This is a small, open-air, locally owned business that specializes in produce, and I've been in…read morehere regularly for years now. The featured fruit and vegetables are organized in baskets or stacks, and the varieties change with the seasons. When you're here, you'll interact with the owner, who's a lot of fun to chat with. He explained to me once how the produce comes from different parts of the country as the seasons change. When things are growing in Florida, the bulk of it comes from there. As it gets hotter here and the plants wither, the produce starts coming in from Georgia, North Carolina, etc., before it cools off again here. Other vegetables (like celery) are wrapped up like you find in the grocery. It's VERY nice when I'm coming in with a recipe in mind, and I DON'T have to go navigate Winn-Dixie or Publix for that one last thing I need. Currie Brothers almost always has a supply of local honey available as well. This is a nice stop overall. You can get your veggies and fruit at Currie Brothers, pick up some fresh seafood from Kyle's Seafood next door, and if you're lucky to be there on a day they're open, grab some fresh baked bread from the bakery next door.

Currie Bros produce is ridiculously inexpensive and the quality is high (as in better than your favorite Publix). Lots of locally grown produce. Owner is great and friendly. It took me a few visits to realize that there are plastic bags hanging everywhere for you to put your goods in. As far as I can tell -- CASH ONLY. But you can stock up an entire week's worth of veggies for less than $20.
