The van in question, VIN # 3C6MRVHG9RE120087, stock CXR8802 with only 79 miles on the odometer. I saw the vehicle was available on their website so I requested a test drive. I received an email back from someone at the dealership within a short time stating that the van was indeed still available. They acknowledged my interest and my request for a test drive for the next day. I made an appointment for around 6:00PM. I informed the sales agent that I was a serious buyer who could potentially purchase the van that day. I received a phone call early in the morning and an email later that day to confirm my appointment. I received a text an hour before my appointment, letting me know that a sales agent was expecting me. When I arrived, it took a while to find the sales agent. Since I arrived 30 minutes early, I was told to wait until 6:00PM. As a potential customer, I was a little annoyed at having to wait when the sales agent was just standing around, talking to other sales agents but I accepted it. I did not see any other customers. At 6:00PM, the sales agent went to pick the van up. After 30 minutes he returned to tell me that the van was no longer available and that I should look for a different vehicle. I reminded him that I had received a phone call, emails and texts verifying that it was still available. I showed him the Russ Darrow website showing the van was still available but he replied that it was not. Infuriated at this "bait-and-switch" tactic, I asked to speak with the sales manager. The sales manager, Mr. Sone Phrakousonh, told me the van had just been sold at auction. I questioned the reasoning a vehicle with only 79 miles would be sent to auction but received no explanation. After mentioning the multiple confirmations I had received, with indifference, Mr. Phrakousonh then said that there had been a mistake but that I am free to look for a different vehicle. After some back and forth dialog, Mr. Phrakousonh then said that the van I had come to see was on the lot but it's no longer for sale. Then he said the van was no longer on the lot because it was sold to a different dealer who will be taking it to an auction. 3 different explanations within a 5 minute timeframe. I then asked Mr. Phrakousonh to provide an out-the-door cost breakdown of a different van on the lot with similar mileage and was given a sheet of paper with a few handwritten one-word notes indicating the tax and a service fee. I asked to see the van and was told I would need to return to the dealership the next day. I asked whether any discounts can be applied, given the situation I had endured with the first van. Mr. Phrakousonh promptly refused, stating, "if you don't want it at that price, that's fine with me". I asked to speak with Mitch Darrow the general manager and was informed that Mr. Phrakousonh was currently the only manager available. The level of dishonesty, unprofessionalism, arrogance and total lack of caring about a potential sale by Mr. Phrakousonh , the sales manager, was beyond comprehension. I have since purchased a similar vehicle at a competing dealership.

The waiting area is very clean and tidy, with a TV and magazines to help pass the time, free coffee, soda, water, and cookies, and free Wi-Fi, although I couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work. :( The repair took longer than the estimated time, which I kind of expected. Sort of like going to the dentist or doctor, you know? But all in all, it wasn't a bad experience. Just wish the Wi-Fi had worked!

Here's my last & final encounter with Kunes. Friday April 24, 2026 my husband and I dropped off our vehicles for diagnostic. We both received text messages stating what was found but no one ever called us on Friday to say when our vehicles would be ready for pick up. Damien was the service advisor we were working with. He never called and when I called at 4pm (after I was done working) to check on our vehicles I was told that Damien was gone along with 90% of the techs and advisors. I requested to speak to a manager or someone who could help me since we were without any vehicles on a Friday and the shop wouldn't be back open until Monday. Steve called me and told me he could give me a loaner so we would have some sort of transportation. Kudos for Steve stepping up when he was not the technician nor advisor that was working with us. Monday I received a call from Damien to let me know someone made a mistake or there was a glitch in their system but no labor was added to the estimate for repairs they texted me with on Friday. My repair estimate went from $2400 to $4500 on a 2016 vehicle. I stated to Damien that I'd talk to my husband but I'd most likely go to ANOTHER DEALERSHIP and purchase a new vehicle. I put emphasis on going someplace else in hopes that Damien would show he gave AF. I did find out that on Friday, Damien was more interested in getting to the Brewers game than to call me or my husband to let us know we'd be without a vehicle until at least Monday. Ramses (Sales advisor) and Tony (Sales manager) at Lake Chevrolet on South 27th street were a breath of fresh air and the kind of service we desperately was hoping to get from Kunes seeing that we'd been a customer of Griffin Chevy for over 10yrs. Kunes you lost loyal customers and lost out on selling 2 brand new trucks (2026 Silverado RST & 2026 Equinox) that we purchased from Lake Chevrolet. I'm telling everyone I know not to do business with Kunes. Oh I forgot my husband's 2016 vehicle was brought in for check engine light and hesitation when pushing the gas. Accord to Kunes they test drove it and when they got off the highway it made a noise and was no longer able to be driven. We asked if it could be towed across the street to CarMax so we could sell it and we were told no we don't have a tow. Poor customer service at its finest. Stay clear of Kunes Metro Auto Mall Milwaukee.

The only thing he said is that there was a minor fender bender that was 100% fixed. But six months after I bought the car my son said hey mom the whole front of your car is falling off. I needed an oil I made an appointment to get that done and talk about the front end of my car. long story short. I was there for an oil change and supposedly all they had to do was to get clips to put the front end back on. I was there for six hours and nothing ever happened. He kept lying to me saying that he was calling this place and that place, but he didn't know about me as I knew owners of those places because of my own business and I called there and they said no one ever called and the reality is he could've walked across the street to a Nissan dealer and gotten those clips done but he did absolutely nothing . I used to like Carmax I would never go there again!!! I did go to a Nissan dealer to get rid of that car and they did give me a fair price thankfully and purchased a brand new Nissan Murano through Rosen. Rosen has excellent service all the way around, good pricing excellent to negotiate with too.

Right away I could tell my truck was not driving right - it felt like it was driving in a low gear. Took it back to Carmax they had the truck for one month. They call me to come pick the truck up. I get there and ask what options do I have. Carmax appraisal team only wanted to give me $7,000 for a car I have not been able to enjoy. I was told I need to pay $10,000. Take it back to Carmax because when I gave my truck to them for an engine issue my sunroof was working. Still waiting on outcome. It is now March 2026.

I think Heiser Toyota is a great place to buy a car. But their service department is NOT where you…read morewant to take your car. We have 2020 Rav4 which now has 82,000 miles on it. Whenever my wife takes it for oil change and tire rotation they try to sell her all kinds of bogus services. They started this when the car had about 40,000 miles. I think they proposed $1200-1400 in maintenance services over and above oil change. At 60,000 miles it was about $1700. Today at 82,000 they proposed services totaling $1,877.60. Attached is proposal. Now i have looked at Toyota's recommendations in their manual. Most of these either aren't on there or they come at much later mileage. Toyota is supposed to be one of the most reliable cars needing very little in repairs or maintenance. This dealer thinks some of these should be done every 30,000 or every 60,000 miles. See their notes on what they proposed. Dynamic engine restoration for $600 - what the heck is that. I worked at a car dealer many years ago - dynamic engine restoration is a scam of epic proportions. I have a 2017 Tundra and a 2011 Prius that i take to a different Toyota dealer. They never ask me to do any of this. I personally think it might be that my wife takes her rav4 in and they figure they can suck her into doing this junk. That is offensive all by itself. But to take advantage of anyone by trying to scam them into unnecessary services is Completely Unacceptable. I've written to Toyota - they referred complaint to dealer and couldn't even be bothered to respond. So I now have to resort to warning people in reviews not to waste money on garbage services. I think a letter to Toyota in Japan might elicit a different response than Toyota USA. I love my Toyotas but I think these service scams that take advantage of people thinking they need this stuff should be investigated.
