Very disappointing experience with Hertz Delray Beach…read more I reserved a Tesla Model 3 through the Uber app because it showed one was available. When I arrived, there were no Teslas. Jasmine offered me a Polestar as a temporary solution until a Tesla became available. While we were inspecting the Polestar, a red Tesla actually arrived. I made it clear that I wanted that Tesla because I have a Tesla charger at home, and she said she would contact me as soon as it was ready. I emailed her my phone number when I got home so there would be no excuse for not reaching me. Instead, I later got an email saying the Tesla had already been given away and that I would be stuck with the Polestar until the following week. That mattered because the Polestar would cost me about $45 every time I needed to fully charge it at a public station. Since I rented through Uber, those extra charging costs on top of the rental made the deal nearly impossible to justify financially. Hertz did absolutely nothing to make this right. Even worse, the local branch does not answer the phone, so everything had to be documented through email. Do not advertise Teslas as available if you cannot provide them, and do not promise customers a swap if you have no intention of following through.

They charged me $30, for $6 a gallon, gas(filled it up with more than I picked it up with) and a $30 "courtesy fill up fee". When we returned it, refused a receipt, said it was emailed. It wasn't. I went to Uhaul SE 6th Street in Delray Beach at 3pm the next day to pick up Uhaul. The male employee was there and said that no trucks/van's were available and the one I reserved did not come back. The male employee was extremely rude and simply asked, "What do you want me to do about it?" All other Uhaul rental locations were closed in my area and the employee said that the one truck that they did have, he could not rent to me. How about letting me know this before coming in to location to pick up Uhaul? Customer service went out the door with me and I won't use this Company again.

As soon as I walked in, Andres was extremely rude, stating "he didn't know the rental had to be clean" for me to check out. I asked if there were other cars available/ready since I need to get to work, and he refused to check, stating I need to wait for the mini van to be cleaned even though the lot is completely full with different options. I rent from enterprise often, but this is the first time I've had such a terrible customer experience.

Now these guys aren't the cheapest mover but the most reliable, fastest and most efficient. I got the quote from their website. It was so easy to get the quote only few clicks and we got the quote. First they came to our house 3 days before the move and examined our house and give us the amount it will take for the move. At moving day around 9 am a truck arrived at our doorsteps. The crew consisted of 4 guys. everything was wrapped in blankets and tape- so no scratches or scrapes to the furniture. They handled everything with care and moved stuff in and out efficiently like pros even with the stairs in both residences. When we reached our new home they helped us unpack our stuff and even put together my new bed frame for me. I'm a very picky customer with very high standards, and I was extraordinarily pleased with my move. If i am pleased i am sure you will also be pleased. Well, this is one of them, only much worse. The initial quote was less than 3k. Then it doubled to 6k. Then it tripled to 10k. It's a total SCAM. After we paid the non-refundable deposit, it was so difficult to get ahold of anyone at the office to find out when our things would arrive at our new home. We were told the movers were driving our things from Florida to Philadelphia on a Friday and they would arrive on Sunday (it's a two-day drive), so we left on Friday as well, driving the two days up there to intercept them. They did not show up on Sunday. They did not show up on Monday. They did not show up on Tuesday. It was a nightmare! They finally arrived with our things on Wednesday after we had to go without our things for three days and the head mover was gruff and rude and did not apologize at all for our things being late. When they first picked up our things, they had already loaded them onto a truck that was much larger than we needed because they were moving other people as well. After they drove off with our things, they reloaded them onto an 18-wheeler for some reason. Then they realized that they didn't have anywhere to park their 18-wheeler at our new place, so they reloaded our things again onto a smaller truck. So when they finally arrived with our things, they demanded another $550 for them having to move our things from the 18-wheeler onto a smaller truck when we never asked them to load our things onto an 18-wheeler in the first place! What was even worse about them reloading our things from one truck to another and another (and charging us more for it) is that a lot of our furniture was damaged or broken. The items in my filing cabinet were tossed around as if it had been in a tornado or an earthquake. I have never had this happen before in my life! On top of that, the filing cabinet was dented. This is an metal filing cabinet that was wrapped in a blanket! It was as if they deliberately went out of their way to damage it. So, we basically paid them a lot of money to damage and break our things.

On 7/1, as I was leaving NY already sitting on the plane I searched on Priceline for a 13 day rental for Boynton Beach and Enterprise showed availabilty for a Compact SUV. I reserved it. I headed straight from PBI to the rental location to find out that they had NO cars available and that other people are waiting for SUVs to come in too and that I should call the next day to see if anything is available. The manager said that unfortunately there is nothing they can do. The next day I called and nothing became available. I went back to PBI the next day and picked up a car from AVIS without any issue
