I called the day before and set an appointment at 2:30p to test drive a Rav 4. I explained to the staff member I was driving from 2 hrs away. I called the morning of the appointment at 12:30p and talked to another staff member, once again stated I would be driving 2 hrs (one direction) and wanted to make sure the recall was taken care of. The kind staff member stated, yes the recall is closed. "The car will be warmed up and waiting for you." while I was10 minutes from the dealership I received a text stating the vehicle has been sold but they have many more to choose from. Once I walked in I showed the manager the text and asked for an explanation. He apologized and calmly sat while I yelled & expressed my anger. He could not do anything to help, not even as much as a gas card (4 hr round trip traveled). The manager explained that the other person called in and put down a deposit, then signed a contract via e-mail to hold the vehicle. Which was NOT Explained to me by either of the 2 staff member I spoke to. If I knew that was an option, I would have put down the deposit and signed whatever needed to be signed. I WAS NEVER TOLD. Make an appointment for oil change and tire rotation at ten thirty am... walk into the waiting area... they tell you it may be a two hour wait. Why make an appointment if you have to wait two hours... That was last time I was there... Today I had an 11am appointment. Dropped it off, told them I'd return at 1pm. Be wiser buy somewhere else. Worst buying experience ever. Long story short, needed a car and quick. Found a new 2023 Traverse at the West Bend location, near home, great. Bought from the West Allis location a long time ago and had a good experience. I didn't need a test drive, unfroze my credit, negotiated a deal said I'd be there at 5 to sign on the line, this was late morning. I get there, nothings done. Salesperson had no idea since the internet person I was dealing with didn't forward the info. Kept giving me a different number than what we had agreed on in emails so I had to show him that. He had to go talk to the manager a few times. Anyhow, I hand over a down payment of 12,500 in the form of a check. Only to find out car can't be delivered tonight and paperwork couldn't be processed. Next morning I find out there's better finance deals in lieu of rebate so i emailed again. She kept screwing up the numbers, sending me generic information that didn't apply to me etc. After probably a dozen emails just trying to get the number I was financing I was so frustrated I said screw it I'm going elsewhere and that I would be in to collect my check. She then announces check had been cashed and it would take days to clear and get a refund. I go to my bank online, check had indeed been cashed so I couldn't even stop payment. So I had no car, they had me and my 12,500 hostage for a car I hadn't even signed on the line for. I had no choice but to buy it. I'm now in a car I should be enjoying but all I think about how poorly this whole ordeal went and I was stuck purchasing something I no longer wanted. BEWARE of the service dept. I came in to have my brake pads replaced. The service advisor Christen told me they do not "pad slap" meaning, they will not put on brake pads without replacing the rotors. However, they have a coupon for just brake pads on their own website. Their own employee in the parts dept had told me he used to work in the service dept and he used to "pad slap" cars all the time. The only reason why I came here is because they had an opening. 3 other Chevy dealers already looked at my car and told me my rotors were just find and only needed pads replaced. I ended up going to Midis who replaced the pads and also said my rotors were fine. Don't trust what the service advisor tell you because they also work on commission. Always get a 2nd opinion because what the "recommend" is NOT what you really need. read more

took my car in for transmission work And tire replacement. i couldn't get anyone to give me an update , had to take a Lyft to get the car since there driver never arrived. After pickup my car had a tire warning. made appointment to get it fixed and They blamed me and wanted $125 to fix there issue. I had to leave my car for the day and they left me stranded at 5pm on a Friday since they would not send someone to pick me up as promised. $25 later I'm home via Lyft. Horrible!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! *this is going to be a long one. But it's so worth the read. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP**** We came on a Saturday. We walked around the parking lot for at least 30 minutes. I was shocked no one came out to help us. I was looking at a brand new Equinox. Usually people from dealerships flock towards you. Not this dealership. We went into the dealership to find some help. We walked around the dealership for at least 5 minutes. 2 sales people were at their desks without any customers. No one said a word to us. We walked outside and were about to go home when someone from the dealership was walking outside. We then asked for help. Her name was Amy. She said she saw us inside, but thought we were already being helped? You'd think she would ask?? We test drive the Equinox. Loved it. Amy asks us if we would be interested in a used one. It was 10k cheaper, but it wasn't in yet. I said absolutely. She said she would be right back with more information on it. We went on their website. Found the equinox she was talking about. googled the VIN number. Found it on an auction website..it had front end damage at an estimated repair of almost 6k. When Amy calls us over to her desk. She starts to give us more information about it. I then ask her if it was in an accident. She tells me NO. Pulls up the car fax. Turns her computer screen towards me. Nothing on it. I tell her what I see online. I'm not sure if she just acted confused. Or if she really was confused. She then gets up to go talk to her manager. When she got up. We looked at the screen again. She's showing me a car fax on a IMPALA. We are looking at an equinox!! She comes back and asks what website we are looking at. I didn't even answer her question at that point. I told her she was showing us a car fax for the wrong vehicle. Again, not sure if she's really confused, or just acting at this point. She finally pulls up the car fax on the CORRECT vehicle. Sure enough. The car hit a tree. I told her I wasn't interested. I should have walked out right then and there. But I still wanted info on the new one we came to see. She asked us the usual. Are we returning GM customers. Are we first responders, etc. Any goes to her manager. She comes back with numbers. Added on a bunch of warranties we didn't want. It came out to be like 34k. I said no. Give me numbers without warranties. Goes back to her manager again. She comes back with 31k. I stop her right there. Their website clearly shows 29k. She's giving me 31k. AGAIN, not sure if she's ACTING or is really confused. She asks to see my phone. Multiple times to see the discounts given on their website. She goes to her manager for a THIRD TIME for numbers. Finally comes back with the figure on their website. At this point. We've been at the dealership for over 2 hours, almost 3. We feel messed around with. We love the vehicle. Hate the dealership. We try getting her down in price because at this point, who wouldn't? She didn't budge. She's getting flustered. She finally can't deal with us anymore. I don't know if she was embarrassed or very clearly caught in the shady games dealerships play. She gets a manager to talk to us finally. I have no words for this manager besides condescending. He talked down to us. Talked like we were stupid. He showed us the invoice and claimed it was already being sold under invoice. Didn't budge on price and continued to ask for our business. We said we would "think about it". He gives us time to talk. We decide to leave. Any catches us on the way out asking if we are going to come back. FAT CHANCE. Amy continued to email, call and text me after this. Trying to entice me with free car washes and free home delivery after this situation. Which was funny, because all of those things are free services they give people anyways. It was no real benefit to me We've dealt with a lot of dealerships over the years. Over a week later and I still haven't heard back from management regarding the scratches. Called twice on my way in to the dealer (including 20 minutes before arriving) and everything was fine and car was available. When I got there they told me they had just sold the car. Sales woman was nice but the girl sitting at the front desk kept giving dirty looks and making comments about "sorry, it was a cash deal." I would never buy a car from Heiser Chevrolet or tell anyone else to ever go there to buy a car. I was looking for a new car and saw a car on their website that I will was interested in so we went to the dealership to look at it. When we got there we walked around the lot for a good 10-15 minutes before someone even came out to talk to us. we told Amy what car we were looking for that we saw on the website she said that she did not know any car like that so she said lets go look it up on my computer. When we went inside to her desk first she had trouble even getting on to her computer because she said she just came back from vacation and was having trouble remembering her log on passwords. she finally was able to sign on with help from some guy behind the counter. Amy was not able to find the car on her computer so we showed her the ad that was on their website. She then went to talk to the three managers that were all busy watching the badger game on the tv. She came back and said that one of the guys said that car was not for sale so I could not buy it. We asked her why is it on your website if it is not for sale she said she didn't know what to say but she would go ask the managers again about it. When she came back about 5 minutes she said that it was for sale and did I want to test drive it. I told her yes so she went and pulled it around. We took it for a test drive and really liked it. When we pull back in from the test drive Amy asked how we liked it. I told her I really liked it and we asked a few questions about things that we saw on the car that needed to be looked at or fixed. She went in to ask the managers about the things we noticed to see what they would do about them. We were waiting for her at her desk while she was talking to the managers. When she came back she said that two of the managers said they would sell me the car and fix the few things but the head manager said that the car was not for sale. While we were sitting there we could hear the one manager talking about us and it was not very nice. I had already told her I was paying cash for the car and they didn't care. There was only one other customer at the whole dealership and they walked out too. The managers were too busy watching the game to even come talk to us about the car. We walked out without anyone of them saying sorry or good bye. If I could of given them zero stars it would of be better. They lost a few sales from me and my family. In the past I would have given Heiser Chevrolet in West Allis five stars for their service department. I would now give them zero stars if I could. First, the centralized appointment scheduling is a complete misery. Then when we arrived the three Service Advisors ignored us. Finally one Advisor acknowledged our presence, but all three had attitudes. This was routine work that we do twice a year, but the Advisor acted like this was never done before. When we picked the car up the other Advisor had a worse attitude, and failed to explain there was a new procedure for payment. Once we wasted time trying to pay at the old location, we returned for another dose of attitude. Plus, the car was filthy. In the past the interior would have been well protected and the car would have been washed (weather permitting). No longer. On top of that the service charges had increased 20% from seven months ago. We have been customers for almost 15 years, and their service department was so good we would take our non-GM vehicles as well as our Chevrolets. I would have complained to the Service Manager, but the lack of vehicles in the service department tells me she tolerates the incompetence of both the Advisors and Technicians, and other customers have noticed. I bought a 2016 Silverado from here and right away I had issues with it. I first took it in so they can check it because wireless charger didn't work, the brakes were squeaking. While driving it would pull to the right. They supposedly fixed it but everything is the same. I took it the 2nd time to get checked out because I had to jump start it a couple of time. Now I have to take it again because since it started raining it is leaking from the rear window all over the rear seat and ruining the headliner. Tachometer stopped working, check engine light comes on constantly, all buttons stop working, cruise control randomly turns off, crash sensors only work sometimes after tachometer was fixed. I have had consistent bad luck with tires on my 2010 Cobalt in the last year. We just returned from a cross-country trip to Colorado, and filled the right-rear tire in Iowa City, IA. Made it home safely, but the tire pressure light came back on before the week was out. I filled the tire again on Thursday, and again on Friday. When I got in the car on Saturday morning, the pressure was down to 8pps! I immediately took the car to Heiser (around noon on Saturday). While the techs were performing oil changes, the manager thought they could get me in between them. I went to the service lounge, and within a half hour, the diagnosis of a cracked pressure valve was delivered. Twenty minutes later, I was done, and with my Preferred Customer card, my total bill was just $3.15. Can't beat that! read more

This is about the body shop, not about the dealer or the service center. I was involved in an accident and while it was a small fender bender, I needed my vehicle fixed because it's a leased vehicle and I didn't want to pay for it at the end of my lease. I first called and left a message about obtaining an estimate for a 2014 Escape at a Chevy location. He said they could fix anything! Great! They are usually open until 5, but Jim (the manager) will stay a bit later if you need him to. I was able to make it there before they closed. He checked out my rear bumper, gave me two estimates (one for myself and one for the person that rear-ended me). He said he would need about a week to get me a loaner car and the parts, but that the repair would take only a day. As far as the estimate, I was on my merry way within 10 minutes. A week later I phoned him to ask about when I could bring my car in for the repair. Jim said they had availability in two days and that if I came at 8am when they opened, he would get me in a loaner and have my car ready that day. Everything he said was accurate. I was fortunate to be given a free loaner (which drove like junk for a 2013, but was free!) and when I picked my car up, they had washed and dryed the car. It looked amazing and I couldn't have been happier! While I was paying for the repair I took a quick glance and it appeared that the waiting room was nice and had some refreshments. If I had to wait, I could've popped open my laptop and started working because they have free Wi-fi in their waiting area. In terms of payment, they take credit card and insurance checks, but the individual that rear ended me wrote a cashier's check. It was written to both myself and Heiser and I was able to sign it right over to them at the counter. Super convenient. I don't own a Chevy, but for body work, I would recommend Heiser Body Shop to a friend. read more

I called yesterday and needed an immediate appointment for my vehicle. I called Heiser Chevrolet in West Allis after calling nine other dealers and auto repair centers. This was the only location willing to accommodate me at the last minute. The man who answered the phone was polite and quick. When I came in today, Mike met me in the garage at my car (this doesn't happen every where) and introduced himself. He then asked me to restate my car issues and quickly got my paperwork together. Before he pointed me to the waiting room, he asked me if I needed a ride anywhere. A complimentary ride! Coming from another dealership, it was a relief to see that there really is better out there. The location is easy to find, clean interior and exterior (even with this winter blizzard), and everyone I've encountered thus far is very polite and sincere. Post repair review: I recieve a complimentary ride home and back again after my vehicle was repaired. I also recieved $100 OFF my almost $1,000 bill (very niceof them, huh) and was signed up for a Heiser rewards program which gave me 5% back on my next repair. The repair rep was very sincere in pricing and whether or not I should go forward with certain repairs considering my vehicle's age/mileage/price. The only complaint I have is that I did not recieve the complimentary car wash...I realize it is freezing outside but it would have been nice to have a water wash and a quick towel off. Last week however they were not able to get to the scratches on my car & I was asked to come back before 4p the next week and they would take care of the scratches for no charge. So I took off a few hours today to have it done- to be told they could not buff them out that I would be provided an estimate for body work. Can't believe I left work early for this!!! I bought my used 2014 Chevy Impala a few months back , they told me it had been through a multi-point inspection and there were no issues with it. I've had a check engine light on the car for the past 5 mos. I haven't even driven it long enough to cause any major mechanical issues. I brought the car in multiple times for the same check engine light they told me there was nothing serious wrong with it & they couldn't find a reason of why the check engine light was on. I call and get the run around "There's not much we can do for you" And this is a Chevy dealership mind you. The whole reason I bought the car from Heiser is because I thought they were a reputable dealer and I didn't want to have this very issue. And to make things worse they sold me a warranty that doesn't even cover anything so now I feel like because I'm a young woman I got taken advantage of. This whole process has been stressful. I had a good experience buying my car. I bought a 2016 Chevy Cruze and Paul let us take it for a test drive on our own, which was nice! He did not pressure us into buying it. The guy at the end with all the signing stuff was kind of rude and pressuring. However, I have not had good encounters since. I've been told for two months that my extra key fob will be sent in the month, but I've still not received anything. I have called and been hung up on and not had my calls returned. Paul said he would send it in the mail so that I wouldn't have to make the 40 minute drive to the dealership, but it now looks like I have to anyways because I cannot get a clear answer. Already posted one review but I felt like I owed it to Rick to post an update. Long story short, bought a certified Camaro from Taz and he was outstanding in helping me. Everyone there was just great. Taz would not let me leave until I showed him I knew how to work all the gadgets in the car. Got home to find the car had the wrong tires for winter. Called the next day and Rick told me he would help me to get into the right tires. He made good on his promise and probably helped more than he needed to.
