The views of the vineyards are stunning. You walk through some of the grapevines from the parking lot to the Crush House. The giant barn is welcoming and somehow trendy. Lots of young adults filling the room with chatter. We weren't sure where to go and the staff came to our aid. Wine tasting of 3 whites and 3 reds. Jealous other parities were getting stronger pours but the server was nice about giving us a second taste of ones we liked when we tossed ones we didn't. We came up Sunday, 10/10/21 and did the 11am tour with Antonio. It was such a great experience. His extensive knowledge, experience, and stories of his world travels were fascinating. Man - this is a bittersweet review. Peltzer is an awesome place - and such a fun spot to hangout. My wife and I got married here and have nothing but fantastic memories! Recently we made the hike from OC to hang out for the weekend and brought our two 6 month old newborn twins for a fun little weekend activity. Upon sitting down, my wife was accosted and told to leave immediately since we had infants with us. The irony here is that I was at the bar getting us something to drink and also signing up for the wine club membership!!! I had it halfway filled out until my wife came walking up, almost in tears, telling us we needed to leave. To continue putting salt in the wound, someone named Alyx reminded us that we needed to get gone immediately after. I totally understand the 21 and over weekends. We clearly did not know and the signage did not make it apparent - and our 6 month old twins can't event formulate a word let alone order a drink so I'm unclear as to what type of threat they posed, but the way we were ushered out was humiliating and could have been handled much, much better. I am so disappointed. This was disgraceful. In the span of 15 minutes, I went from almost being a wine club member to probably never stepping my foot in the place I got married again. Terrible customer service. We decided to go here because Everywhere else was packed and now I know why there was no wait. Came here on a Saturday with my family + kids, this place promotes its " kid friendly" and we did see a couple of families with kids. We got to a table and someone said we couldn't have kids at the winery. He went to ask his manager and she comes out with a huge attitude asking us if we heard kids are not allowed. We let her know that we did not know but there were also kids here, she was NOT friendly and went on a rampage to kick everyone with kids out. A man behind me tried asking her a question about his grandkids almost arriving but she stormed off and didn't even bother to listen to him. I totally understand if kids aren't allowed but don't advertise It and there's no reason to be so rude. I will never return here even WITHOUT my kids. read more

I have been to Temecula quite a few times tasting wines from different vineyards. First time at Peltzer, the wines were good and everyone was helpful and informative. Unfortunately we were there on a Saturday with family and children weren't welcome so we didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked, I'll have to try and go back again another time. read more

We did a tasting with Kelsey yesterday, she was very knowledgeable about the wine and helped us pick out a variety of wines to try. This place is what I would call Country Chic. Of all the Temecula Winery's, it's the most Instagrammable location I would say. You'll see iconic signs and decors that will remind you of the Winery from the entrance to the indoor signs. It doesn't feel stuffy, and it doesn't feel quite like Temecula. You'll find this place off the beaten path and maybe a pumpkin balloon to confirm the location. This place is kid friendly. I saw a kid playing outside and I believe they have train rides too. (Heard from one of the tour guides) The place opened last October with the farms. They been growing wines with the farm this year and planted varietals like Barbera, Sangiovese, and Petit Syrah. I wouldn't say their wines are on my top of the list in Temecula but they are definitely above average. Tried both the Sauvignon Blanc 2015 and 2015 Zinfandel at a recent event, definitely on the younger side. Oh, I believe they are doing some kind of pumpkin wine in the works? Stay tuned. read more

Loved this place! We came here since it was across the street from our bed and breakfast. I know people always bring down Temecula wines but these were pretty good. I'm more of a red drinker but I ended up buying 2 white bottles from their wine flights. They also have many food trucks outside and loved that it felt more comfortable and chill vs. and a stuffy pretentious winery. Lots of room to sit inside and out. Will definitely be back! read more

Such a fun place! I came here back in Nov during COVID and overall they do a great job of spacing people out; there's plenty of room on the property to enjoy. We enjoyed a great tour of the property and they are generous with their wines. I think we tried 7-8 different varieties and most of them were excellent. Irresponsible business practices. Currently during stay at home orders the ice rink has stayed open (it seems it is choosing money over safety and required health restrictions) and masks were very rarely used from what I saw. On a side note, During normal times their wine is average at best and overpriced for the quality. Their pumpkin patch during October is also very overpriced. Pelzer has been a farming entity and a fun place to pick pumpkins, see pig races, pony rides and a kids petting zoo. In the last month they completed and opened a winery. We drove by a few weeks ago to just look around. Today we came back and did a wine tasting and some get to know you time. When you drive up there are multiple places to park, so that shouldn't be a problem. The winery is done in a very rustic but nicely articulated style and very open and homey feeling. Many areas to sit and socialize on overstuffed chairs and couches as well as social tables. They have a winery dog but we didn't see it. They have a limited amount of wines to taste: pinot grigio, blanc, dessert wine, Rose, barbera and Zinfandel. Being a red wine drinker we went with the last three. The rose was a little tart. The barbera was light for me, but the Zinfandel was the best! We did 4 taps of the Zinfandel. The tasting was $20 and it comes with a bread plate with six varietes from Great Harvest, almost a meal in itself. Outside they have an awesome fountain that has wine bottles pouring into a horse watering trove. Most of the grapes are from Temecula Valley, but not estate grapes.... maybe in time. I give the wine a 3 star. Ambience, bread and view a 4 star. Service was so so and that was a 3 star. Tip...currently they are dog friendly inside and out! read more

A year ago we were at Peltzer Farms for their annual pumpkin harvest festival, and the buzz then was that Peltzer had just broken ground on their soon to be winery. I was excited to hear this. Fast forward to September 2016 and Peltzer Winery opens up. We finally took the time to pay a visit yesterday for a tasting and to check it out. It is absolutely beautiful! They did a really good job creating an inviting place to chill out and enjoy wine country. Each winery in the area has their own special ambience and theme. Well of course Peltzer went with a farm theme! The tasting room is a large, barn-like building with several tasting counters, a tractor (of course), and it is very nicely decorated. Outside there are comfy couches and several high tables. Sitting on the patio looking east is a very nice view of vineyards that run along Calle Contento. You can see Falkner winery on the hill to the south. The cost for 6 tastings is $20, which includes a variety of breads from Great Harvest Bread to go along with your tasting. They sell these breads here too. If you are familiar with Great Harvest breads, you know how good the bread is. They have a limited list of wines to offer at this time. We only tried the reds, which were ok. Being a new winery, I am sure the wines will get better and the list offered will grow. The servers were super nice, though they did seem like they were still getting acquainted With the winery. No big deal, it's a new place. I'm sure Peltzer has more excitng things in the works that will make them shine. I'm going to keep watching this place for upcoming events, and keep tabs on new wine releases. I also look forward to meeting th winery dogs! I really did enjoy sitting on those comfy couches and enjoying the view. read more

This is the first winery we tried in Temecula. We didn't do any bus tour because we decided we'll just hit up a couple of wineries and buy bottles to take home. We got here late on a Friday evening, around 5:30 pm. They are open late that day which was great for us because all other wineries in our list were closed. But weekend evenings are the best times for Peltzer, they had live music, cupcake flights, a lively young crowd. We came the day after Christmas and decorations were still up which adds a nice touch to the barn setting. Cupcake flight included a white wine paired with a vanilla cupcake, Zinfandel paired with red velvet, and a dessert paired with mocha caramel cupcake. I've been to a lot of wineries in California and South America and this is probably one of the best in terms of value, ambiance, cleanliness, and the crowd it attracts. People were classy and chill, which makes for a nice environment. Wineries can be snooty and exclusive or disorganized due to crowding, but this winery was welcoming and for everyone, whether you're a wine connoisseur or - beginner. Parking is great, they have a huge lot and people come and go so there's always space. I'll come back next time I'm in Temecula! read more
