I've now bought two Nissans from Peltier. This time around, I dealt with Colton. Unlike a lot of salespeople, he was laidback, and had no problem backing up the price, with a proposed Buyers Order. (It's a struggle to get most Dealers to provide *real* numbers in writing.) After negotiating a few days, we finally agreed on a price, and everything was in writing, and transparent (No hidden fees, or surprises.) I told him I'd be in at 6P, and he literally had me out in 30 minutes. Easy breezy. 5 stars for Colton, and his Sales Manager, Doug. read more

Bought fluid change items for my titan there before last year and received reasonable discount. Sent my wife by yesterday and full list price for filters and fluids. I called back and the manager said that's their over the counter price. 20% higher than Clear Lake dealer and 30% higher than Nissan on line (after shipping). So if you want a dealer to take advantage of your wife and charges full list price for parts, then Peltier is your dealer. read more

Steer clear of this dealership!! I bought a brand new Pathfinder at the end of 2025. The transmission just went out and I'm told they charge me for the rental until they know if the warranty will cover this. It has 15,000 miles on it. We called another local dealership and they said 3 other people have called them this month about the transmissions going out at Peltier Nissan and some weren't covered by the warranty. Do not buy an extended warranty from these crooks! They claim it will cover any parts/systems except those designed to wear out, tires, brakes, batteries, etc. However if the entire airbag system in your Armada goes out, you will be forced to either put your family's safety at risk or pay $1500 when you're supposed to be protected by having shelled out all that money for the extended warranty. Total fraud! read more

Terrible buying experience, I was there for HOURS. And every time I come in for an oil change it's always something. One time I requested a tire rotation and when I got my car back the same exact tires were low on pressure, they didn't vacuum my seats as promised, and they didn't even give me my sticker for my next service. Stealership is all I will refer to it as. When my brand new Nissan Sentra was at 3000 miles a tire pressure sensor went out. (They did replace it) Even if you purchase the warranty they want a $250 diagnostic fee to investigate the issue if it is not readily apparent. read more

I took my Jeep to Peltier Nissan in Tyler for brake service and paid $1,275.16 -- just over a month after purchasing the vehicle from them. Before paying for the repair, I raised a concern during a test drive -- the brake pedal was going all the way to the floor. The technician told me this was "normal." I trusted their explanation and paid. Minutes later, I brought the vehicle to a third-party mechanic. They found an active brake fluid leak at the banjo bolt washers -- a serious safety risk directly related to the brake work the dealership just performed. I contacted General Manager Brian Carter, who offered only excuses and refused any reimbursement -- even though I had documentation available and had flagged the issue before I paid. My goal from the start has been simple: for the dealership to take responsibility and return the $1,275.16 I paid for work that didn't resolve the full problem. Unfortunately, it feels like once they closed the sale, the concern for customer care ended. As a veteran, I expect honesty and accountability from businesses I deal with. I did not receive that here. I am now preparing formal complaints to Nissan Corporate, the BBB, the Texas Attorney General, and the DMV Enforcement Division. If safety, accountability, and transparency matter to you, I would strongly caution against relying on this dealership's service department. read more

Wanted to let people know ow the advertised price on the Versas of $17k are falsely advertised. They immediately tell you that "all vehicles have a required purchase of AAGI warranty that is non-negotiable, and is $3000". Beware of this scam, and that the advertised price on the internet for the cars is not the real price! read more

The worst dealership ever !! Where do I start I bought a brand new truck here. The first year service people were nice besides begging and basically forcing me to give positive reviews/feed back. However in the past year their service department has become the absolute worse. I purchased all the oil change maintenance extended warranty here through dealership BIG MISTAKE ! everytime I take my truck in for simple oil change something happens. Last month they wrecked my truck have video footage of truck coming in not damaged ... but not leaving facility zip tied my step stool up so I couldn't see that it was even damaged until I tried to use it. Also they stripped my lug nut key doing tire rotation had to argue for days to get them to replace it. Then now next tire rotation (same tires) now I'm all the sudden missing my spacers ? And they can't replace them because it's a custom part ( but hey my truck is a rocky ridge addition FACTORY truck all was supposedly covered by Nissan. I could go on for days about why you should choose other dealerships. The worst experience I've ever had, anytime I take truck for simple upkeep they break or find things to charge me for or not put back on my truck properly which has ended up costing me way more than if I would have not dealt with them and just went to quicklube etc. this isn't a one time occurrence it's an everytime . I also had my headliner cleaned recently and now it's become detached and I can't even tell them what's wrong bc I know they'll just give me the run around and reasons they aren't responsible! Save the stress buy and service else where this place is a headache and scam you so bad! MOST OF THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE FROM BRAND NEW PURCHASE, and the HOUND YOU LITERALLY WONT SERVICE YOUR CAR UNTIL YOU LEAVE POSITIVE FEEDBACK. ... I'm sure 99% of customers and reviews are the same after they've drove the car for more than a week If you read the dealership Response to all the bad reviews it's always the customers fault so I can't wait to see how all 80 problems of mine are all my fault btw make sure and check out yelp they have 2 stars there ... they give discounts and literally force positive reviews on google I made corporate complaint but bc this is a privately owned dealership it's just a run around back to peltier. Save yourself the problems wish I would have read these reviews first there's enough bad reviews to trust it's bad !!! I'd give negative stars if I could read more

They were friendly enough during the sale. But they charge a huge fee for paint protection and such. I was told for that fee it was much like insurance. It covered door dings, torn seat covers, acid rain and bird poop protection. Well now I have a ding and they tell me that is NOT covered. They didn't give me any paperwork on what was covered but now say only the paint damage from stuff like acid rain is covered. So they lied to me and now I don't have the protection they said I did. Their ridiculous "mandatory" mark up is a joke, don't pay for it. They won't cover what they say they will. Also It took two phone calls to get anyone to call me back the tell me this. WARNING....I'm posting this as a public service to fight corruption, fraud and the auto dealer/service scams many of us have experienced or heard about and few do anything to change. PELTIER Nissan, is guilty of warranty fraud. PERIOD! I have caught them red hand handed. Additionally, the service department led by service manager Rob, along with service advisor Anthony Trevino, are either completely inept or purposely tried to defraud my 19 year old daughter of over $4000 for fictitious repairs. Replace both bent struts and numerous expensive electronic reconfiguring! This made zero sense to someone using just a little common sense. Included in this scam service repair ticket, was an additional $2000 charge to replace the rear main seal on a 2021 Nissan Sentra! I was dumbfounded, when the Peltier service manager was telling me the manufacturer warranty would not cover this because my daughter most likely hit a curb and bent the struts (which turned out to be a lie) Yes you heard that right. My head was about to explode as I tried to reason with this insanity. Service manager Rob then says "to help me out" here's what we will do. "don't report this to your insurance, we will rewrite the service orders and just list the rear main seal as the issue and not mention the front steering damage. Nissan, will cover the warranty repair" he also states that we make more money from the Nissan warranty work than if it's paid through insurance" Service manager Rob continues by saying, "after the warranty work is complete, we will then wright a new work order and address the steering issues, then you can notify your insurance company. The short version of this disgusting experience, I told Rob to do the warranty work and repair rear main seal so I wasn't in the hook for $2000. I was leaving that day for a week. After several days they informed me the warranty work was complete and wanted to know how I'd like to handle the $4000 front end repairs. I told them I'd get back in a couple days and let them know. First thing that following Monday morning, I had a flat bed tow truck pick up my daughters car and bring to my shop in Tyler. I arranged for a 25 year ASE master tech mechanic to meet me and provide a second opinion on the car. It took 3 minutes laying on my shop floor to diagnose the problem! Bent lower right control arm and ball joint. NO bent struts! At this point I'm realizing Peltier was seriously attempting to defraud my daughter for thousands of dollars. Naturally my next thought was, I wonder if they did a single thing on the $2000 warranty claim? We very carefully removed the belly engine cover under car. To our astonishment and disgust, NOTHING had been touched, NOTHING. I left a message about my experience and scheduled a meeting with General Manager Brian Carter to share my concerns. I was calm but abviously frustrated about what I had experienced and my serious concern about the absolute proof I had of the fraudulent warranty work, not to mention the (at best) gross incompetence from service manager Rob and Anthony Trevino It was quickly apparent to me that he was nervous, agitated and defensive. The most revealing moment however, when I shared with him that I had documented with photos and video, proof of my claim against HIS service department, a serious accusation you would think any general manager would be extremely concerned about, he didn't even want to look at anything, he refused to look at a single photo or video. For nearly two weeks I called Nissan corporate warranty fraud department in Nashville. They finally returned my call, took my information and said they would investigate Peltier Nissan, but would not share any of the findings with me. Buyer be ware, I could not more strongly suggest you avoid Peltier Nissan in Tyler. If you have had a similar experience and did nothing because it seemed impossible to make a difference, please contact me and share your story to: complaint@pelteirfraud.net Together we can hold companies like this accountable. Emailed Nissan about a new vehicle and explained I didn't want to go to the dealership. I just wanted the best price I could get with interest rates and gap insurance on the car I was looking at on the internet. That I had a price range in mind and if they came within the price range (I didn't care what they made + or -), I'd go buy the same day. I sent them my credit score from credit karma, so they knew I was indeed a buyer. The sales manager called me and said here's our offer, do you commit to coming in today? I agreed because they met my requirements. She got me with Mariana Hutchison where we walked in, she said I know you want this to be quick, the car is clean, I just need to officially run your SSN, and the process would be finished. I just had a nightmare week of interaction with Peltier. This is what happened. I had a 6 year old Nissan Versa Note that was running fine. A couple weeks ago it started misfiring and the check engine light came on. I thought I would limp it home but a few miles later it just totally died. I had it towed to the local shop I normally like. They looked at it, I don't know for how long, and said they didn't want to mess with it and suggested I take it to the Nissan dealer. So I had it towed to Peltier. Peltier's diagnosis was a melted coil pack. The video the tech uploaded said "I believe that is the cause of your concern." They wanted $1718 to switch out 4 coil packs, spark plugs and a fuse. $175 of that was the initial diagnosis, the rest was parts and labor. That seemed like highway robbery but I approved it anyway because my normal shop already rejected it and I didn't have time to do it myself. Peltier also wanted to do 8 other service things at the same time, like transmission fluid, drive belts, air filters, rotate tires, wiper blades, etc (total more than $1000). I only approved the coil packs, plugs and fuse. A few days later I got a call that they had done the coil packs and it started up fine but that the transmission was slipping and wouldn't climb a hill and it would need a new transmission, which was another $4800. That's close to the value of the car, so not worth doing. So in the end they charged me $1718 to diagnose that the car was not worth fixing. Yes, you read that correctly. Let it sink in. Not only was I out $6000 (the value of the car), but I was having to pay $1718 on top of that. As soon as it was known that the car wasn't worth fixing they started trying to get me to buy a car from Peltier. Every person I talked to tried to do that. I asked if there was a way they could work with me on the $1718 bill since that's a lot of money to diagnose that the transmission was blown. I had no problem paying the $175 diagnostic charge since that's really the only service I received. They said I could set up a payment plan on the $1718. They also tried to give me $1450 in trade-in credit for the dead car, which I'm sure they would just make up for by upping the value of the used car they were wanting to sell me. In the end they gave me a $100 off coupon that any customer could get. I will never be returning to Peltier for anything and won't be buying a Nissan again. Nissan's are notorious for transmission problems. Google it. I'll be replacing this car with a Toyota. read more

Our sales guy Christian was AWESOME. No pressure with this guy. He was helpful and easy to talk too. I would highly recommend him!!!!!

Honestly, the buying went quick, and was so great fun for their help but I paid for a service plan that supposedly includes multiple things, but in fact doesn't include anything but oil changes and tire rotation. They fail to tell you how much crap you're required to do every time you bring it in for your routine service and get nickel and dime to death. Every oil change I come in for requires something and you can't leave without spending at least $200. And I've been to another dealership and they act the same way. Don't know if it's a dealership thing or a Nissan thing. But completely regret buying a Nissan and regret buying it from Peltier. And FYI if you buy a brand new rogue... get ready to pay for new tires. The tires they put on them are rated for 40,000 miles... but you will actually only get 25,000. When I called to ask what the deal was I was told they put the cheapest tires on them and consider yourself lucky getting 25,000 miles out of them and they will not help you.. even good year who sales them the tires won't help you. I've spent more money having a brand new vehicle than I did with my last older vehicle. So when you got there to buy a new vehicle from them or any Nissan dealer... be prepared and ask a million questions. read more

Unlike Dana, I am pretty sure God did not lead my wife to peltier nissan here in Tyler where she has been taken advantage of. Maybe it is because 30 plus years ago I tried the car industry and found it overall to be as crooked as a dog's hind leg most of the time; Peltier proved to me it still is that way. Peltier's salesmen still use an old saying among them (car sales people) according to some of them I buddied up with while there, the saying is definitely not Godly. In dealing with customers the goal is to; "Tear off their head and shit down their neck". This was said and confirmed to me by several on the sales staff. Peltier will use every trick in the book to take every dime they can from you and when service issues come up, REALLY LOOK OUT! My wife's top of the line lease car with 4,000 some odd miles on it in about a year (yep, she is a 60's year old who drives seldom and baby's her car like it is a living being) had a tire get a bubble on it about 3 to 4 inches across and stood out about an inch or more. We took the car in for regular service and asked them to take car of this faulty tire. A Gent who seemed liked a fine young man making living headed up a part of the service department concluded with myself a tire of this supposed quality should not have done this unless damage from hitting something like a curb had happened to the degree it would have most likely led to some type of of evidence on the wheel itself! But today they denied any responsibility, instead pointing their finger at the tire manufacturer who denied any recourse due to a spot of darker discoloration on the inside of the tire which they said indicated the driver caused the issue, then promptly took $300 from my wife who was scared to death the tire would cause her to have a wreck. My solution would have been to buy a less expensive black walled tire elsewhere denying them (Peltier) profiting off of her and keep the tire with us for the next lease. At that time after she had negotiated a deal to her satisfaction I would have produced the tire and said no deal unless they gave us a check for X-amount of the expense we had. Without a doubt know they would have complied due to their salivating over the profit of the sale of the car, yet in servicing us with commonsense and integrity, they opted for the at hand profit today! My experiences with Peltier have been along these lines, maybe it is that way due to my knowledge of the industry and recognizing the behavior that drove me away from this industry decades ago in my youth. Some times the more things seem to change the more they really stay the same, ................sigh! read more

I'd give 0 stars if possible. They recommended that I needed an alignment when all I wanted was an oil change. So I let them. Owen wants me to bring my car in again and pay for them to do the alignment again. He doesn't want to fix it but wants me to pay what they didn't do right the first time. Now, I get to pay for 2 more tires (22" pirelli tires) and pay for another alignment. Will never service any of my vehicles at this Nissan Peltier or buy a vehicle from them.
