Peppino's is hands down my number one pizza spot in NYC. As a homegrown New Yorker, I've sampled countless Italian joints over the years, and nothing compares to Peppino's--right by the last stop on the 2 train, on God's back :) . For over 20 years, their consistency inf food and service has been unmatched and the pizza is delicious, can't lie. I can't speak for any pizza with chicken on it, but every other pie is always spot on. I'm also not big on calzones and that sort of thing, but the garlic knots and pizza are always a winner. I will admit, it's been about a year since I've been here since I've moved to another area, so this review is based off of the countless times I've visited up until 2022. I don't care what the reviews say, this was my SPOT. Not only was the pricing very decent (Again, this was pre-pandemic so I was paying about $2.50 a slice), but the quality and size was INCREDIBLE. This spot was definitely one of the most popular spots, right off of the 2 train. I can honestly say it was ONE time I ate pizza here where it didn't taste fresh and was greasy, but every other time the quality and pizza was A1. This was definitely my favorite pizzeria when I lived in the area and I visited it a lot. I definitely have to come back so that I can update this review! Hopefully it's still up to par as it once was (Though current reviews seem to state otherwise). I know a lot of places fell off post-pandemic, so I'll definitely give it another spin next time I'm passing by the area. read more

Truly a neighborhood gem. While the pizza is always fresh (depending on time of day you come in), the cashier is extremely friendly and remembers your name! They also offer other dishes at reasonable prices. When it comes to deliveries, they're usually on time, and the pizza is still steaming hot! The only thing negative I will mention is when it's during the school year, the high school students who come into the pizza shop after school are loud and rude sometimes. Kinda annoying. read more

Had no problem until tonight when I ordered 20 piece wings w/ ranch & an order of garlic knots that come with marinara sauce. My wings came with the marinara sauce but no ranch or garlic knots. My husband called back to tell them about the mistake & the lady yelled at him saying she know hes lying cause they don't even have ranch. But on my receipt it clearly states ranch. We've order from them before & never food missing so why would we make a fuss out of nowhere? She was rude & unprofessional. I guess we have to take the loss but it's the principal of things. I been in this place few times in recent week, they have new items such as chicken garlic tomato slice pizza it was very different and delicious, the service fast and the pizza was hot and yummy,now when I say service this is delivery and pick up restaurant, they have few table but don't expect full service dining here , the food and drinks are very great , I never had a problem with staff then I really don't care about service much , I highly reccomend this place for quick bite read more

I've been eating at Peppinos since the early 1980's Till present. The pizza was always great in addition to their calzones . I'm shocked at all of the haters . I've been a Bronxite for over 30 years and Peppinos has always been a great Pizzaria which I support. Peppinos now has a Yonkers location which I will support. Jersey pizza shops are still winning! The pizza was okay. We ordered delivery, but it took over an hour. When the pizza arrived it was cold and the pepperoni wasn't cooked enough. Definitely had to throw it in the oven. It was still good. This place won on the salad though. Normally, I never get a yummy salad from a pizza parlor. Luckily, they redeemed themselves with a crispy fresh house salad AND deliciously seasoned grilled chicken. I'd give them another chance though... read more

First time ordering from here figured I'd give it a try since I live in the area. The pizza came with half the cheese off and it was on the top of the box instead. The worst! Two weeks ago we ordered for the first time. Part of the order was left off. Pizza was mediocre, but ok. So we decide to give it another shot this week. Pizza came cold and burnt. The box was crushed on the top so the cheese topping was stuck to the top. Never again. read more

I purchased Pizza from this place. In the middle of the regular slice, I bit into a rusty screw-like metal that was about 2 inches long. When I brought it to the attention of staff. I was offered $3. This screw could've ended my life, and Peppino's didn't care! Is this how customers are treated? Why would a disgusting piece of metal be inside a slice pizza? read more

I haven't tried the one in the BX since they just opened one in yonkers. I tried it yesterday and I thought the pizza tasted great. Only thing I would change is the dough should be cooked just a bit more to make sure the cheese doesn't slide off when eating. The guy that was there was very attentive and the service was quick. I absolutely love this place. The woman that I have had an experience with was amazing and funny and even though the price went up from $2.50 a slice to $2.75 for a slice, the nice amazing Hispanic lady made it wonderful for me to go there and eat and I would've even given her more of a tip if I could. During the late 1980's through the early 1990's my friends and I would take a ride from upper Westchester down to the Bronx to have what we considered was not only the best Italian food around but good Italian food with reasonable prices as well as good service. Imagine my surprise when last week we stopped by Peppinos for the first time in many years and the experience was the complete opposite. It seems to me that they are under new ownership, which in itself is not they issue. The Stromboli was extremely greasy, the pizza crust was so doughy I had to ask if the slice had been cooked. The prices are not resonable, the service was filled with attitude, not a smile or thank you. I am extrememly disappointed and can't fathom how they manage to stay open. Needless to say we will not be returning. At least we have great memories of how they used to be. read more

Also please forget about tasting any of their dishes/pasta/Sandwiches! They use to be so good. So my guy and I just flew in from Texas and we had to get some New York style pizza! My cousin picked us up from the airport and he suggested this place I'm actually glad I didn't read the reviews because this place is amazing! We ordered four different types of pizza which was pep and sausage, all white pizza, veggie and chicken! I tried everyone except the veggie (that one was for my cousin)!
