Well the food was good. Egg rolls were fresh and hot . Mongolian beef was skimpy on the beef but delicious. General's chicken was very tasty also. Food came out almost immediately I mean within 5 minutes for everything. But the egg rolls were the only thing that was hot. I'm talking temperature wise. Maybe it's just me but I like food hot when it comes to the table. I never complained I'm not that way , I must say service was excellent. My only complaint was the temperature of the food. Met a friend here for lunch. It is one of her favorite places. I ordered the General Tso Chicken lunch special. The hot and sour soup was yummy. Great for a cold day. My lunch plate was a generous portion of chicken and fried rice, with crab rangoon. The General Tso's chicken was nicely seasoned, more sweet than spicy. Service was quick. Stopped at Red Dragon II on a work trip. We were greeted and sat immediately. Our food came out as it was ready. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The lady helping us was very nice and attentive as well. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because the table was sticky (I think from age, not being unclean) and the interior needs some maintenance. Extremely disappointed with my food from red dragon. I ordered chicken chow mein lunch special (along with other food), and what I got was definitely not chow mein, and had a hair in it. When I called to see if I could come back so my order could be made right or at least refunded, I was immediately blamed for "ordering the wrong thing" and the lady on the phone said she would not even give me a refund for the one meal. The food tasted good, but the combination fried rice had almost NO meat (pork, chicken, or shrimp) in it! It was basically just plain fried rice. I asked for a plate of JUST orange chicken, meaning no sides. I was still given orange chicken with a side of fried rice. So I ended up with alot less meat than I wanted and a crap ton of rice. I'm always a fan of Chinese food so whenever I find a new place I have to try it out. Been by this place dozens of times, but never actually went in to try the food. I remember walking out of a few stores over by there and smelling the food thinking " I must try this place soon!" I must say I was impressed. This place had a lot to choose from, which was awesome because some other places I've been don't have near the selection they do. And as for the price you can't beat it. The staff was also very friendly. The gentlemen that waited on us e planned that they were short staffed and it was taking a bit longer then usual, which by the way wasn't a very long wait. For only having one cook and a couple servers the food came out fast and delicious I might add. The place was also very clean too. Good family restaurant and they also serve adult beverages as well. This is the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I ordered Beef with Broccoli. The broccoli wasn't cooked and the beef was really rubbery. I had egg drop soup and I could taste the oddness of the water that was used. The egg roll had a freezer burn taste to it. My kids had said " I hate to say it but our school food is way better." My boyfriends Kung Pao chicken was really under cooked and had that Metallic taste to it. Our fried wantons were all wanton and no meat. Crab Rangoon was not crunch and filling was bitter tasting. Fried Wonton for soup was limp. Chicken with vegetable was heavy garlic and generous 2- #2 scoop of fried rice was still white with sparse chunks of pea and carrot (no egg or onion was found in either mound of rice). I think this is a frozen eggroll from Sams club. Moral of the story, when I walked in at Noon and the restaurant was completely empty, i should have walked back out. We usually frequent the China Wok here in Platte City, but since it's closed due to the Co-vid 19 pandemic, we opted to try Red Dragon for curbside pickup. The menu is expansive, and they have a lot of items to offer. As a standard, I usually won't review a business based on only one visit, but in this case, we won't be going back for a second. The General Tso's chicken had what my husband described as a "chemical" flavor to it and upset his stomach all night. The sweet and sour chicken I had tasted fine to me, but wasn't the greatest flavor. The sweet and sour sauce in separate little container tasted rancid, not the sweet fruity flavor we're used to. For me, The real disappointment though, was the crab Rangoons. I've never had a Rangoon I didn't enjoy. I love them. But these tasted like the cheese inside was old. Like spoiled. And I spit out my first bite. We Threw the rest away. The egg rolls tasted ok. They were on the dry side and they were very small. Be careful when placing an order for fried rice instead of white rice. My mom and I dined in. Placed an order for 1 entree( explained we wld split that) , fried rice and some appetizers and two iced teas. The server forgot our drinks.Then the server brought everything out at once practically and he brought out 2 different kinds of rice. One white and one fried. I thought the fried rice was a bit different, it had egg in it and a few slices of meat.Tried to grab his attention but he had 3 other tables he was serving as well.We didn't even touch the white rice. Once we got our bill we were charged a dinner entree for what is called "Beef Fried Rice", I couldn't believe we were charged almost 9 bucks for that???? I tried to grab our server again but again way too overwhelmed with bringing people food ect. Went up to an older gentleman and he explained that we were served two entrees when we only wanted one. He said it was too late for him to do anything now. I may have been partially to blame but seriously it was not what we ordered and he didn't even want to meet us in the middle in price to make it right. I told him I would write this review so others that are not familiar with the difference of "Fried Rice" vs. "Beef Fried Rice" would be very clear when ordering(which we were) and to speak up if the order didn't look right.
