We appreciated that they had a little kids section that included coloring pages and crayons for the kids. Otherwise, this can feel like a hard experience to pull off with little kids in tow. We perused and smelled a variety of spices before making our final selections. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and eager to help. Here are some of the items we ended up purchasing: Dutch Cocoa, hot chocolate, Mexican vanilla, Herbes de Provence and Ethiopian spice mix. Overall, a great spot if you are looking for specific spices, stocking stuffers, or a gift for a friend who enjoys all things food.

Yes, they do actually have little cauldrons available for purchase, but they also have lots of crystals and gems, books on yoga and wellness, incense and holders, oils, jewelry, clothing, smudge sticks, tote bags, a few foods and beverages and lots more. The retail store is small but they carry a lot of goods made by local craftspeople and purveyors. You can tell that every single item on display has been carefully considered and lovingly chosen. The place smells heavenly, the lighting is lovely, and the air is peaceful in here. It's a nice place. I want to come back and attend one of the yoga classes that they offer each week. The seasoning has paprika, salt, pepper and a few other spices that stick to the light oil on the popcorn and make for the BEST snack. I also put it on avocado toast and also use it as a rub for any kind of meat. When arriving, I saw Amazing Hazel's van parked in the parking lot so I knew I was close. Upon walking in I was greeted by Dave, the owner and creator of Amazing Hazel product line. He was attentive and sweet allowing me the time to fully understand the heart and soul that went into each of his product offerings. He offers 3 different hot sauces, one to be a wing sauce in the future, 2 Bloody Mary Mixes, a spice mix and the legendary Chili Sauce. I walked out with the Chili Sauce and the Zesty Bloody Mary Mix. The Chili sauce is the name sake and reason why Amazing Hazel exists. Hazel was his grandmother and he stumbled upon her recipe after his mother died. Upon making the sauce, each bite was a reminder of tastes from his childhood. The Chili sauce is a slightly sweet tomato, green pepper sauce with chunks of fresh onion, peppers and onions. In your mouth it has a start of a sweet taste but finishes with a little heat. (Admittedly, I am a spicy person and did not find it too spicy). Chili sauce can be used as a base for sloppy joes, a topper for burgers, added to spaghetti marina for zing etc. I plan on trying it with sloppy joes myself. The Zesty Bloody Mary Mix is a thicker cousin to the original Bloody Mary Mix. There is not horseradish nor Worcestershire in either these mixes. Zesty Bloody Mary Mix has a tomato based mix with onions, green peppers, jalapeños, citrus notes and GINGER. For me, it will be served over ice, with Tito's vodka, celery and a crispy fried bacon piece (add blue cheese stuffed olives for the hubby). What I love most, is that the spicy can be made spicer with horseradish or wasabi, or it's fine for those with a milder pallet to have standing on its on. The ginger adds a layer of flavor that no other mixers offer at this time! Lastly, there are great gift box options for that tough to buy person. Amazing Hazel will customize and make suggestions to make your gift stand out. I could see these being great gifts for welcome baskets for weddings/showers/or best of Hamilton county bag. If you're interested, a recipe of the month is sent over email to all who are interested. This is a nice touch.

Popular flavors seem to be Market Square Mix, Sweet Heat (which I just tried for the first time this week), and Butter Caramel Crunch. Market Square Popcorn also offers custom tins and they have fundraising options (great rates for non-profits - you can keep 50% of sales. It's a great option to support local and raise money for your organization). The employees I've met have always been friendly. Like most popcorn, I tend to prefer it fresh and hot, however, even an experience like getting it in a goodie bag has been a positive experience. I recently tried the Sweet Heat and it really was a unique combination of a sweet taste with a definite kick. The tamales have the perfect proportion of masa to meat, and they are cooked all the way through and not at all gummy, like some tamales can get when they're not cooked properly. They have other tamales besides pork, but I was only interested in pork when I visited, so I can't tell you for sure what other kinds they have. This is also a grocery store, so there are lots of packaged Mexican foods here, as well as a small panderia with some bolillos and a selection of pan dulce. This looks to be a great place to find Mexican candy (Lucas, Tajin, tamarindo candy, those little disks of chalky peanut butter with the picture of the abuelita on them, etc.), as I saw a lot of different candies.
