Darna Mediterranean continues to deliver every single time. The grape leaves are a must-order appetizer--they disappeared faster than I could take a photo! They come served with a cool tzatziki sauce, crisp sliced cucumbers, and fresh lemon slices. The falafel bowl is incredibly fulfilling and makes for a hearty, satisfying meal. A coworker got the chicken curry during our visit and couldn't stop raving about it. If you're looking for a kick with the curry, be sure to order your food hot. The mild option is pretty bland in terms of spice, so bumping up the heat really brings out the best flavors. To top it off, the ladies running the place are always so genuinely nice and welcoming. I placed a to go order online. The Spanakopita was really good. It is filled with spinach and feta cheese. It was flaky and cooked just right. I'd give it a 8.5/10. I had the lamb kabobs with rice and veggies. I believe the overall dish could have used a bit more seasoning. Additional cucumber yogurt sauce would have been nice as well. I'd give the dish a 6/10. Can't speak to the customer service as my interaction with staff with was extremely brief. However, the service wasn't horrible. read more

You know you ordered too much food when they give you 3 sets of utensils and you really only ordered for yourself hahaha! Anyway, I wanted to try a few things and of course I had lots of leftovers. I ordered online for a scheduled pickup. I got there a bit too early, but just had a seat and waited only a couple of minutes, which is completely fine since I was early. I had a lamb gyro with fries, the shrimp appetizer, hummus, lentil soup and a baklava that was free due to my order total. I loved the food so much! The first order from a place always has a bit of a learning curve, so there's some things I'll maybe order differently or with slightly different instructions (like sauce on the side) but not that there was anything wrong, just my personal preferences. The hummus, pita and gyro were so delicious! The lentil soup was ordered for someone else so I only had a tiny taste and it was fine. My judgement of any lentil soup is going to not be very exciting as it's just not my "thing". The shrimp appetizer was delicious but I'm not sure I'd get it again due to the cost and the fact that it was just 5 or 6 shrimp. I'm sure the price is fair, but just for me personally, I doubt I'd get it again. Their online ordering doesn't offer some options that I'd like to see, such as if you choose soda as a beverage it doesn't tell you what options are available. Also, I like to be able to order extra sides of pita and sauce, things like that. read more

I enjoyed the welcoming, hospitable service from the gracious owner, the reasonable prices and the generous portions during my opening week dine-in lunch visit. The shawarma platter ($11.99) included choice of soup or a side salad, a side of hummus, a bottomless basket of pita bread and good portions of moist, white chicken and moist, flavorful rice. The sides were served with a smile five minutes after I ordered at the table, while the entrée was served 25 minutes later. Everything was very good. I especially liked the tasty hummus. I found the dining area to be clean and comfortable with Mediterranean background music and plenty of natural light. I also noticed a private dining area with room for six. The menu included appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts and meals for the kiddos with many vegan and vegetarian options. There was a 4% credit card surcharge. Overall, very nice! read more

I'm so happy to have this great new restaurant close to home! Everything we tried was delicious. Baba ganoush (and warm pita), Greek salad, Darna salad, lamb kabob, gyro plate and chicken curry were all equally good. There are many more items on the menu I will be back to try. The woman (owner?) running the front of the house was so sweet and gracious. It is not a large dining room, but they appear to be doing a good takeout business too. Prices were quite reasonable. We've been here twice already and love it. Clean restaurant and delicious food. We've had falafel, Greek salad with really tender chicken, lamb shawarma, the appetizer platter, lentil soup. We also tried 2 of the desserts (not the ice cream) and they comped a third dessert that wasn't on the menu. We had take out, so I didn't get to ask what it was. I have been here twice, once two weeks after opening and again about two months later. I was thrilled to see med food close by as it's my favorite and we seriously need some restaurants that aren't bars in the area. Both times service has been excruciatingly slow, I had to take two hours for lunch the second time during the work week, first time was my anniversary and it took a while for anyone to even know I was there to emerge from the back but I chalked it up to newness. I fine the food compared to others pretty average, the spanakopita was good. I got a platter with beef and it comes with hummus, oddly does not come with any pita bread. I asked for bread and the waiter said it didn't come with any so I guess u are suppose to eat hummus mixed in to the protein and rice? Odd. My friend ordered an app of hummus to just get bread, which I thought was a tiny serving and a bit dry, not the usual pillowy soft pita bread at others I'm used to, we had to ask for more bread to finish the hummus but he never brought it out before the check, so I just just took the leftover hummus with me and ate it with chips I had at home later. Friend did not like her food due to the overpowering cinnamon that she felt made it sweet on the chicken shawarma. I think it's a bit expensive for the quality and size of portions. I want this place to stay and I wanted it to be my go to place, but I'm not sure I will go back. I feel like I have eaten at a whole different other place than other reviewers. The family that owns and runs it is very nice and friendly, I hope it gets better and they can make it work. On a side note the atmosphere is very clean, it's small so a few tables, it isn't very cozy feeling as it's just a room inside the door, when it's cold out it's drafty any time some one enters. read more
