Just had the best experience at This location! The staff was so friendly, and extremely helpful. I just needed a headlight and tail light replaced, but having no experience with fixing cars it was a large task for me. I stopped in to see if they could help me, or at least give me guidance... But what I received completely exceeded my expectations. There was a very long wait to get into the service station, which is understandable because it is a highly traveled holiday weekend. So the general manager Bob, fixed it himself! I was able to drink a delicious cup of coffee while I waited, and was on the road in no time at all. I highly recommend this location! Went to Pepboys on my lunch. I was having trouble with my van staying running. Battery alternator I wasnt sure. I stood at the service desk for 15 minutes to wait to be seen. Then I was told 50 min before they could even test it. I understand I need to wait to install the batter or the Alternator but 50min for the test? I went to Advance Auto Parts on Middlesex Ave in Medford they waited on me right away and installed the new battery I needed right away... Try Advanced first especially if you dont have more than an hour to waste. read more

I went into pepboys for the first time on a saturday with no apptoimtment, unfortunatley the new/used car i bought broke down and left me 7mths pregnant and stranded with a car that wont start. luckily i went to pepboys i was towed in and nancy helped me. i was very updet but thanks to her great customer service and attitude i felt better instantly, she told me not to stress or worry and she would do all she could to have me up and running again. and she did! she took me in the shop showed me what was wrong fixeed it and i was good to go. thanks so much youve earned a customer for life! im telling everyone i know about my awesome expierence read more

I stopped at a pepboys in Everette Mass and might I say had the worst first impression. Customer service at this store is awful. I went in today and what I saw was dreadful. People working at this store were just fooling around and not being helpful at all. Never have I gone into a store that had poor customer service that acted childish. Never will I ever step foot in that store. employees fooling around , just horrible. I rather go to advance auto parts or some other place where employees take their job serious. read more

I was a long time customer of Pep Boys in Everett, Massachusetts for years. They used to be a reliable place to get car repairs at a reasonable price. Not anymore. I called them a couple of times to get a price quote for some repairs needed and was quoted different prices each time. One quote I was given for struts was $700 to $900, and was quoted $1,300 for the same thing 3 months later! Seriously? I had the same repair made to my car for $600 at one of their competitors. Most recently, I called Pep Boys to ask about a car part that they sell online for $39.99. The person on the phone said they add another $40.00 to this same part for a "warranty" if you have it installed. What a rip off! I strongly advise that you avoid Pep Boys and go somewhere else, especially if you're a woman. They've lost my business for good! read more

First, I only selected one star because there is no "0" option. What a waste of time. I ordered 4 tires with installation online Friday, received 2 separate emails stating that the order was complete and that the scheduled appointment was confirmed for the following Wednesday morning at 8am. Arrived to the pro boys at 750 to make sure I was first (didn't want to waste time). The doors opened on time (I guess that justifies the one star rating). As the service employee greeted me he asked my name and he immediately informed me that they did not have my tires. I promptly asked them why they didn't notify me. He says "we did". I asked, when? He said a few minutes ago! I looked at my phone and I had a missed call at 757am. Wow! He was very rude and could care less. I was told to call customer support. So I did, what a mistake that was. The first representative hung up on me. The second call to them was better in the sense that they didn't hang up. After an hour in the phone I stressed that they just need to get the tires asap. At this point I realized I had to wait and it is what it is. I was on hold for 20 minutes while they contacted the manager in Everett. After holding, the customer service rep said the best they can do is sell me a different tire. What a joke this place is. I told them to cancel my order. I called Sullivan tire in Somerville and had the ties ordered with a confirmation date of arrival for the next day. Never again .... read more

I went here a few weeks ago for an oil change because it was the only place open on saturday. Their 29 min oil change really means and hour and 30 minutes, even when you get there upon opening of the store. I had to go back here this weekend because my car broke down and it was again a friday/saturday thing. Pep boys was open saturday and i had originally bought my last battery from pepboys but in FL. I had tohave my car towed from boston to this everett location to be worked on. They told me over the phone it is 15 $ to CHECK the batttery! I was like i can go to autozone for free and they check it. But i would have had to get it towed there and they dont do work there. so i found myself ending up to go there. I did my research before i went the website says FREE PROFESSIONAL BATTERY TEST, when you have your pep boys rewards card, so i go in and tell them i want my battery tested my car is dead....They say battery and alternator test is guna be 15$ im like ok i have my card it says it freee. they are like who said that. I'm like it says it online on the website. After they didnt believe me i showed them and they agreed. As I waited......They finally came over said it was indeed the battery, i needed a new one. i'd have to pay for labor. Then i said ok well this coupon says its free installation- so i got it put in for free. After they pu t it in they say now i need a new alternator! WTF you told me it was the battery now its both? So they end up putting the wrong alternator in making me waste more of my time and said i needed a new belt, end of story i had to pay 618$ and the cash register lady who was a old midget and had a rodent nose was such a bi@4h and woudlnt let me LOOK at the copy of the reciept i signed. I flipped out. NEVER GOING BACK .. yah its open on the weekends but horrible customer service, they can't install stuff correctly or do tests correctly, they guy didnt even know how to put in the coupon or write anything up on the computer. eff that read more

Arrived around afternoon to check my car because it had a problem going up to speeds of over 60+ MPH. The car would shake. I was told a half hour I would receive an answer. Waited the allotted time. I waited over 30 mins and then I had to ask them. They said i should be able to hear something in 45 minutes to an hr. I went around the area to grab breakfast. And when I came back which was almost another 30 I waited and took a look around the shop. It was still me that had to ask them what is the status on my car. I don't even know why I gave them my phone number. So around 2 hrs and 1/2 I was able to get the car in the shop. They had a look at it and told me I needed this and that etc. but the main thing was i needed new tires first in order to get a tire rotation which is what I originally came for. After everything was done they gave me estimate of 1250$ to fix everything. Keep in mind this is a Mercedes. So after the shop I wanted to think about it and consult w someone first. But I still needed to get new tires. So I did and for 126.00$ my car is fixed just like that for 1/10th of the price.. In short. I'm not a car person, but I do know exceptional customer service when I see it. After two outstanding experiences with the folks at Pep Boys I have no qualms about taking the car into the shop whenever it needs it. The most recent trip was due to a total systems failure in our car and we were expecting it to cost an arm and a leg. It came out costing about 10% of what we thought it would - they called us later the same day with the quote and said it would be done by the next day (turns out it just needed a new alternator). When we went to pick it up, the price was a bit higher than the quote I got on the phone but since it was so much cheaper than we expected it to be I was more than happy to pay it. But when I mentioned that the price was different, the manager came by and took care of whatever it was that had changed the price and we ended up paying $5 less than the original quote! As long as my car can make it there (on its own power or via AAA tow) I'll be taking it there for all of our car needs. read more

YOU'LL BE SMART TO AVOID THESE GUYS! The Pep Boys automotive repair on Route 16 in Everett, Massachusetts USED TO BE TRUSTWORTHY and have good dependable service, but NOT ANYMORE. Took my car that was stalling frequently to Pep Boys. They said they changed the alternator, but I know they didn't. My radio and clock in the car would have needed setting, and remarkably they were the same as they were before I left the car with them. The car continued to stall afterwards. Had it been repaired properly, it wouldn't stall at all. The vultures tried to use my return visit to sell me a tune-up and say the motor was skipping. I may not know a lot about cars, but I know the difference between skipping and stalling. I also know when I am being handed a bill of goods and someone is trying to take me for a ride. Pep Boys never did it before, but they have changed and they do their best to take advantage of women. What a rip-off - and all at a price tag of over $300.00! Don't know how they stay in business pulling this kind of crap. Won't go there again, and I have been going there for years. They have lost a good customer. The staff is not the same. These guys are all new and a bunch of punks. Trust me, stay away! read more

Went in this morning as soon as they opened to see if they could repair my tire that had a screw in it. Turns out they could not repair it because of the placement of the screw which we had already knew since my brother is a mechanic and already made that assumption. So we asked the women at the counter how much it would be to buy a new tire and have it placed on the car, she gave us a price and said they would start working on the car as soon as possible. They get the car in the garage and put it on the lift. We think they are about to start putting the new tire on until the women came over to us to tell us that they did not even have our tire in stock. We wasted 25-30 minutes there waiting and they did not even have it in stock. I am confused as to why they could not tell us that before they decided to grab my keys and take the car into the garage. I will never go back to this pep boys for any of my tire needs. read more
