at a previous salon before she opened her very own place: Perfect Cuts. I enjoy her other staff as they are personable and friendly. I cannot speak to their talent as out of loyalty, we do not see anyone but Young. Amidst this climate of pandemic and other unrest in our country, Young made it through to re-open a few weeks ago. Sadly, mainly to my husband's chagrin, she cannot trim beards or other facial hair - yet. However, we have both had our hair cut (and mine colored) since she re-opened. My hubby loves her attention to detail and great eye for being balanced and even throughout trimming his short hair. My color and cut came out just as I wanted. Yet, this is not the greatest part of our visits. Her salon's cleanliness and attention to customer and stylist care was impeccable! There were two air filters, temperature taking prior to care, a signature acknowledging your temperature and that you are healthy to be seen plus a freshly sanitized pen to use. The gowns were single use, tools sanitized between use, chair sanitized between use, towels only for that patron, and everyone had masks and gloves on. Gloves were changed often between surface touching. Upon check-out, she sanitized the pen and card before handing it to you. Young continues to rock it out. She is amazing! Do NOT go here. They can do either good or very bad. They will mess up your hair and then yell at YOU as if you had done the wrong, then tell you that they won't fix it 'for free'. They also misquote and overcharge -- BEWARE. Once I was quoted $40 and paid over $80. Another time a girl messed up my hair and she quoted me $40 TO FIX HER OWN MISTAKE and then charged $120!! Then she ruined it AGAIN and would not fix it...then she yelled at me (literally). That was Yasmin. Sometimes the staff is great, but all they care about is the bottom line - not your hair or the customer! You can show an EXACT PHOTO of what you want and they do something totally different! I spent $250 and lots of tears there before I had to go somewhere else to have it done. Do NOT get your hair done there! It's my fault for letting them touch my head again but like I said, they can be great or terrible. Don't take your chance. Spend your money where people know what they are doing and will stand by their work. read more

After reading the reviews, I went here and requested young. I would give her 5 stars for the cut and 0 stars for the color. I cut 10 inches off and went with a super short style. She did great with the cut. The color is another story. She kept saying how great a color it was. When I got outside and saw it in the natural light, it was orange not blonde. When I tried to talk to her about it, she refused to give me a refund and told me she would charge me to fix it. I would have gone back every month for a trim if she had just refunded my color. Instead I had to go elsewhere. No way was I going to go back to have her screw up the color again. Use caution when going here. read more

My daughter went in for a trim and was charged $40.00! Yes she has longer hair, but it was just a trim. When she tried to find out why it was so much, she was told because she has long hair and when she asked to talk to the manager, she was hung up on. My daughter is on a budget and $40 for a trim is a big hit. This salon needs to be upfront with their fees and needs to learn basic manners. I was not there but my daughter is furious and frustrated with the whole situation. I have no idea if these stylists are any good but I do know they have no experience in dealing with the public. I have short, thick hair, and every salon I've gone to, no matter how much I told them 'I'm trying to grow it out', would hack away, like they were doing me a favor. And a poor hacking job at that. The first time Young cut my hair it was a little short but okay. The second and LAST time I asked her to take off ONE inch (it had been 4 months since my last haircut) around chin length. Instead she took off at least 2 1/2 inches a little below my ears,it doesn't turn under well anymore and the back is barely an inch long. I didn't realize how butchered it looked as my eyesight is poor, until I got home. She did say several times, "It's pretty short" but I trusted her to follow the length instructions I had given her. I DO NOT recommend this place at all. Went in to get full highlights. This BARELY made a difference in my hair, all of my friends/family tell me they can't see a difference. On top of that, the woman blow dried my hair without asking me, so I assumed it was just a normal service. I spent the whole time sitting there thinking about how I couldn't wait to go home and shower to undo her styling, because I looked like an 80's housewife (NOT in a good way).
