I've been going to Jeff's Automotive since I moved across the street three years ago. Everything from oil changes, tire rotations, fixing flats and even installing amazing headlights, fog lights, turn single and fender lights on my Jeep Wrangler. They never try and upsell you anything that you don't need and never make you feel like an idiot when you ask questions. The owner JB is a fair and honest guy and that is truly hard to find nowadays especially in a mechanic. Mike at the front desk is always pleasant and rather funny on occasion. I had my breaks line fixed..when they went to bleed the break line the mechanics broke the bleeder valve on caliper told my wife they need to replace both calipers... picked my car up on a Saturday ! The breaks don't perform as they should my break pedal goes to the floor ! Do they double check there work ! In the last few months we have taken all 3 of our car's to Jeff, for mechanical problems to simple oil changes and things were going well. Yesterday my husband took our car there and basically it was time to get rid of the car. So he called the office and explained to the office staff (who was very nice) that we could not pick up the car until the following day around 4:00pm. Had an apt. At Jeff's today as there were a few things going on with my vehicle. The customer service I received was pretty impressive. Jeff & staff were very accommodating for the services I needed. I have a hybrid and sometimes run into trouble when my vehicle needs maintenance and I end up having to go to a dealership which is always more expensive & time consuming. Jeff was able to fix everything in a very timely manner & give me an appropriate range of cost I would end up paying depending on how much labor was required. They were extremely kind & thankful for my business, which I appreciated, especially after spending a lot of money on what needed to be fixed. My parents go to Jeff and praise his professionalism & timeliness. As a woman I have been lied to and taken advantage of in the past at other auto places because I am clueless when it comes to vehicle maintenance. Getting my tires done today... Prices are okay. But, service is my grudge. I called yesterday to see if they could change my tires. They said yes. We have an opening right away at 8am. I thought it was perfect and figured I'd have them change my oil too. I bring my car in at 8 and am told my tires wouldn't be in until later in the morning. No big deal... Things happen... My borrowed car privileges ran out at noon so I figured I'd come down and wait. After all the last time I had my tires changed, it only took 2 hours before the place called to say they were done. I get here and my car was on the rack just starting to be worked on. Then the lady comes out to tell me it's going to be awhile because they have to stop working on my car to work on someone with an appointment. What do they think telling me to come in at 8am was? Don't get me wrong... i love explaining to my boss that i have to burn a vacation day. There are other places. Or, go here... Only if you know what their version of an appointment is... Just wanted to give a belated shoutout to Jeff's Automotive in Cudahy. Back a couple months ago I asked them to look at my car once an intermittent squealing sound FINALLY persisted long enough to perform for a mechanic. When they were done with the car, the mechanic came out and told me that they replaced the serpentine belt. I gave them an irritated response, since THEY were the ones who installed the belt the previous June, and I had been hearing intermittent squealing almost since the time they put it in. After my mini-tirade, I looked at the invoice and saw that Jeff's REPLACED THE BELT FOR FREE! When I asked why no charge, I was told that this belt was bad less than a year from when they installed it. Not sure if the belt was bad from the beginning or the installation was faulty, but I can tell you that Jeff's Automotive stands behind their work. I can recommend them highly for any of your auto needs, especially replacement tires (which include free rotation for the life of the tires). read more

Jeff's has quickly become my favorite source for maintenance and repair of my autos. The first thing I will recommend you do when visiting Jeff's as a first time customer is take a look at the shop floor. Jeff's is probably the most immaculate mechanics garages I have ever witnessed. I would be willing to eat off this floor. This to me, is a very good sign of a team that is careful, orderly and doesn't rush. On to service. I have had nothing but good experiences with Jeff's. Service is always quick and completed on-time. I'll admit that my work order history with them is limited to tires and oil-changes, but I have no doubt that more extensive work would yield similar results. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I recently had them order tires for my van; which I accidentally gave them the wrong model year and tire size. The error was not noticed until the tires arrived and my van dropped off for service. They could have easily given me a hard time about wasting their time and efforts, but instead they happily re-ordered the correct size, going to far as to hunt down the correct tire from regional suppliers since their regular source only had 3 tires available immediately. This was all done without charging a re-stocking fee. Price wise, I've called around for a recent larger order maintenance item (timing belt/water pump) and found them to be a bit on the high side. However, they were within 10% of the lowest quoted price and looking back, I think I would have been happier with the results had I gone with Jeff's. One final note. I am pretty meticulous with my cars. I have historically done my own oil changes because other than (my Acura dealer, who overcharges); I don't trust most mechanics to NOT use an impact wrench to install the drain plug. On my first visit to Jeff's for an oil change. I asked that they not use an impact wrench for installation of the plug, as I typically do in instances where I take a car in. They responded without pause that they never use an impact wrench to do so. This, in my eye, is another good sign of a mechanic who cares about his work and is not just interested in how many cars they can get through the shop in a day. read more

He plugged the tire for absolutely no charge & performed the first rotation - also completely free when you buy tires here. My dad was a mechanic for years. Went to Jeff's to get four new tires on my 2011 Ford edge. After calling Firestone, sam's Club, Big bear tires in Oconomowac and farm and fleet, they had the best prices and were able to get me in right away. Also had to get new brake pads and rotors, which they were able to do at the same time. After getting quotes for that they had the best prices. So far I am pleased. I would recommend them. Took my car here for a tire rotation and general check-up before taking a long trip. They need to start by improving customer service and being polite to customers. Then the mechanic pulled my car out front and told me that he did NOTHING to the car, not even the tire rotation I asked for, because it wasn't worth it - the tires were "junk." I was shocked seeing as how I buy my tires in pairs, and that last pair was purchased about 13 months prior to this appointment... I was not charged because he did not do any work, but he did take the time to tell me how ruined my tires were. I went to another mechanic, who told me nothing of the sort. I knew I was due for at least 1 new pair, and he agreed, but he said my other set had "plenty of tire left to them, they're fine" he even tested them. This tells me 1 of 2 things: either Jeff's is "that" kind of mechanic who is just trying to get your money all around, or he did as many others do and told a female a bunch of BS to get her to spend money. read more

BEWARE!! After breaking down in south Milwaukee, Jeff's Automotive was recommended. After Jeff had looked at my car he called me to tell me that, "something was broke inside my engine". When I asked him to elaborate, he said in a very sarcastic tone, "I don't know, I can't see through metal". He also went on to say that he had over 30 years in the car repair business. I'm thinking it took him 30 years to come up with "something is broke" in an engine. That would be like a doctor saying "you're sick but I don't know what's wrong with you, I can't see through skin". I think there is a little bit of "good ole boy" going on here and also condescending to women. Spend a little extra money and take your car to someone that won't just tell you that something is "broke" on your car. read more

Went to Jeff to get ball joints replaced, after a few months the car was making noise again. Took the car to a different mechanic and was told that the ball joints are bad... Called Jeff and he said bring the car in. He looked at it and said it was the struts (struts were newly replaced), we told him that we had a warranty thru him but he said he would honor it and told us to pick the car up or he was going to have it towed. Don't trust him, he is just out to make a buck. Customer service is horrible!!! read more
