Russ Darrow Invoice 1

Russ Darrow Honda's service department is horrible; it cost me $700 here, but nothing was fixed. I still have the related invoices, which I've attached here. Two years ago, the left rear ABS sensor harness of my car was broken. I went to Russ Darrow Honda and spent about $350 to get it fixed (replaced with a new one). However, just one day later, the same part broke again. I returned to Russ Darrow Honda and spent another $350. Unfortunately, the same part broke once again after a few days. I finally got it fixed at Firestone, and it has worked well since then (two years). I asked customer service why, and I was told that it might be due to a rodent bite. Okay, my car had been parked in that parking lot for a year, and I had never seen or heard of any rodents damaging anyone's car. Why did the rodent only bite the part I had fixed at Russ Darrow? And why did it bite it twice? And why, after I had it fixed at Firestone, did that 'magical rodent' never bite it again? Anyway, two years ago, I was experiencing a big life change, and I had no time or energy to ask for a refund. Now that I've moved to another state, I feel the need to share my experience. Until today, I have not received any compensation.

We were stranded right in front of this place,he came out and took a look and will look at it…read morefurther,they gave us a ride home which was nice,hope this place is fair and honest!, after waiting for a few days they needed to replace transmission coolant lines which I thought was a bit long plus poor communication between us, it turned out to be a bit of a frustrating job and it could of went smoother,but their nice guys,they try and help anyway they can,im just not sure what to make of the whole situation,there was a lack of communication and job detail involved on the paper work unfortunately. They did all they could for us which in the end we thought was pretty good,hope in the future things go a bit sweeter,smoother thats all.

went here for suspension repair and they found my oil pan needed to be replace. quote for the oil…read morepan replacement was $1,000 because of the 4x4 and needing to lift the engine to get the oil pan replaced. I agreed to the price, and when I picked up my truck I had an ABS code light on and an exhaust manifold leak. took the truck back and they fixed the ABS issue. Tim claimed that he didn't need to lift the engine for the oil pan replacement so he didn't touch the exhaust manifold bolts... ask him then why did you charge me $1k? "my mechanic found a different way, sometimes I win some and sometimes I lose some" was his answer..... further more after breaking the manifold bolt(s) " I don't want to tie up a mechanic to drill out a broken bolt(s)". he rather screw multiple customers in a shift vs just one. find a different mechanic to go too!!!

I bought a Nissan Murano from Trey or Dre. I can't remember which but he knew that the front end…read morewas falling off and didn't tell me. The only thing he said is that there was a minor fender bender that was 100% fixed. But six months after I bought the car my son said hey mom the whole front of your car is falling off. I needed an oil I made an appointment to get that done and talk about the front end of my car. long story short. I was there for an oil change and supposedly all they had to do was to get clips to put the front end back on. I was there for six hours and nothing ever happened. He kept lying to me saying that he was calling this place and that place, but he didn't know about me as I knew owners of those places because of my own business and I called there and they said no one ever called and the reality is he could've walked across the street to a Nissan dealer and gotten those clips done but he did absolutely nothing . I used to like Carmax I would never go there again!!! I did go to a Nissan dealer to get rid of that car and they did give me a fair price thankfully and purchased a brand new Nissan Murano through Rosen. Rosen has excellent service all the way around, good pricing excellent to negotiate with too.

I bought a 2016 Ford Explorer in December 2025. Two days after buying it the check engine light…read morecame on. I took it back to Carmax - Milwaukee, they gave me a loaner while they checked it out. They told me it was good but if the light comes back on I will need to take it to Ford. Next day light is back on. I take it to Ford they said a new engine was needed. Carmax refuse to pay Ford and sent it to ETE auto repair - were they replaced the transmission. Right away I could tell my truck was not driving right - it felt like it was driving in a low gear. Took it back to Carmax they had the truck for one month. They call me to come pick the truck up. I get there and ask what options do I have. Carmax appraisal team only wanted to give me $7,000 for a car I have not been able to enjoy. I was told I need to pay $10,000. Drive truck off the lot just to find out that my sunroof is no longer operable and stuck in the open position. Take it back to Carmax because when I gave my truck to them for an engine issue my sunroof was working. Still waiting on outcome. It is now March 2026.
