When you're ordering for home their staff goes above and beyond to make sure you grab all your bags, they are efficient! They have their carry out system down to a science! I ate her a year ago and loved the food, but things can change. New cooks can make the biggest change in a restaurant. Service was pleasant and the ambiance was okay. Found it strange the Christmas tree was still up. The egg drop soup was so salty I could not eat it, tasted like the salt shaker fell into the pot. The potato dish was blah and also very salty. We just had lunch today. It was incredible the portions exceeded our lunch expectations. Our waiter was attentive and the others very friendly, enjoyable to talk to. The food is very good. I tried this place today for the first time after reading many great reviews. We dined in and both had chicken and broccoli and shared an orange chicken, crab wontons and shrimp tempura. The crab wontons were amazing. I think my shrimp tempura was a big over fried, but it was still alright. All entrees were great and very big. I do with the rice servings was twice the size, esp fried rice which is very plain and around $3 upcharge. They have Pepsi, very tasty. Lots of leftovers! Great service. Quiet, no frills, small space but lots of booths and seemed clean. Lunch specials look like a good deal, will definitely try that soon. read more

We came for lunch - it's a pretty standard a Chinese restaurant special. Entrée, soup and crab Rangoon or eggroll. Both my date and I got things we really liked, the orange chicken was good and a little bit spicy. The egg drop soup was delicious and almost a little bit smoky in flavor. The garlic chicken was also good and the hot and sour soup was really tasty. They were decorated for Christmas, which was a fun touch, and the service was really friendly and efficient. Me and my wife tried this place in liberty Mo. after seeing other reviews. We were pleasantly surprised, the crab ragon were delicious and on point, my wife got the spicy garlic lo mein, she said it was amazing and the chicken was tender and juicy, she said it was really not too spicy, and it was enough for 2 meals. I got the steak and lobster hibachi, the steak was very tender and cooked to perfection, the lobster seemed to be cooked a little too long but very flavorful. Our waiter was extremely nice and the only thing I would change was the heavy plastic over the tables that hang over the edge over your legs, it made my legs warm, and I was wearing shorts and my knees kept sticking to the plastic, but I did not deduct anything for that because I was there for the food and we were very satisfied with everything we ordered. I will definitely eat here again and do recommend everyone to try it, it's well worth it. read more

Customer service was beyond awful. They got my order WRONG TWICE. Management refused to correct the situation, and would not relent over a few prices of broccoli. I was super nice and polite, never had a business refuse to make things right when they made multiple mistake. This was the worst experience I have ever had. 100% their fault. I had seen a few mentions on social media about Penguins Kitchen that I recommended it to my hubby that we try. we went late afternoon on Sunday and we were both pleasantly surprised. I had the szechwan chicken and it was amazing. I told them i was a light weight on spice, so they made it with a little spice but not too much. I can't remember what my husband had, but he loved it too. portions were plentiful, enough to have for 3 extra meals. We have been back 2 additional times and have told others to check it out. Our waitress was extremely nice,she continue to check on us making sure we had plenty of water and or whatever we needed. Just happened to be shopping near by stopped in Today is the Grand Opening. 8-28-21 Friendly and new clean location. The greeted us with masks but noticed when we left and came back in they didnt have them on in the kitchen but put them back on when approaching. Ordered the Hibachi Grill chicken - separate container for sauce and lettuce large chicken grilled pieces good flavor special request no onion Moo Shu chicken very nice flavors container not full and did have a bit more grease at the bottom of the container than what I have seen at other places could not eat that part, needed more chicken one person said Cashew Chicken best flavor voted by all of all three no celery special request nice sizes pieces of chicken 40.08 with tax total a bit more expensive than some less than other so that seems good considering the times. we carried out and that always seems to be less quantity than dining in. the place looks like it might have been a previous chinese place you can see CHINA something on the outside of the building. looks like all new everything inside and appealing to dine in someday after covid for us. We will return and try other things They use Styrofoam containers which we are not fans of the tops collapsed on one of the items and if the food gets too hot they melt. so hope they switch to something else. Tried this restaurant based on positive reviews from a couple of friends. I we had crab wontons for an appetizer which were great and I ordered orange chicken for my entree. It was probably the best orange chicken I ever had and the portion was big enough that I had left overs for lunch the next day. read more

We tried the crab wonton. It was sweeter than crab Rangoon wears accustomed to. It was stuffed full. I felt like it was more of a dessert than an appetizer. It was good, just not what I was expecting. We had egg drop soup which was average. We also had habachi chicken & habachi steak. Both were good. The steak pieces were cooked to order and were actually more tender than the chicken. Very large portions on the entrees. I think we could have split one. But we did have enough leftovers for lunch. Small restaurant in a strip mall-outside doesn't look like much but inside is clean and cozy. Family owned with very friendly service. Food is fresh and delicious! We visited for a late lunch. The restaurant was clean and had some music videos playing. The waitress was kind but seemed to lack understanding of what the various menu items were. The food was lackluster, though generous in portion size. The flavor was lacking. Also, it would be great to have a few more vegetables in the chicken entrees. I'm a bit torn on my overall opinion. I've had authentic Chinese food before, which is absolutely much better than Americanized Chinese food. With that being said, as long as you know you're going to get mediocre Americanized Chinese food, you will enjoy it. I got the orange chicken as I was craving it. There wasn't enough sauce on the chicken, and it was too thin, but it hit the spot and satisfied my craving. The fried rice is terribly bland- tastes like white rice. Wouldn't order it again. They serve a LARGE portion though. Speaking of portions- the lunch meal was too much for me- I would have been able to split it with someone else- there was so much food included. Amazing price for the sheer amount. I ordered the crab wonton on the side instead of the egg roll, and I thought they did a good job on the taste of it. Their wontons are bland though. The best thing was the lo mein! Add it as a side and you get a huge portion. And it tastes very delicious- it's as if it were seasoned. So it's not just plain cooked noodles- they mix it with soy sauce and something else? Whatever it was, I recommend. Too much for me to eat but so cheap for a side. Honestly, this isn't very good Chinese food, but the price and some of the dishes make me ready to go back. Why not? I would come here again and try another dish. I don't know what other people have ordered that resulted in such a high rating, but the dinner I ordered (to go) was truly horrible, the worst I have ever eaten from a restaurant. I ordered steak hibachi with fried rice. The meat was so tough that it was too much trouble to even eat it, and the fried rice was nothing but rice...no egg, no peas, no carrots, no sprouts, no nothing,...yet they charge extra for it. The only decent thing was the side salad after I used my own ranch dressing. I think the meal was close to $20, a complete rip off. The only reason I didn't say anything is because my kids bought it for my birthday dinner. read more

We've been to dinner here twice now and it was excellent both times. I got the chicken teriyaki hibachi,it came with salad with ginger dressing and the chicken came with rice(I did the upcharge for fried rice), and sautéed veggies. I forgot to take the picture before most of it was gone,it was so good!! It's our favorite Asian restaurant!!! My daughter got the steak hibachi and she loved hers too.
