That filter only needs to be changed every one or even every two years so just don't waste your money. They top off your fluids, which is good. Many places say that they do it, but here you're in the car so you see them do it. You don't know how many places I used (many dealerships) that say that they will top off your fluids and then you have to do it yourself the next day. Anyway, I like being in the car and seeing what these guys do. Recently, they started to also check your lights, which is great. They'll ask you to tap your breaks and turn on your turning signals so that they can make sure it's all working. Very smart and a nice touch. I wish they started to also check tire pressure. I always ask for it and when I do, they check it, but some of their guys assume that if I don't have warning lights for tire pressure then they can skip it, which I find ennoying - those things don't always work and do break. Not a big deal. Just ask them to check manually and you're good to go.

In the past, I could stay in my car, have the test completed in about five minutes, provide my VIN and mileage, plug in the reader near the door, pay right there, and be on my way. It was quick, convenient, and exactly why I kept returning. On my most recent visit, there were no cars in line and I was greeted as usual. However, I was told by the manager that I would need to exit the vehicle and wait in the lobby because they needed to hook up several wires to the car. I explained that I had always been able to remain in the car during the test, and that I was on a conference call and specifically came for the fast, convenient service. Manager Ryan was not rude, but he said he could not perform the emissions test while I remained in the vehicle and that I would need to wait in the lobby. Since I did not have time to wait for a test that normally takes only a few minutes, I went to Cason Emissions, just down the street. The experience was excellent: the staff member was friendly, I was able to stay in my car, the emissions test was completed in about five minutes, and the price was lower. I will be using Cason Emissions going forward because of the convenience, quick service, and ability to remain in my vehicle. I want to be clear that this review is not meant to reflect poorly on the technicians--they are all fantastic, and I've always had great interactions with them. My rating remains four stars because of the consistently excellent service I've received over the years. However, it appears the drive-through emissions policy has changed under the current management, so others may want to be prepared to exit their vehicle and wait in the lobby. Brought my parent's car and mine. Service is consistently great. Everyone is friendly, prompt, and helpful. I also really appreciate the two gentlemen that prep the car before it goes into the car wash. I've been to other car wash places that do the prep but it's not done anywhere close to how well this place does it. The car wash options are great and they do a thorough car wash job. The machines they use are of good quality compared to some other places I've been to that do not brush well or even brush my car at all during the wash. It's also clean, organized, and has nice cloths and filled cleaners available to use on your car in the vacuum sections. I also love how they still have a combo deal when you get an oil change. A free car wash comes with it. I highly recommend Duluth Car Wash for the great customer service and care for oil changes and car washes. Support local. Anyway, next on my list is registering my vehicle from IL to the state of GA. Predictably, I needed to get an emissions test done besides the other items on the checklist. I showed up here on a Monday morning and there was no line here. They took me in, set up my car, and within ten minutes I was out the door! This car happens to be headed North later this summer when my nephew turns 16, so he can have something to learn how to drive on, and also be able to drive him and his sister around so my brother and his wife don't have to. The point is, I asked a million questions of the technicians about getting my car serviced with an oil change and a quote on a possible brake job before I do give the car away. I'm one of those idiots that used to take his car to the dealership to get all service done. It looks like that's going to change. A reasonable price quote, and fast, professional service. You can't expect to get anything better these days. That's what you want. No muss, no fuss. I'll be back in a month or two to get the work done. Upon picking up the vehicle 5 days later, my mother noticed the brakes not working properly and not stopping. She decided to go to Mavis due to her not trusting Firestone anymore. Mike (Mavis service manager) took care of her and managed to call me to let me know that Firestone put my mother's life in danger by leaving the caliper pin bolts loose which caused the brake pd not to compress properly. He also advised me that the brake lines were not bled properly and the brake pedal sunk to the floor. I went into Mavis later that day to thank them for taking care of my mother. The staff here deserve medals as they saved my mother's life and they did not charge us due to Firestone's mistake. The world needs more honest and helpful shops like Mavis. I can not thank them enough for everything!!
