We bought a couple of the apples (which we used to love) and they were hard and not as tasty. The chocolate was ...just ok. The original store would smell heavenly of fresh made pralines. The featured fruit and vegetables are organized in baskets or stacks, and the varieties change with the seasons. When you're here, you'll interact with the owner, who's a lot of fun to chat with. He explained to me once how the produce comes from different parts of the country as the seasons change. When things are growing in Florida, the bulk of it comes from there. As it gets hotter here and the plants wither, the produce starts coming in from Georgia, North Carolina, etc., before it cools off again here. Other vegetables (like celery) are wrapped up like you find in the grocery. They clearly haven't come straight from the farm, which may dispel the farm stand look a bit, but I actually find it a helpful convenience. It's VERY nice when I'm coming in with a recipe in mind, and I DON'T have to go navigate Winn-Dixie or Publix for that one last thing I need. Currie Brothers almost always has a supply of local honey available as well. This is a nice stop overall. You can get your veggies and fruit at Currie Brothers, pick up some fresh seafood from Kyle's Seafood next door, and if you're lucky to be there on a day they're open, grab some fresh baked bread from the bakery next door.

To order food, see the menu at the counter and pay. There is a small indoor seating section for eat in. Or just pick up at the kitchen window for to go orders. The fajita burrito was delicious. Too often the fruits and vegetables I buy go off soon after I've bought them. More troubling is how often they've already gone off by the time I get them. So far instacart, who does my shopping, has been decent about refunding those items, as long as I take photos to prove I'm not making this up. But I'm beginning to resent how often I need to call them on this.
