It's impossible not to love the pepper pots breakfast, with delicious fluffy scrambled eggs served all day. For 6-7 euro for a meal that will fill you until dinner , you're getting decent value for money. Although it might be taking my love for these eggs a bit too far, I have tried to inquire about what it is that makes their eggs so delicious, but to no avail- (I have however found out that surprisingly they don't use cream). If I were to rank this on it's breakfast, it would get the 5 stars but unfortunately the value for money for the rest of their dishes and the quality of sausages and sandwiches lack the perfection 5 stars deserve. Don't get me wrong, they serve tea as it should be served, in individual little saucers and tea pots. And I actually have never had any of their sweet stuff to be able to pass judgment. But I just find everything else (outside of their eggs of course) a bit overpriced and underwhelming to warrant the fifth star. The atmosphere overlooking the powerscourt centre sets the perfect tone for posh afternoon tea however, with their food served in lovely crockery you can't help but feeling oh so sophisticated. I love going to restaurants or cafes where every thing comes out of the kitchen and you see it infant of you. Their breakfast/Brunch is my favorite and the granula yogurt is something. I love the fact their serve tea in vintage china and the whole theme of the place has this english tea room look. The hot chocolate is rich and delicious,and i would recommend it. Plus, Their soups are really good,I am a big fan of their soups and my favourite was the bumpkin soup which comes like any other soup they make with a brown seeded bread. read more

What an adorable location inside a beautiful building. This cafe is inside the Powerscourt Centre. I had the Victoria sponge based off of the reviews. Loved this place! It's inside the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre building; I don't think you'll see a sign for it outside, so look for a grey-brick building with steps and open double doors and pop inside. It's an open layout inside; kinda feels like an inside market, great atmosphere. The food and coffee was wonderful, as was the service. Their dishes have wonderful combinations, and they have all-day breakfast! I got the special, which was a tuna sandwich with avocado on focaccia bread, from heaven. Simple, but delicious! I'd come here all the dang time if I lived in Dublin. read more

While the decor and presentation at The Pepper Pot is unquestionnably lovely, I can't say I'd be raving wildly about the place to friends. The food took quite a whole to come out considering it was just two salads and we'd purposely gone before lunch rush-hour. We both got the Salad of The Day which was strawberry and halloumi -I loved the interesting mix here! Yum yum yum. This place does amazing breakfasts and sandwiches. I've never had a salad but heard they are great. Bonus points for it kind of feeling like you are sitting outside even when the crummy Irish weather doesn't allow for that. This place is very sweet and perfect for a little lunch on a shopping day. You get a great view of the centre courtyard in Powerscourt and the decor is very quaint and cute, with little China print mugs and mis matching table cloths. I had the Pear and Cheddar sandwich with a mini Parsnip and almond soup, it was all to die for. The bread was thick and soft and full to the brim with tasty fillings. The soup was also delicious and a nice addition for just an extra €2.50 My friend was vegan however and the menu had nothing to offer him, unfortunately. He ordered the Hummus bagel without goats cheese, which for €8.50 was absolutely tiny, not worth the price tag. The service was nice although a little over attentive. We were asked if we were ready to order several times by different members of staff before we had the chance to read the menu. I really liked my lunch here and I will definitely be back! read more

Loved Pepperpot Café! Located in the Powerscourt Town Centre, the atmosphere is open and quaint. Mismatching tea cups, and brightly patterned tablecloths give a charming vibe to this small café nestled in the courtyard facing section of the shopping center. I visited in early February: I ordered a soy cappuccino, and the bacon & chive cc bagel. The bagel was massive (filing for sure) and the apple-tomato chutney was amazing; it complimented the bacon perfectly. I didn't save room for a bakery item (but man, did the display attract me!). This is one of my favourite spot all over Dublin. Pepper Pot is located into the first floor of the Powerscourt Centre and the location it is particular because it occupies the corridor of passage from a zone to the other of the commercial center and it looks at the atrium with the tables prepared in file of two leaned out to the balcony, small but functional. The kitchen is inside but it's simple to have a close look inside:) The particularity of this place is that the tea, the coffee, the soups, the sandwiches and the sweets have served in ancient dishes and teapots. Menu is various and rich and the dishes are abundant and well presented. Everything that goes out of the kitchen of The Pepper Pot is homemade and the choice depends on what is in season. Soups are fantastic and economic (4.50 euro comprehensive of homemade bread, sandwiches with homemade bread are big and completely filled and also the salads are delicious salads. The sweets are simply marvellous and many of dishes are available also in gluten free version with a small charge. The Pepper Pot is a brilliant place in the heart of Dublino and it's ideal for a lunch or a brunch in summer and in winter. read more

I've been going to The Pepperpot Cafe on and off for a good few years now. I definitely free that they are deserving of a full house of stars. The guys there are always so friendly, despite how frazzled they can be at times (it's usually pretty busy!) I have gone through phases of the scrambled eggs with bacon or mushroom, as well as the seasonal tarts they offer. On Sunday's I get their French Toast with Bacon and Maple Syrup. And don't get me started on the sweets, like Chocolate Biscuit Cake or those Scones with whipped cream & jam.... Tasty stuff! I don't see them wrapping up any time soon, as they've a pretty loyal following and sure, tourists have the likes of Yelp to show them the way. It's definitely not the cheapest in town, but when it's all as fresh as this, I'm happy to part with the few extra quid :) read more

My mum and I had just trekked through the pouring rain after visiting the Trinity College Campus right near by and coming into this lovely little terraced shopping center to see The Pepperpot on the top right was just what we needed. The faded elegance of the Powerscourt Townhouse makes for an atmospheric setting, and there's something about the oddity of the layout that I like - the fact that you are having your coffee on basically a landing. The fact of wedding-dress-wearing mannequins just to over to your left like fancily attired headless waitresses. There's that mix of bizarre and old-world that makes this an interesting place, and as a cafe that runs along one of its well-worn landings, the Pepperpot hits the right note. Every time I head in to town during the day I say to myself "I'm gonna try somewhere new today." But my feet always carry me to The Pepperpot, and with good reason. Everything on the menu is DELICIOUS. I love their scrambled egg, but also the black pudding pear and cashel blue salad, and their coffee and their cakes, and and and!! The servers are attentive and friendly despite always being run off their feet, tis a busy spot. I can't think of anywhere I'd rather sit to eat my lunch either, the vantage point for people watching is unreal!! The Pepperpot is one of a number of restaurants and cafes around the sides of Powerscourt Townhouse. Although quite open I always feel it's quite cosy. It's close to my workplace so I've been here a number of times. What do I like about it? The tasty and interesting flavour combinations in the sandwiches, the large pots of tea, the all day scrambled eggs and of course the cakes. The portions are decent. I've always been the comfortable side of full after lunch here. I need to give a special shout put to the mackerel pâté with pickles and a salad. Normally I detest pickles with a passion. The pickles served alongside the delicious mackerel pâté and chunky filling brown bread are amazing. Give them a go even if you think you don't like pickles. I hope you'll be as pleasantly surprised as me. So why not five stars? It's cash only which I've forgotten on more than one occasion and the staff are pleasant but can be a bit slow. Great addition to Dublin city centre. Unusual venue, as the restaurant has all the tables on the first floor of the Powerscourt centre, all on the balcony. There is thought and care gone into this place. From the cute mismatched cups and saucers to the quality produce that is used in the cooking. simple and tasty, like eating in a friends house, who is a great cook. I am a big fan, and wish there were more places like this. Bibis on Emorville Avenue being another. Soups are great, homemade bread to die for, which you can buy, and it is worth it. read more

The Pepperpot Cafe is located inside the Powerscourt Townhouse centre and it's such a great little place to go for lunch or a quick coffee and cafe. Their menu is varied with so many tasty ideas, and they offer gluten free cake. Their Victoria sponge and biscuit cake are my favourites. The staff here are very friendly and the whole atmosphere of the cafe is very relaxed and homely even though you're in a bustling part of the shopping centre. Everything is baked on site, even their bread. Prices are good for this part of town. Most big meals cost approx 8€, and they give you plenty to fill you up. It gets extremely busy during lunch hour. I find around three o clock is a good time to go or before lunch hour , around twelve is also good. Overall - lovely good healthy food, well priced and comfortable . read more

I tried this cafe as their soups had been recommended to me. They offer a soup of the day, which for me was a courgette soup. I thought the soup was fine but not particularly impressive. I thought it lacked flavor and tasted much better after adding salt and pepper. That said, I did greatly enjoy my cappuccino. Although the tables are small and tightly packed, I found it a pleasant place to sit as there was a great deal to look at. The service was kind and attentive. If I had not gone in with such high expectations for the soup, I would not have been disappointed in the experience. I think it would be well worth trying again as they did have a lovely menu with many other options and rotate the soups daily. read more

I was here for brunch and my meal was really great. Also, we got there around peak brunch time on a Saturday and my party of three was seated immediately. I had the bagel with hummus, red pepper, goat cheese, and chorizo. It was delicious and really filling along with my Americano. We were seated around the corner, and our waitress was very nice but I did feel like our attention was limited due to where we were seated. Also, when we paid, the cashier seemed a little annoyed at our use of cards. However, its a cute atmosphere and my food was very tasty. read more

The only faults I can find with the pepper pot - and I'm quite the regular at this stage - are 1) how difficult it can be to get seating and 2) the fact it isn't open on Sundays, which I keep forgetting. The food is delicious (savoury and sweet), there's a decent amount of vegetarian alternatives (though they do go a little bit overboard with the cheese: just once I'd like to go out with a veggie friend in Dublin and have them be able to order something that wasn't drowning in cheddar) the mis-matched crockery is a bit avoca but not too twee (and nowhere near the price point of the avoca cafe) and all in all its a wonderful place. Only recommendation: please expand! A bit more seating and the ability to cater for larger groups are the only changes I'd like to see them make. read more

Had lunch here last week and I was very impressed. Very friendly staff. Great Coffee. A friend had recommended the Pear & Bacon sandwich and I was not disappointed. A very nice lunch-ing spot, although just a euro or two pricier than you'd hope for. The whole place is about 10 neat little tables with cute whimsical tableclothes on a balcony overlooking the open-air area in center of Powerscourt Centre (which is a petite version of a mall). This means the table is good for people watching and lingering. Sit over your organic, fresh, locally sourced soup, salad, sandwich or sweet treat with a pot of tea or coffee and savor some nice light as a refuge from the shopping madness that surrounds the area. read more

Went here on a rainy Sunday afternoon with a good fiction crime thriller for company. I was immediately greeted by the warm staff and was given a table. I loved the colourful table cloth and how it was different on every table. It gave a very homely feel. I ordered the Victoria sponge and a cappuccino. The sponge was light and the cream and jam filling inside, divine! Fairly average place that gets good reviews because it's kitsch and old style quirky Menu was boring and safe and quite uninspired, they say they make and bake everything themselves as if thats a ground breaking declaration Had roast pear and bacon sandwich, decent I suppose but nothing that you wouldn't get in a 3 star hotel somewhere, soup was poor hadn't been cooked long enough and their was water settled on the top of it as a result, tried to explain this to the waitress when she noticed I'd eaten a 1/4 of it, but may as well be trying to educate the brick wall. She still charged us though ! Typical Overall we found it very meh, no real cooking talent when you look past the kitsch. read more
