Took my car to Fox tires & Auto Care because my Lexus was wobbling right to left when you would drive on a straight road. Victor told me it was rack and pinion + CV axel boots. Charged me over 12 hundred for new parts and they didn't even fix my issue. I took it back and he wanted to examine my car further because he read through lexus forums and said my problem is common. I refused didn't want them touching my car anymore. Would not recommend this mechanic to anyone. read more

While driving I noticed my car was bouncing. Pulled over to find one of my tires starting the shred! I needed a new tire fast as I had a bunch of errands to run all day. I drove down the street and saw the sign for Fox Tires and decided to check it out. Monica was so friendly and helpful. She looked at all my tires and told me I needed them all replaced, but let's do the important ones first. She replaced two tires, include the shredded one and rotated them for me. Everything took less than 30 minutes. I had my 2 year old son with me and he played in their little play area. Great experience and I will be back for the other two tires and brakes soon. read more

They could not align my 96 Honda Civic Dx after 5 attempts same pulling to the left...and would not refund my fee. Instead attempted to sell me a camber modification kit for $300 SMH So...I went to American Tire Depot, Lemon Grove where I should of gone in the first place. 1st attempt aligned and oddly I did not need a $300 camber kit?? $80 alignment verse a $99.95 alignment. Got my brakes changed and tire alignment, they took care of everything quick and cheap

I brought my car in with an engine light on and he charged me 80 bucks to pull a code. This wasn't a diagnostic this was just a simple code pull. Then he told me in addition to a sensor that would need to be replaced the car needed all the coils and plugs replaced. He didn't do any tests or even open up the hood to look at the engine to make this judgment call. In addition they were going to use aftermarket parts. I wanted to use this place because it's so much closer I usually go to a really excellent shop it's farther away and I called them up to double check. This other shop pulled up my records and they had replaced the coils and plugs previously and the plugs weren't due for replacement for another 10,000 miles. They also said they pull codes for free. Lesson learned. So I have to go a little farther to get work done but at least I know they're honest. Be careful - my experience is this shop will want to do a lot of unnecessary work using aftermarket parts. They also charge a hefty service fee if you want to pay by credit card. This practice is becoming more and more common mostly in smaller businesses but I thought in this case it was just another indication of their priorities. read more

I called ahead of time to see if I needed to schedule an appointment before dropping off my car. Monica told me I could show up anytime on Saturday, but she recommended going as 8 before everyone else drops of their car. It was nice to drop off my car with someone that explained everything that was about to get done to my breaks. You can just feel how trustworthy they are. Brought my lifted truck for an alignment and still pulled to the left. Explained everything, redid it and still pulls to left. Did it 4 more times but still no luck. I was done with this shop when he told me that my truck will always pull to left because it's AWD (seems he didn't want to deal with me anymore). Took it somewhere else and they were able to fix the problem. Fox wasted my time, wasted money, but was determined to fix it. I don't like that I repeatedly came here. HORRIBLE!!!! I came in for a routine alignment and the guy (owner) told me I needed to replace my upper control arms before he could do my alignment. Brought it back for him to do and as soon as I left the shop I noticed my truck pulled to the right a lot & it didn't do this before I brought it in. Long story short I brought my truck in 3 or 4 more times I lost track & he couldn't figure out the problem except told me I needed more things fixed in order to fix my alignment. At this point, I went for a second opinion. Went to Clarence Brown Alignment in Claremont area. In less than an hour they told me what the issue was, there were two left upper control arms installed. I went back to Fox tires to let him know and to give him a chance to fix the issue he created. His answer was they were wrong and didn't know what they were doing. More words were exchanged but in the end he wanted me to pay him more money to fix things he thought was the issue. I ended up going back to Clarence Brown and paying them to fix the issue Fox Tires created. After a few hours, my truck was fixed!! I will never go back to Fox Tires & if I were you I wouldn't either!! read more

Monica, receptionist, was very friendly and got me the information I needed on the spot. She gave me a price quote that I needed in hurry as I needed to have a tow truck drive to their location at that moment. Once I arrived Victor, mechanic, installed my new tire quickly. I would highly recommend their service and will be coming back in the future. I have a BMW and my tire was $40 out the door with installation.
