Simple as this, they forgot to do my oil change. I come by, I know sometimes they forget to call. My appointment was at 9. I didn't leave until almost 12. "We'll rush it so you'll be able to leave." Why would I want a rushed oil change? If you're able to rush oil changes why are most customers waiting an hour and a half for places like this to be finished?Needless to say, I'm late to work & very upset. I let everyone in the place know I was upset & I really don't care how they feel. Because they didn't care about my time. Update: They did not charge me and offered me another oil change on the house. This still doesn't take away from the fact that this was a complete mistake on their part. I totally should have looked at the reviews from the past month...they seem to be doing terrible. And please don't tell me to email customer service unless I'm getting a gift card for my inconvenience (call me entitled, so what.) I needed tires for my F250 pick-up to replace the 35" tall tires. I knew shopping around would be the only way to find what I wanted for a tread pattern and of course to save money. After receiving several quotes I pulled into Pep Boys and spoke with Matt the manager. After stating what I was looking for Matt gave me a quote and I said thank you and proceeded to the door. He asked what he could to have my business and I replied save me money. Not only did he save me cash but he recommended other tires that were a little more but he charged me the same. I love these tires! While they were installing the tires I observed the daily operations of this facility. I am very familiar with cars and how to repair and what is required. Not only did they treat each customer with total respect whether in person or on the phone they did not try to sell unwarranted parts or labor. The goal was to only do it right. They finished mounting the tires on my truck but the mechanic did not like the wheel weights they used because they rubbed on the brake caliper and it was closing time. Knowing I was going to use my truck on Sunday they said they would get the proper weights and deliver my truck to my house. They drove me to my house and went above and beyond customer service to do it right. My truck was delivered to my house at 8:00 p.m. Having taken courses on customer service with my employer I observed supreme service and team work like I have never seen in any other car service center including dealers. I am one who will write or call when service is bad and the need to be noticed but I can only say Matt and his team at Pep Boys are very few and far between in true customer service. The manager there Brian showed me exactly what was wrong with my tailpipe on my 4 runner . He ordered the part it was in the following day. It took All but 20 min to fix.. Just wanted to say thank you to the employee for a job well done.. Will recommend this place of business.. Great service and friendly employees they care about you and your vehicle. read more

Could not have been happier with the service. I brought my car in thinking I needed both front and back brakes/rotors. I was told that my front brakes were okay but I needed new calipers in the back, in addition to the brakes and rotors. I okayed this replacement. Then I received a second call from Chris telling me that the service tech had taken the calipers apart, lubed them and that they were working. I was not charged for this service on the calipers and was saved around $300.00 by not have to replace the them. Chris/Brian and all the rest of this team have a customer for life. This review is for the tire service. I came in on a SUNDAY (this is the second time Pep Boys bailed me out on a Sunday). I was greeted with enthusiasm from the clerk and manager. We selected the tires I needed and they had them delivered within a couple of hours. Here is the kicker, I had a vintage truck I had to bring in on a trailer and we had to change the tires without removing the vehicle from the trailer. Everyone jumped in and helped out. This store went ABOVE AND BEYOND in making sure that I was able to get the tires off the truck safely, they also made sure the old wheels were cleaned/de-rusted to ensure a good bead and ensure everything went back together correctly. They did not have the correct valve stems in stock for my wheels. Instead of making excuses, the manager sent one of his guys out to get the correct ones ASAP and had them in a few minutes. Excellent customer service, attention to detail and enthusiastic crew. I was floored quite frankly and will be going there again. THANKS! read more

I can honestly say that I went expecting unsurpassed customer service. The service manager listened to my concerns which I appreciate, he asked me when I needed my truck back I thought that was cool. There are a couple of things that happened to cause the service team there to fall short of my expectations. First of all when my truck was gonna stay overnight no one called me to let me no what was going on. I called the day I dropped it off to get an update on my truck and was told that someone would call to give me an update on my truck. Day 2, I'm still expecting a call but don't get one so I call to get a update I was told it will be ready in 1 1/2 hrs. Midday comes around and no phone call, so I call again then the person who answered the phone said its ready and it's been parked ready for pick up. So I go down there to pick it up and I'm just waiting, they don't welcome me there. It means a lot when a customer walks in and are greeted. I ask a tech what was wrong with it and he says I didn't work on it I'll ask the tech who did to let me know he never came back... I had to ask the guy at the front desk about what they did to my truck when he was busy trying to ring me up an out of there... I just hope that my experience there at pep boys can be turned into a training session on what not to do. I work for a company that has a huge fleet and will recommend to not take our vehicles there. I am so dissatisfied with there customer service and have fallen short of my expectations. read more

The first time I came to pep boys was for a oil change not to long ago and waited 2 and half hrs for a filter for my car (which I called in two days before to make the appointment) and the costumer service was horrible. Plus I was over charged and the 19.95 coupon from the site wasn't counted so I over all was set on never coming back ( a heavier set white dude is who I delt with ). But I decide today I would call make the appoint and check to see if they had my filter in stock for my oil change, they didn't but instead of making me wait hrs they'd call me back when it was in and I could come right in. The oil change was done super quick, Giovanni was by far the best person with answering my questions and keeps such a positive attitude like outstanding customer service. He's the reason I will come back to pep boys because he knows how to interact with costumes unlike some of the other employs read more

Friendly, helpful, honest staff, fair prices -- i had a great experience with Pep Boys. I had gotten my car inspected somewhere else, and they wanted to do about $2,500 of work on my car. All I actually needed was my tires replaced, which I was able to get much cheaper at Pep Boys with their online deal. Pep Boys did an inspection and they made sure to look at all the things the other place said I needed replaced. They were really great at explaining what my car looked like and when things might need to be replaced in the future. They could have so easily ripped me off by just confirming that they noticed the same things as the other shop, but instead they were honest. All-in-all, I spent less than $400 on good tires and a cabin air filter that needed to be replaced, and I'll get free tire rotations and road side assistance for the life if my tires. This same work would have cost more at the other place, without the rotations and roadside. Also, they saved me from paying for another $2000 worth of work that didn't actually need to be done. Staff was great. I'm do thankful I took my car here!! read more
