I've been coming here for couple years now for used tires and all I gotta say is they are the best that I've dealt with. I usually try to buy new tires but I had a front end problem that was wearing my tires unevenly. So I think when these wear out, I'll be ready for a new set of 4. Most of the used tire shops around town will tell you they have your size, and when you get there they only have 1 tire or, they are so worn you can't believe they want $40 a tire for them!! This place, they ask you what size, then usually have at least 2 matching tires that are in good condition for $35-40 a tire. And they last you. One of the front tires I bought here last summer and still looks great. I think next year I'll be buying a new set of 4. They told me they could get new ones for around $80 each. These are truck tires for my little 94 pickup! Not bad at all! I'll continue coming back for tires and or repairs! read more

I absolutely do not recommend this tire shop! They are rude very nonchalant and will argue with you instead of just simply trying to fix the problem that they created. I came in on Tuesday for two new front tires. One Mechanic told me they only except cash which was fine I was going to walk across the street to get cash I come back in a second Mechanic comes to me and let me know that my lugs were stripped And that the only way for them to take them off would be to break them and call AutoZone for new ones. I agreed simply because I badly needed to tires and waited an hour for AutoZone to come and bring the lug posts. Once they were done with that they charge me 130 for two new tires and the lug replacement. Upon leaving the tire shop I noticed a very grinding noise coming from my front but by the time I was able to make it back to the tire shop they were closed. I called the next day and told them of the issue and they told me to come back. I came back and one of the mechanics took my card for a drive and noticed the sound also. He told the second mechanic and as they both looked at it they both agree that it was a grinding disc. I had never had a noise prior to taking my car to this tire shop and it was so coincidental that the noise came from the same front tires that they changed. They argued with me for 20 minutes before even saying they would fix the problem. They told me to leave my car for three hours and they would fix it. I get back to the tire shop and they tell me To test drive the car and to come back. The sound was gone and I told him it was fine the mechanic then told me that he was losing money for not charging me for the service after I already spent $130 the day before so I absolutely was not going to pay any more money especially since the problem didn't occur until I went to them in the first place. He didn't advise me that the owner did not want me to return back to them for any other services from this point forward. I would NEVER go back! read more

I bought a 2 used tires for my BMW for $50 each back in April, My sister needed a tire for the rear and I recommended this place for her so I called ahead and spoke to Sona (sounded Indian), I told him she had a Hyundai Sonata and he quoted me $40 or $45 for a used tire, when she got there he charged her $60 and she called me after he had installed it, I called him angry asking him why paid $50 for a larger 18" wheel and why he charged her more and he asked me who helped me (as if the pricing changes depending on who helps you) I told him to do better than that and he said that if I didn't like the service to just not come back, great customer service! This place suck, if you want good new tires go to Value Tire on 56th and Funston or for used tires World Tire on US 1 in Hollywood. read more

Long post - TLDR / short summary: these guys are dishonest. Works for some people but overall I don't recommend this place and support dishonesty. Go at your own risk. I was looking around for tires and contacted Elys as one of my options. Their original set of tires that I had inquired for was bridge stone which i asked for tread life and the seller said it was at 60%. I decided to look elsewhere on offerup and found a set and told the Elys seller i wasn't interested anymore but he asked me if I'd be interested in a set of tires of the same brand with 80% tread. At this point, 80% tread isn't bad and it was only $20 more than the 60% tread so I agreed to it. After some thought, I was thinking of possibilities that they might just sell me the 60% tread tires but marked it as 80% and with a higher price so I decided to ask questions when I go to the shop. Arriving early morning, Christian (the salesman) takes me to the inquired set of tires and I asked "these are the 80% tires, right?" And he responded "around there". I asked "how much was it again?" And he answered $180 When I asked where the 60% tires where, he avoided the question and said that he had to go. I already made the drive down south and i was on a spare so I decided to just take it. When Christian came back, I asked him once more where the 60% tires more and he got nervous and said he had brought it to another location in the morning. How convenient. He also drove a small civic si coupe and it's possible to fit all the tires in there, but its really impractical. Once I got home, i checked the tires more clearly and really were the 60% tread tires. Overall my experience wasn't that great and as the other comments say, these guys are dishonest to which I agree. I took the $20 loss and decided to just leave a bad comment for them. read more

I was looking for a used set of tires. I found this place on Craigslist. The guys who worked there were nice. I found a set I could live with, but for some reason the Owner of the place would not make a deal. Now I like to barter. There is nothing wrong with it. Who doesn't feel better if you get a price that you like to pay for a used product. Well this owner would not accept my offer even after I increased it and I tried to throw in my used once which definitely still had some life in them. I already had done some research on used tires, and I advise you to do the same. Where do these guys get the tires from? I can't say for sure, but the Junkyard is my bet. So what you think a junkyard tire is worth. I am willing to take a risk on a used tire no problem, but I expect the price to reflect this. The owner here wanted to charge for a set of 4 $400 all inclusive. I wouldn't go for it. Now I have a pair from another place close by, brand new, exactly of what I wanted for a bit more than $500. So guys and girls, do your homework. For this outfit, the only good was that the attendant was great. He was quick doing a tire, he knew what was in stock, but he could not do a deal, because the owner was in church and texting from church isn't the best communication practice in making a deal. read more

The owner has some tires advertised on OfferUp, so I message him about them, and he says they're in great shape with more than 50% tread still on them. I tell him I'll be in for sure to come get them, and even keep him updated on the time and I'm on my way. So I get there and he shows me some garbage with the sidewall all cracked and less than 10% tread left. I asked him where the ones were that were advertised, and he tells me he sold them even though I told him I was coming and they're still listed online as unsold. He then proceeds to show me a bunch of tires I don't want, and that don't even fit my truck trying to weasel a deal out. Such a waste of time. This guys time probably isnt worth very much, because he definitely doesn't value anyone else's. So shady. They guy there suggested I get washer for the lugs so I did and they put them on for free. I also noticed a nail in the tire that I must have picked up and they patched it right away, no charge. Okay so I have the PT cruiser as our extra car. I let the alignment go bad and it ruined just the front 2 tires. I searched all over and new tires sound great at first but it adds up after disposal, taxes, mounting, balancing, rotation, whatever, hazmat, seems to be a new charge every time i get tires. I found this place on craigs list, called them up to price 2 tires and see what the deal was, a friendly voice answered and let me know he could help come on down. I get there and he has 2 almost new tires, he said 80% but it was more, i'm not stupid i know tires but the guy was just a nice guy and not trying to rip me off, very important business factor. You can see there was no dry rot, I didn't have matching tires as far as brand but they almost matched tread perfect and had my size in stock. They were done fast, said 20 mins, took less. The tires were brand new folks. 2 "used" tires mounted, everything for $70 for my small car. I was so pleased with their business, and their professionalism I decided to start a yelp for these nice guys. Mike the manager i guess, was very professional, and respectful. The place was clean. First off, found the specific Michelin tire I needed on offer up. Ad was specifically made for the tire size and brand. About an hour of communication back and forth and came to an agreement. Pulled up and brought my wheel in and was just under the assumption all was good. 45 minutes after waiting they come to me stating that they do not have the tire. Were they searching high and low through their very unfriendly, unprofessional environment? NEGATIVE. First of all, false advertising? Second of all the "manager", Anna that apparently ran the Offer up could not speak well English (in which I have NO problem with), a young (friendly) gentleman stepped in to translate for her. So where my problem continued and fueled was when he started the response with a somewhat intimidated face because he had no idea what was going on. "Ok I'm going to translate what she was saying on a NICE way." Translation was basically "take your shit, you don't want problems". Might I add, I've received tires previously same brand, seamlessly for the same amount. They basically tried to up-sale and draw in customers with false advertising. Luckily I did not risk driving my beamer there, instead, brought the tire there. Had I risked driving, they would have put me more in danger and my wheel to keep driving around on it (if I didn't have the appropriate help I needed, that is). It wasn't about the $10 more they wanted for a different tire, it was the principle, the time invested, the false advertising from a post that took an hour of my time (in addition to the other, almost hour there pointlessly). Very unprofessional. The fact that she had the nerve to say "you don't want any problems" ) 'you' as in ME. Trust me, honey. You should be glad I left just so I can go to a better tire shop nearby to write this review. Matter of fact. I left your place 15 minutes ago and my tire is just about done. This is only the first you'll be hearing from me. Until I speak the the REAL manager (NOT Anna). This yelp review coming from a TRUE professional. Just left this tire shop and literally I just got jipped. I've came before and every used tire I've bought from this place was 25$. I paid 35$ this time from a guy I never seen before named Pedro!! For some reason I felt like he thought I didn't understand Spanish but little did he know I'm fluent. He was trying to up the price by telling he's fellow co worker that if he said he balanced out my tire he could get it up to 45$. Luckily I did mention that I've boughten tires here before for 25$ and the co worker mentioned that to him and made him realize 35$ already was high but still Pedro still charged me 35$.
