My daughter dropped her small, compact car off for AC freon add and an oil change. They charged her $475.00 for those TWO items...they tacked on a 35.00 shop charge AND 99.00 "diagnostic" which they did NOT tell her they would charge that.... I am disgusted. Most pep boys are run by fair and honest people. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE! OR IF YOU DO: WATCH THEM LIKE A HAWK! Changing my review to three stars. Can't recommend this location or company. Better off going to Tires Plus. Dropped my car off at 9am, not ready until 1pm, had an appt and it was a simple oil change with tire rotation. It was a Tuesday, so not a busy weekend day. They do not offer free tire alignment checks nor do they show all the inspection that Aaron, a front desk worker, said that appointments don't guarantee that your car will be taken in at that time. It just means "the next available slot". Whatever that means? Terrible experience. Go down the road to Tires Plus. There were multiple customers in line here too and some were complaining as well. I just went there today- DO NOT go. Maybe it was because I'm a girl or they're really uneducated, but I had a screw that went through my tire yesterday. I knew it could be patched and Todd looked at it and said it couldn't be and I needed a whole new tire. I left, went a mile down the road to BCQ where my tire was patched in 20 minutes. This location was okay. Nothing special and they did the repair on my car but I would say it took a bit longer than normal plus cost more than if I did it myself. The only reason I took my car there was the low cost of the tow if you are a loyalty member. My car would not start and we thought it was one bigger problem... had the car towed... they took 6 hours to finally tell me it was just a bad battery... 6 hours. They replaced the battery (something I would have done myself if I thought it was just that) and charged my twice what I would have paid if I did do it myself. But... it is fixed... and working again. The one strange thing I did experience was when I got back to pick up my car, nobody was there. All the doors were open... but no employees were there. After about 10 min, the service guy drove up in a car that he was testing after he repaired it... but he was the only person working at at that time. weird... I have done business with a few other Pep Boys in the area and found their service to be better but again, I needed a cheap tow and these guys were the closeted to my home. read more

I arrived at the location at 3:10 for a 3:30 appointment for oil change/tire rotation. Asst manager did not acknowledge me at all, but did to men that came in. Walk ins were served before my car; in fact the oil change didn't start until 5:00 pm when my car was the last one. Finished at 5:30. 2 hours for a simple oil change and tire rotation when I was on time for an appointment was ridiculous. They did find a nail in my tire which they charged $26 to patch. I don't have issue with the quality of work, it's just very poor service. I won't be back nor will I recommend to family in the area. read more

This is the most reliable and honest mechanic shop I've ever taken my car too. These people were very honest and told me the difference between getting something done now and if I wait. They realized I was looking to be as affordable as possible and the Manager Michael dropped the labor cost almost to nothing to accommodate me. Yogi was extremely courteous and professional and found my tiger was literally seconds from completely popping and he showed me so I knew he wasn't telling a story and I could witness it myself. I didn't even realize that. They have my business as long as I live in the state of Florida. They literally saved me and my family from what could've been a horrible accident. I'm More than thankful. These guys are amazing. I ordered tires online and Mike gave me a call the day before my appointment to let me know they were in and I could move up my appointment if it was convenient. It turned out I picked the wrong trim for my car and ordered the wrong size tire. Mike went to another PB to grab the right set and was great about trying to find tires for a real close price match. Yogi checked me out, also a great guy! I'll never go to another auto parts store. If you need service, trust me, come to these guys. This location did a nice job on fixing my 2012 Chevy Cruze brakes. They were extremely honest to talk me out of a complete new set of pads and full brake job and simply cleaned my rear brakes and turned the rotors in front as well as flushing the brake fluid lines! The Chevy dealer wanted more than twice the price. My only negative comment is that they were a little slow, but careful. read more

I had an appointment initially scheduled for 5, I called in at 12 noon to cancel, due to an obligation I had at 5. Eric, the store manger insisted that he could schedule me for an earlier time, and stated anytime between 1 and 2 would be fine. We arrived at 1:38pm only to have him rudely stated that he wouldn't be able to look at the car until 4. That's approximately 4 hours and was cutting into my scheduled meeting. WHATS THE PURPOSE IN SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT ESPECIALLY WITH THE MANAGER if you're not going to adhere to the proposed time????? As he was coming up with excuses for wasting my time coming out there, and lying about the estimated time, he began to SHOUT at me and MOVE his hands back and forth!!! When asked, "To lower his tone as well, and cease with the aggressive hand and head movements." He rebutted with the statement, "I'm Italian and this is how we communicate and do things!!! I know really kind Italians, that are professional, I also stated this to him. I thought this was rude and absurd. A mere apology would've been sufficient. We left and the assistant manager came outside after us to insist on our waiting, so that she can adjust the fleet to squeeze us in next. He came out about two minutes after and shouted, "THEY ARE NOT JUMPING IN FRONT OF THE WALK-INS, BECAUSE THEY WERE HERE FIRST!" It's was very belligerent and belittling to his employee and also, my partner and I. Two of his mechanics apologized after overhearing what transpired. We ALSO had to wait an additional 45 minutes to receive an oil filter, as they didn't have the particular one needed for my vehicle. I asked him if he had every part and fuel needed to complete the oil change PRIOR to arriving when rescheduling and he insisted that he did. However, he didn't. He refuses to go pick up the filter and an employee from an alternative location had to bring it. He was asked by the assistant manager if he would and passively dismissed her, yet left the location for about 15 minutes, as if he were going to, and came back with a drink. Furthermore, he sat in his white CHRYSLER 300, for about two of the hours were there claiming to be on a conference call. We MADE HIM AWARE on the phone of our engagement and he lied and said he would have us in and out in an hour TOPS. He NEVER RENDERED AN APOLOGY contrary to his employees. Someone with more patience, consideration, Customer service TRAINING, and professionalism; should be IN THIS MANAGERIAL position. All in all, we were there from 12:38 to 4:33 for a freaking oil change. So yes I missed my meeting. 100% honest, go to another place maybe pay 20 dollars less but they will tell you for brakes your rotors or drums need replacing vs turning, they are very honest, in fact the 1st time they told me I didn't need anything so I came back with another car and they just did what needed to be done, so 100% trustworthy highly recommended read more

My brakes were squealing pretty bad so I decided to stop at Just Brakes because I was passing by. Michael, came out of the bay to assist me before I even got to the front door. He was very knowledgeable and helpful while trying to save me money but get me safely back on the road. Anytime I had a question about the truck he would be more than glad to help and share his knowledge. the squealing ended up being a bent rear brake pad, so he changed those out. The front brakes still had enough brake on them to not change. I was even told I could rent the far bay lift for a low price if I ever needed. I would use them again if I ever need mechanic help. read more

After having the wrong Spark PLugs installed in a Miami Store when they should not have been replaced (with ones of lesser quality and not for that vehicle), Mr. Michael Ferrino first apologized for the incompetence displayed by the Miami Store and quickly had the correct parts delivered and installed, his immediate response to the urgency of the situation showed a true concern to my dilema. at no time did the subject of any payment come up, on the contrary, he was apologetic for any inconvenience Pep Boys was causing in the interference of my weekend vacation and constantly asked if there was anything he could do to help aleviate the situation. I was out and back on the road within 2 hours. Moving foorward, I will be driving to Michaels store (4 hours) for any work needed on my vehicle. It would be wise to give Mr. Ferrino the Manager recognition (perhaps a substantial Bonus) when Pep Boys recognizes Employees that truly represent Corporate Goals. read more

I wish zero stars was possible. on April 4th, I just went in for an oil change. The manager came in asked if the steering wheel shakes and was there noise coming from the front right side? I said no its driving fine. He said they found "play" in the right front wheel bearing. It would need to be replaced, it could cause major damage, and the tire would fly off while driving. He quoted $800+ to fix. I said no, he became a dick immediately. When I drove off my steering wheel began to shake wildly and noise was coming from the right side. The tire pressure warning started going off on my dashboard. What a coincidence! I pulled over to the nearest gas station. They had an electronic tire psi machine, and the front tires both read at 15 psi. When they should be around 36. Which is part of the serve of an oil change btw. So they let air out so the car would shake like that, thinking I would go back and get the wheel bearing replaced. I called Maitland Importers, my mini guy, he looked it over and said the wheel bearing was fine, all it needed was a new tire. They lied and tried to rip me off. He warned me about Pep Boys, and how dishonest they are. I will never go back, please beware. read more

I recently had to have my front brakes replaced and chose JustBrakes due to the convenient location to my home. Our situation created the need for a 2nd visit which initially frustrated me due to time and the possible need to spend more money on repairs. However, I stopped in without an appointment and Tim took my vehicle in right away and repaired the issue without charge. I was in and out in 20 mins. Car repairs are usually such a hassle and expense... but this particular experience left me leaving relieved and with a sense of trust. We know that we will have to have the rear brakes replaced within the year and are happy to return to JustBrakes for this procedure. read more

DO NOT GO TO THEM!!!! They will not admit that they are not very familiar with ALL vehicle models. They do NOT admit that theyade mistakes, they are cowards!!! I took my cadilliac in for service. I told them the condition of my car prior to they little service they provided. Bottom line, they ha NO BUSINESS service my car bc they did not understand all the intricate details of my car and engine. Their lack of knowledge caused they service to blow my engine and heater-cord. They should have never serviced my car from the beginning!! When I asked them to fix the heater-cord, Tim (the manager) admit that he Dowan not know how to repair it. He's repairs OTHER models but unsure for mine. These guys don't know ANYTHING other than changing breaks!!! They advised me to drive my car (Which was not under any condition to drive) to a full service center.y car was smoking both inside and outside of my car. No one offered to help me drive or move the car a block up the street. Incompetence and the lack of technical know-how 2. Why did they work on the car without informing Me of the risks and that they lacked the knowledge. 3. Lack of assistance: When there was coolant fluid leaking everywhere inside of the car, the employees of Just Break did not help me get to another shop that they recommended to repair me to car. 4. Why was I not recommended the other car repair shop, prior to working and charging me on the car? 5. Safety: I had to drive the car, while there was smoke emitting from inside and outside the car, in a pool of coolant, and continuous leakage of coolant inside the cab; to the other car repair shop that Just Breaks had recommended. 6. Lack of integrity and understanding: After making the Cadillac inoperable (I had brought it in just to get it serviced), the employees of Just Breaks were not willing to reimburse me for the breakage of the car, nor were they willing to refund the money paid for the so-called servicing of that car. read more
