Very disappointing customer service at ALDO in Coachella. I don't know if customer service just…read moreisn't being taught anymore, but the lack of initiative and basic problem-solving was frustrating. The female cashier who initially helped me seemed completely uninterested in finding a solution. Instead of trying to help, asking someone else, or looking into other options, she was very quick to say "no" and came across as rude and dismissive. It felt like she could care less whether my issue was resolved or whether I left satisfied. Thankfully, the manager stepped in, actually listened to the problem, and was able to handle the situation which only proved that something COULD be done. I appreciated the manager's help, but customers shouldn't have to ask for a manager just to receive basic customer service. Employees should be willing to take initiative, problem solve, and at the very least treat customers like they actually want their business. Very disappointing experience. And sadly, based on the attitude I experienced, I wouldn't be surprised if this review is seen and nothing changes. That's exactly the problem. Customer service requires actually caring about the customer experience, taking initiative, and making an effort not just standing behind a register and saying "no."

This is the second time I have seen employees taking prime parking spaces that ​could be reserved for customers.​ In a busy lot where customers often have to park at the farthest end, having front spaces occupied by employees for entire eight-hour shifts significantly impacts the customer experience. Most businesses designate specific parking areas for their staff to ensure convenient access for shoppers. I hope ​Ralph's management will consider implementing or enforcing an employee parking policy to keep the front spaces available for your customers.

While walking out I turned back to say that the way she was acting was not acceptable and I didn't appreciate being barked at. Mind you this was a 59 cent water refill. These experiences has made me not want to go to a Walmart and I'm actively looking for my shopping needs at other places like Amazon and Aldi. Debating on 2 different alkaline countertops for my 18 wheeler rather than go in to Walmart just to buy faulty equipment that won't turn on/can't return or being harassed after walking out being accused of stealing something that isn't even worth a single dollar. Adding to the mess is asking for a manager and being denied.... This happened at around sunset on the 1st and the water situation happened the day before around the same time if anyone from corporate actually cares for their business and wants to do their job and investigate. They have a variety of fresh produce, flowers, alcohol, masa, butchered meats, bakery items, fresh made tortillas and so much more. They have a section for ready made food and juices. For the ready made food section, customer service was a little slow. We came in the morning when it wasn't too busy. Otherwise, the employees we encountered had good customer service. It's nice and open.
