I had a very disappointing experience at this Enterprise location. The branch closes at 6:00 PM, and I called ahead to inform them that I would be arriving a few minutes late due to traffic and weather. I was told it would be fine. However, when I arrived at 6:06 PM, the employee I had spoken to was still present but refused to assist me. Instead of honoring what was communicated over the phone, he immediately said it was past closing time and that he could not give me the car. He was also rude in his tone and dismissed the situation by saying he had been working an 11-hour shift and needed to go home to his family, then walked away while we were still trying to speak with him. I understand policies and closing times, but the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and dismissive attitude were unacceptable--especially after I made the effort to call ahead and was told it would be okay. This experience reflects very poorly on customer service at this location. I hope management addresses this so other customers don't face the same issue. read more

I left my review regarding my TERRIBLE experience at enterprise in Delray Beach, Florida, dealing with the manager Bryer who scammed me out of $1,000. Enterprise responded conveniently to my review saying someone from corporate would be in contact because "customer care is of utmost importance to them." I have not heard back from enterprise since! This company is deplorable and I would recommend NEVER renting a car from here, unless you would like to get scammed out of money. I am a 24 year old in college who got taken advantage of after I got referred to enterprise by Geico after I got rear ended by someone and was not supposed to pay a dollar. I was coming in to do a vehicle swap and Ryan the manger told me that no enterprise does that when I specifically told him that I just rented out of Tampa and swapped at a regular branch( not airport) for a different car. He told me he can't do it and it was never done just shooed me off and told me "there's the door" and I asked him to show me in the policy where that is true and he couldn't. I told him I've been renting from enterprise for 10 plus years and was never told that u can't swap out cars. We are visiting FL to see family, and reserved a car with Enterprise to drive across the state from one set of grandparents to the other. I chose this company and branch specifically because they are very close (10 min according to Google maps) to where we are staying and offered pickup service. I called the branch the day before to confirm both car and pickup availability. No problem, I was told. The next day - problems! First, there's pickup issues - apparently now I'm outside of their pickup radius? And then, there's no suitable vehicle - would I be interested in stuffing my family in a coupe for a 4 hour drive? But the worst part was how it was handled - with promises to take care of it and then putting me on hold and completely ghosting me until the branch closed and no one was answering the phones. So, thank you Brian and Christina for ruining our trip. Based on this experience, your new company motto should be Enterprise - we'll leave you hanging! read more

Enterprise was kind enough to pick me up where I dropped my car off for repairs and took me back to their office to get my rental. When my vehicle was ready for pick-up, I returned the rental, and Enterprise drove me to the auto body shop to get my car. Both gentlemen were kind and provided great service in extremely clean vehicles. The rental was a reasonably priced compact car. The office runs pretty smoothly. Lots of rentals happen there because at the time, almost all their cars were already off the lot. I do recommend them. I have rented cars from this location a few times. Enterprise Rental Car I would not recommend this company I waited 55 minutes for a pickup, made three calls each time being told he'd be there in a few minutes. Ultimately got a ride from the body shop to Enterprise where it was chaos. When an agent and I went over the status of the rental before I took possession, damage on the car did not match that on the Enterprise log. On returning the car they could not give me a copy of final bill as their system was down. I overheard an employee say to another, this is happening all the time. I was never offered a ride back to the body shop where my own vehicle was, I walked. read more

This is the absolute worst enterprise I've ever been to not to mention in my opinion the company is poorly managed. I had an appointment at 12:30 for someone to pick me up to get my rental. At 1:00 they still weren't there. I called and three different times someone told me they were on their way. No one ever arrived. I eventually had business to take care of and so I went by enterprise when I was finished. Incompetence is the main theme of this place. I am appalled. I am not one to write poor reviews but Hertz would never be so incredibly disorganized with such poor customer service. read more

This is the worst enterprise rental place. We spoke to the guy at the front desk on the phone picked the car we wanted on the phone only to find out when we got there he had no cars. He had six people waiting for a car that he didn't have and he closes at 2:00. How was he going to get anyone a car within two hours. On top of that he was nasty and tellin me it's only a reservation but how do you ask us to pick a car a Toyota or an Impala we chose the Toyota when he didn't have any cars!!! The main reason for my 2 -star review is that I was given a car that seemed to have mechanical issues - vehicle handling felt loose, brakes and steering wheel squeaking incessantly - and I didn't feel safe on the road. I hope my review will prevent this from happening to anyone in the future. Excuse the essay. I made a two-day reservation for an intermediate car while my car was getting repaired. The manager was pleasant and efficient while completing the rental process. After everything was confirmed, I asked what my options were based on the cars available. He told me that he is not sure what would be available to me and that I need to wait to see how things panned out. Fine. After me, there were two persons, without a reservation, who went up to start their rental process. He showed them two cars on the lot - a Nissan sedan (Altima or Versa) and SUV/crossover (Kicks?) - asked which they preferred and they chose the sedan. I noticed it because he told me just minutes before that he wasn't sure what would be available. He eventually advised his coworker that I needed to be assigned a car and I was offered the Nissan SUV that was offered to the ladies who were processed after me. I am not comfortable driving SUVs, so I told him that I need a sedan. I told him a Nissan sedan would be perfect, I have owned Nissan's before, but he said none were currently available, so I got a Chevy Malibu. It had some front-end damage (pictures attached - taken while I was inspecting the car), I asked if it was in an accident, but I don't remember the guy's response. I left with the car to attend to some errands and within a few minutes, I noticed there was a lot of squeaking when I pressed the brakes and turned the steering wheel. I thought that maybe the brakes were recently adjusted (I know very little about cars) so thought it would eventually stop. It didn't. I called the location to advise, there was no answer, and they were closing within 5 minutes or so. Called Enterprise customer service to advise I got a car with issues, felt unsafe, the location was already closed, and I needed to have it on file. Given case # .. I also e-mailed care@enterprise.com advising them of the situation and attached my rental agreement and a video of me driving the car where the squeaking /sound was loud and apparent. I had to adjust all my plans for the day to return the car. The manager was apologetic, went to test drive the car, and said the little squeaky noise wasn't really a big issue (paraphrasing). Eh, I sent the video to several people, and they were shocked and appalled that I got such a rental car. He really tried to make it up to me, which I appreciate, but I cannot get over the potential safety issues. I have mostly used Enterprise in the past, but now I don't feel comfortable renting from them. I never write reviews but, because of the service I've received each time visiting this location, I will. All of the guys here are amazing. Friendly, personable, and professional. They are always looking to improve your experience and make sure you benefit in each and every way that they can professionally provide to you. I'm often renting vehicles and in doing so, have used several rental companies; this one is the only location that I trust and respect and I don't plan to take my business elsewhere any time soon! I reserved a car almost a week ago and 20 mins before I was meant to pick up and 1 hour before they close they call me to say they don't have the vehicle I reserved. 20 mins before closing they called me and told me to come get my car and they would close late if necessary to wait for me. They brought a car from another location more than 20 miles away. Nice Pre-Christmas gift. read more

We are on vacation here from Canada. We had an engine problem with our vehicle. MB recommended this location as it is close and they deal with them . our situation was very upsetting and frustrating. the staff here, Emanuel, Verna and manager Kadian went a long way to making things better. Th only vehicle that was available was a van which we took. It was clean, sanitized and ready in a few minutes. Not our ideal vehicle but it did the trick. BIG SHOUTOUT TO " WILL" AT THIS LOCATION. I've been renting from enterprise for years now at locations all over South Florida. No one has ever treated my wife and I with the amount of professionalism and respect that Will did. He went above and beyond not only for my wife and I but for every single customer on the phone and in the store despite him being THE ONLY EMPLOYEE in the store at the time - closing time at 1pm. Still took his time and gave it 100% with every single person. If we had salary cap space in our company, we would have offered Will a position immediately. Point blank. Simply put, this man is a top level executive in the making. With the 15 minutes that I had observing this young man, I can tell that he understands what it takes to run a successful organization - and it starts with the customers. Never met the guy before nor am I paid to say this: Will is the reason why enterprise I jumped to the #1 spot on my list of rental companies when I need a rental for my business. Reserved a car before I left New Jersey. Got here and tried to pick the car up and they tell us we need to have a credit card because we have an out of state ID. No one told us this before hand so we were stuck standing in the heat with no car. Guy at enterprise also said no rental car company in the area would take a debt card. Went to Avis in boyton beach and they took our debt card no issue. Don't waste your time with Enterprise. read more

I had a great experience at this Enterprise for my quick 3 day rental during my last visit to Florida. Brandon helped me quickly and got me out the door fast, not only that, but he offered me an upgrade in vehicle class for a price that was more than fair. Upon returning the vehicle, I was assisted briefly by Brandon and another very nice female staff member whose name I unfortunately didn't catch. She gave the vehicle a quick once over, told me what the final charge would be (which was as expected), handed me my paperwork, and I was done. For both visits I would say I was in and out in less than 10 minutes each. The way the staff at this location operate should be a model for other locations. To anyone leaving a bad review complaining about fees you weren't aware of or add-ons you didn't ask for, I'd make sure you read up a little bit on what you do and don't need when you rent a car, and check if your insurance company covers you when you're driving a rental. If they do, theres little need for you to take their additional coverage. They won't tack extras on without you signing for them, so at some point, you agreed to those charges. read more

Horrible! The woman behind the desk was rude, claimed we didn't have a reservation, and could not be bothered. Due to her lack of help and lack of customer service we will not be going to any other future enterprises. Show up for our 1 o'clock reservation..car is not on the lot! Their inventory does not match up with what you order online. Never again will we use enterprise!-especially this location. Avoid at all costs. Customer service is unprofessional and they do not accommodate you regarding your rental car. They expect you to figure out what to do. They don't even bother getting in touch with other enterprise locations to find you a car. Waste Update: I emailed enterprise customer services as suggested by the person that commented on my original post. My email to enterprise was on 4/8/18. I was contacted on 4/9/18 saying "Thank you for contacting Enterprise Rent-A-Car Customer Service! My name is *********, and I will be happy to assist you. We have forwarded your message to the office of our General Manager. Someone from our staff will be in touch with you." I did not hear from anyone so I emailed back on 4/12/18. Then on 4/15/18 I was emailed "I apologize that you have not received an update yet. I've resent your message to the office and someone will be contacting you. My experience with this location was bad -- given the number of car rental companies in the area, I'd stay away. In mid-November 2019 I rented a car, which began shaking the same day I drove it off the lot, at around 20/30 mph. When I brought it back, staff promptly swapped it for another. Three days later the store calls to tell me it's filed an insurance claim against me. When I point out that they did not ask me if anything happened, or ask when the mechanical issue started, the staff apologized, saying they'll reduce the penalty charged to my credit card from $500 to $100. I reiterated I didn't damage the car, to which the store manager told me someone from corporate would be in touch in the next two weeks on the pending claim. Gross incompetence, or a shakedown, I don't know. But it's a headache. Now I'm waiting to hear back from my auto insurance company on next steps. If you go with them, I hope you fare better. read more

I rented via Expedia. Expedia charged me $40 for insurance. The young girl working wanted me to buy more insurance but $ is tight and no, I had already to my knowledge. She insisted I get my Geico card - which I rarely have to do to get a car especially since I bought the insurance. She would not take no for an answer and invented scenarios where I would be paying for daily garage bills from the wreck she invented in her head. I am stressed from many sides and she was unfriendly and negative, bossy and uninformed. Expedia said my bill would be $185 and i knew and they always take 200$ to just hold. So they held $350ish, and I had the option to "void." There wAs no mention of a 5 day wait. I had to cancel my plans to get another rental with almost $400 gone . I can't tell you how much she truly ruined my day. I'm still upset. read more

Rented from Enterprise NE 6th Ave Delray.- Awesome experience from start to finish. The team here are fabulous - clearly they have all worked together a while and know their stuff - use this branch - seriously ! Premises are clean, staff are super friendly and super fast with getting you in and out your car. Derrick thank you for sorting out the slight hiccup at the beginning and your patience when I was about to have a melt down forgetting that the $200 pending charge was just the deposit. Harrison thank you for driving me back to my car. Will absolutely refer and recommend this branch to everyone. I will absolutely be back - i wont be using another branch or company from now on. To those who posted negative reviews - i strongly suggest you double check whether or not you posted under the correct branch - because both times I was there for pick up and drop off - there were loads of other customers and not one customer seemed upset or unhappy or put out. Worst experience renting a car. They just don't care or know how to try to make a paying customer happy. I had a reservation with a budget of $75 per day. Called 2 days prior to confirm. I was told they don't have my class of vehicle except an exotic car that's not in my budget. I tell them that I'm not paying more than $75 because that's what my insurance pays per day. They tell me we can get you a suburban instead. I agree and ask them when they close. I show up 1 hour before close they tell there's no car for me because my reservation was transferred to a location 30 miles from my home that is closed today... If that's not enough then they tell me that the only cars available are 10 miles away but they don't have time to take me. Since I was dropped off I was left standing by the side of the road. After my Kia Forte was involved in accident driving home from work one night, the folks at Classic Collision and State Farm, my insurer, worked hard to ensure things went smoothly and their booking me of a rental car at Enterprise on 6th Avenue in Delray was no exception. On the recommendation of Classic and State Farm, I went to this branch and on a late September morning, found myself here after Classic dropped me off. Once at the branch, I found the customer service to be outstanding, as Spencer, the Management Trainee (I hope he becomes a Manager he is great!), Kaylee, and all of the other employees were warm, welcoming, and efficient, even though they were slammed thanks to a shortage of rental cars as well as many other customers coming in from various body shops in the area. Everyone at this Enterprise worked hard to ensure customer satisfaction, always making them feel like they were the top priority and by doing their best to match them with car comparable to what they drove when possible. While I had to wait a little bit since they were short on cars, Kaylee matched me up with a Nissan Altima, which ended up being an excellent choice. While I was originally offered a Dodge Charger, which I love as it is fantastic car, I turned it down as I feel I don't have quite enough experience driving it yet, since I don't get to drive my Mom's Charger R/T that much. Anyway, I digress. Once I had my car, Kaylee proved to also be very patient, taking her time with me by doing a thorough inspection of the car, so any of the minor cosmetic damages were reported and I would not be responsible for them, which was nice. Also, I appreciated that she did not try to upsell too much, especially on insurance. Once that was finished, I then got in my Altima, which I also must add was immaculate and save for minor cosmetic damage, was in excellent condition and ran very well for the almost month I had it. Kaylee's pick of an Altima was excellent, as it rode well, had responsive handling (not as sporty as my Kia), was very comfortable, had an easy to use infotainment system, and got good fuel economy, with an average of 29 MPG on regular fuel. When I returned my car yesterday, about a month later, the process was easy! Spencer took initiative after he saw me park my Altima to return it. He was happy to see me and invited me in, helping me process all of the paperwork. In addition, his colleague inspected my car, determining all was well. With the return complete, Spencer took further initiative and drove me back to Classic, even helping me transfer packages to my Kia, which he did not have to do. While I hope not to need a rental car locally anytime soon, I would highly recommend the Enterprise on SE 6th Avenue in Delray Beach thanks to their top-notch customer service and solid selection of cars! read more

NEVER RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. I am a long term Enterprise customer nationally. The Delray Beach on 6th Ave location is the WORST run enterprise location ever. I never had an issue with my Enterprise rentals until 11/14/22. When I returned the car on 11/17/22 I shared the issue I had with a "manager" named Andres. He told me he needed to address with his "manager" and that he would contact me the next day, no call at all. 10 days later I call, told by Emanuel that the "manager" Kadrum would call me back. No call. I spoke yesterday again to Emanuel, who told me again that the manager Kadrum would personally call me today, 12/15/22, of course no call. This is unacceptable customer service for any company let alone Enterprise-they are known for great customer service. That's why this review, terrible, complete lack of respect for a customer, let alone a loyal Enterprise customer. Never rent a car from this location. A simple return phone call would have solved this issue. I will contact Enterprise Corporate. read more
