With so many wineries so close together it can be hard to chose a favorite! We went for a Valentine's event back in 2018 and kept going back ever since! We were newbies to the wine world that specific visit. The staff helping us was amazing. An older man who felt entitled and intoxicated order over us, and the staff kindly and sternly said I am with them, I will help you after. That meant so much to us. Came for a wine tour with 9 friends and was not disappointed. Kelsey was AMAZING! She made our time at the winery so memorable. She was so knowledgeable on the different wines and ways they're made. I love the wine selection and frozen sangrias at this winery but avoid it on weekends because it is just too crowded (good for them!) Other than weekends the only day I can really come to the winery is Friday. I recently brought my 4 week old baby with me and my parents on a Friday at noon. There were no more than 15 other guests there and we were one of two parties on the Members only patio. My baby was sleeping, but one of the workers approached us and said Fridays are 21+ only and we had to leave. I understand its their policy but I thought it was so unnecessary to make us leave considering so few guests were in attendance and my baby was sleeping. In addition, Peltzer prides itself In being a family friendly establishment so I am disappointed by this 21+ policy, especially in the middle of the day on a Friday. We have been members for over 3 years but I think I'm going to have to cancel my membership. read more

NOT KID FRIENDLY! I came to this place from a google review that indicated this place was good for kids. When we got there we found a place to sit and relax. Our kids wanted to literally "walk around our table" which was outside. Immediately a worker approached us and said your kids need to be an arm length away from parents at all times. Went out to peltzers few days ago. We've been there before and always had awesome customer service but this time around was unfortunately different. Can't remember the servers name Sammy? Sarah? Sam? something like that. All i know she wasn't the most pleasant person to be served by. I get people have bad days especially when work is hectic and fast pace but taking that out on customers who want to enjoy their time on a day out makes you not want to recommend this place to others. She wore how she felt right on her face. Very passive aggressive and not giving us the nicest facial expression when we wanted to try something before sending $80 on a bottle of wine. We planned all week to go this place because it said on google it was kids friendly, we got there 2 adults and 1 child, we ordered our bottle of wine, we ordered food the kid was sitting in the table with us , we were there for like one hour, we just opened the bottle and a lady who worked there came to us to tell us to pack our bottle and leave and that we had 10 minutos to finish our food and leave because that day was not kid friendly I ask her if we could go some other area with the kid so we could stay there, she said no but she was very rude, we told her to update the google info because we didn't know, but the way she treated us was simply wrong. read more

The wine isn't good and the pumpkins are imported. If you're looking for a true pumpkin patch, this isn't it. Try Apple Annie's in AZ. The last time I was there, they let you walk the pumpkin patch and actually let you chop the vine that's attached to an actual pumpkin. read more

Small, brand new Temecula winery! Please stop here! This family owned former pumpkin farm is only 6 months old. The tasting room designers must have watched HGTV's "Fixer Upper". The decor is straight outta Waco (in a good way)! Their farm approach to tasting involves pairing their wines w/ a locally baked bread. Yum!! For $20 you get to try 6 wines-- 5 true wines plus a moscato. They serve the wines in a special stemless wine glass that has an aeration bottom. Cool! We bought two. A group of us came to Peltzer after a bit of a disappointing visit to a winery up the road. We were looking for a friendlier atmosphere for hanging out and drinking some wine. We found it! Gwen made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Several of us work at a winery in Wisconsin, so we got some industry perks, which we very much appreciated. Wonderfully unique wine tasting experience that including bread pairings from a local bakery in Temecula. Both bread and wine were delicious and available for purchase. Although, the one bread I likes ran out. Darn it! :) The winery is adorable and offers more than one way to enjoy the grounds. There's a cute bar area outside offering signature cocktails. A food truck was onsite to satisfy those rumbling tummies. Plenty of merchandise to peruse and space to sit as you sip on your bevy. Definitely a place I'd like to go back to and spend an afternoon with friends. You should check it out too! read more

Peltzer Winery - Wine tasting with bread pairing - Wineries Near Me - Temecula, California

I had a great time here. In a sea of similar-looking vineyards that all offer mediocre wine, Peltzer adds a personal signature. After driving around doing blind-stops into different vineyards, my girlfriend and I found this little guy tucked behind some tractors. What struck our attention was the GIANT metal pumpkin on top of the hill adjacent to the winery ("okay, we're stopping there!"). Inside, people seemed to be having a great time. There was a taco truck, decent music, and a silly selection of souvenirs (like a pig or chicken wire spout for example). The staff was incredibly friendly and talked about how they are a brand new winery, and how they are/were primarily a pumpkin farm of sorts that decided to make some wine (they also import grapes for most of their wines--but do make two on site). The wine was fairly flat and overall "meh"... The Muscat was surprisingly fantastic, and I generally never look at Muscat wines. The bottles were a bit ambitiously priced. Didn't pick up a bottle, but If I happened to be in the area, I would come back for a glass and a fun experience. What bumped Peltzer into the 4-star category was the experience relative to the near-by winery, Wilson Creek. Wilson Creek was beautiful, and the wine was similarly mediocre...but more, it was sooooo impersonal. Go to the front-register to pay for tasting tickets, then back to the wine bar; the bartender didn't have much to say--head down, no eye contact. It was just impersonal; and boring. Peltzer on the other hand was more welcoming and less wound-up with an easy crowd. read more

Okay, for now, this is my new favorite winery!!! Great wine and sangrias. I love the atmosphere. It has a way more relaxing feeling than most wineries. It has almost a slightly rustic feel to it. More family oriented. The ice skating rink was a huge hit as well with all of the kids. Food trucks were a huge hit as well. I'm so disappointed. We bought tickets to go ice skating because every single photo of their ice skating rink shows it as being outdoors and they had reservations so we assumed they were enforcing social distancing and limiting capacity. Nope. We pulled up and it's in an indoor tent and it's packed. I honestly think they should be shut down. And they refused to give us our money back. This review is long overdue! We came to peltzer in January for my birthday and absolutely loved it! It was small, rustic and just so cute. It was by far our favorite winery we visited! One thing that truly set this winery above the rest was our tasting with Ken! He was so fun and knowledgeable about all the wines we tried. He kept us entertained and interacted with us throughout our entire tasting, which helped to make it more enjoyable for all of us! This place is awesome and different in that they have bread pairings with their wines. The wines were good. Favorites were the rustik red and the moscat caneli (actual favorite.
