Stopped by for lunch and everything was awesome. Quick, friendly service and delicious food with good sized portions. So, I ordered delivery tonight, sesame chicken and shrimp with lobster sauce. Fast delivery, huge portion of sesame chicken but the shrimp with lobster sauce was extremely skimpy. The flavor was good but the sauce was extremely thin and watery. I'm guessing this doesn't happen often but tonight I was so disappointed.

We ordered online and it was ready within 10 minutes! As soon as I walked in, someone helped me and let me know that my food was being prepared. The lady who brought out our food was very sweet. The food smelled so amazing and delicious! They even put piece of cardboard in the plastic bag holding all of the food to make sure nothing spilled. The food tastes absolutely out of this world. We got SO much food for $34! This will be our new place :) can't wait to visit again!!!

The fried rice was also delicious and a great portion size. One thing that really stood out was the amount of seating. They've done an excellent job keeping the old aesthetic while making it still look fresh and new. The restaurant was so cool but oddly not one other patron in the space. My partners second visit and her second time with a fairly empty restaurant. I guess what I'm trying to say is it's an excellent space but possibly more of a to go spot despite the beautiful restaurant space. The menu is fairly trim but has flavors of east Asia and south eastern Asia. So pho, Chinese and I believe they had some Thai. The food was very good, our egg roll was perfectly crispy and my entree Mongolian beef was delicious. Lots and lots of veggies which is a great surprise for Chinese dishes. I'll definitely be back to try the beef and broccoli soon!

We have tried quite a few dishes and so far all were packed with a lot of flavor!! The egg rolls - super crispy, fried right and delicious. The salt and pepper fish - this one is by far my favorite dish out of all. They had a wonderful crispy coating and were tossed with fresh peppers and the right amount of seasoning. The treasures chicken, beef and shrimp hot pot was hearty and so comforting with tender meat and tasty broth. The Mongolian beef, chicken, and shrimp - was really well-made as well with tender pieces of meat and savory sauce and all these three dishes above married well with the hot, steamed rice that they served with it. I also tried the seafood noodle dish with the white sauce, which had shrimp, fish, mushroom, vegetable noodles, and egg. This one was pretty unique and one of the highlights. It was gooey chewy and all the ingredients tasted well together in a light savory white sauce. This particular one was so comforting that I kept going back to this one for another bite. I love that this restaurant has a lot more dishes to offer and that their portion sizes are huge. The pricing is very reasonable as per the portions with most of the entrees in the range of $16 - $18 with seafood costing a little more. The service has always been very friendly but be sure to dine in way before closing time or the staff might tell you to take a to-go 30-45 mins before closing. Otherwise the restaurant has a very casual relaxed feel to enjoy with family and friends. I still have so much left to try but based on everything I've had so far I definitely recommend Hong Kong star to all Chinese food lovers!!

Firstly: The food is obviously great. We got eggdrop soup, crab Rangoon, chicken yellow curry and general tsos. Each Entree was about $16 but it is served family style with steamed rice (cooked perfectly) so you get PLENTY of food. And the taste was fantastic. The service was timely and also outstanding. The people working the front are incredibly kind and considerate. Our drinks never even RISKED running dry and the gentleman that helped us wanted to make sure we left happy, even offering some more rice to fill out our to go boxes. The restaurant itself is homey. It has some clutter and imperfections but only in the way we all know the best hidden gems are. The place feels like you are being fed by family friends. Next time we go, we are trying the couples tasting menu for sure!

We tried this new place back when they opened in November, and they had a limited menu at the time. I tried all 3 of the Bao Buns, and they were awesome!! I can't wait to go back again and try now that they have a larger menu! The service was lightning quick. On a Thursday night, our order was ready in 10-15 mins! The employees were also so nice and polite inside when we picked up. The space is super clean, and I love that they have kiosks for ordering so you can spend some time browsing and not awkwardly have an employee watch you struggle to decide what to eat! It's a little small inside, but I think the point is to be mostly for takeout.
