Another time I was trying to fix the sliding screen door and couldn't figure out wtf I was doing. I brought the whole door in and one of the guys showed me how to put the rollers on. Very helpful. I like that it's a hometown store feel, not like the big box stores where I can rarely find help. I'll always start at this store when I need something.

Management seems like they have too much free time on their hands and don't bother to check in with customers who are standing around waiting--they're too busy chatting up the workers who are actually busy working. It's like pulling teeth to get someone to give an update on what's going on and why the wait has been almost an hour. Lowe's is generally more on the pricey side, but I've actually found a few great deals and prices that were lower than other competitors with the same product. That is the ONLY reason I'd shop here despite the iffy service, otherwise I do almost all of my home improvement shopping at Home Depot, Menards, or Amazon.

I gave you the money. Your company ships to my address. Process the order. Companies are doing something shockingly scummy.

The selection is poorer than Frattalone and the prices are higher. We won't support this store and their poor attitudes, we will plan to go to Home Depot or Lowe's for our hardware needs. We appreciate the location and the poor service, higher prices and lack of inventory will cause us to shop elsewhere.

I was killing time while my kids were working out at the nearby Planet Fitness. I love walking around hardware stores and Internet support them rather than big box home improvement stores. Even if I don't need anything, I will often pick up an extra 10mm socket or wrench (IYKYK). I noticed they sell the Snow Dominator (which is the best scoop snow shovel of all time, in my opinion). I thought I'd pick one up for my sister, whom we're visiting for the holidays. After the interaction with the store employee, however, I've decided that I won't shop here. I will buy my shovel at Settergren's on Penn Ave in Minneapolis instead.

Fantastic hardware store!…read more Mark has probably saved our family thousands of dollars over the years ($1,300 in plumbing quotes alone) with his advice to solve problems backed by knowhow and knowledge of the problems his products help solve! This month the shower faucet was leaking. $3.99 kit of washers combined with Mark telling me which ones to try first. In 30 minutes, the leaking was fixed. He has done this multiple times. I literally search the internet for how tos and Amazon for products to fix a problem, then look at Mark's site online to see what they have in stock and buy it Settergren's of Linden Hills instead. When I don't know I ask... and he doesn't charge me for the advice... Mark is also great with referring service providers. I have a beloved ~30-year-old Toro lawnmower that was taking 12+ pulls to start. I thought I was going to have to replace it for $500. Mark referred me to Glen Rud, a fantastic, honest, and reasonable small engine repair expert in located in Richfield. Glen fixed the problem and I had it back in 1.5 days. It just needed an adjustment to the choke... Fantastic hardware store!

I came in to this location for some lighting supplies, pet friendly rock salt, and a car window scraper/brush. I got all 3 things in less than 10 minutes. Most of it was due to the helpful staff. One woman was really nice and walked me to 2 of the items, one at a time. Very patient. The other was stocking shelves and deep in the thick of it, but still smiled and waved me over to the next isle for what I needed. You bag your own stuff at checkout, but their plastic bags are really durable and great for reuse at home.
