Stopped here on Black Friday, later in the day. I was kind of expecting it to be chaotic as it's when people also start decorating their homes for the holidays. It wasn't too busy. My mom was looking for a few items and staff were nice and helpful at assisting her to finding what she needed. They did have some deals going on and they had most of the sale items right easy to find up front. I personally did not need anything at the time but enjoyed generally browsing. read more

I want to acknowledge the excellent help I received from Hasnatur in the Eagan MN Home Depot store. He assisted me when I bought some arbor vitae to plant in my backyard. I love that they have EVERYTHING I need to maintain my home and garden - the selection is outstanding! Their workers are always so kind and helpful while I shop. I'm not sure I'm always getting the best value here, but the convenience of getting everything I need in one stop is worth it to me. Recently stopped here to grab some tools and even some perrenials to take home to do some projects before leaving the Minneapolis area. Staff here was friendly, most of the plants were pricey, outdoor materials were fairly priced. Clean inventory inside and easy to shop around. Found some great outdoor lights as well as outdoor home decor. Overall, Casual Home Depot experience. read more

Mixed feelings - we bought our first house and have been painting a lot. Went to go paint the cabinets, even brought one face in and mentioned to the paint person I was going to use deglosser (satin finished wood) she stated that I didn't need to and primer and paint would be fine. You can imagine how I felt after the first tester peeled under my findernail. Thankfully I had some deglosser on hand but imagine if I'd done them all and they peeled. We have also had several plumbing questions and the foreign guy is super rude and always trying to upsell us or telling us we have to fully replace things that we don't. These folks don't know what they're doing. Losing trust here and am going to find another location. read more

Been coming here since a kid for supplies 30 now. Todays customer service was all it took for me to go to Lowe's or menards now. Go to cash register the two employees decided they needed to finish there non work related conversation before starting to check me out. Went to the rental department grabbed a steam cleaner took it to the desk the guy behind desk stated can you not read..... excuse me.... He stated again can you not read I look at the tag it states do not rent. I go okayyyyy so you do you have another, NO. We have one for sale. Ok I'll go check that out. ITS FOR SALE he states again louder I STATE YES I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME. And walked out. read more

If you are planning on ordering CABINETS from Home Depot- consider this: 1) they have a wait time for orders to be filled of At least 12+ WEEKS. That is for the cabinets to come in. If you hate them for install, that's another 6 weeks. (As of April 2022) 2) if you begin your cabinet order, they require $109 charge of having their subcontractor come out to measure your kitchen. You will NOT have rights to those measurements (unless you are home and follow the movements of the subcontractor and measure the same walls as he/she does with your own tape. They do this to PREVENT you from shopping around to compare rates or timelines. Had I known that this I would NOT have wasted my time. 3) cost. A 115" x 113" Kitchen of mid-range cabinets will cost $16,000-20,000! At that price, you might as well go to a custom cabinet maker if you want to spend that much. If not, go to onlinecabinetsdirect.com or cabinets.com and they will design your kitchen for at least HALF that price and HALF the wait time. Skip home depot. Staff is nice. Delivery service is NOT reliable. A few months ago I ordered lumber and plywood online for delivery. They were to call 30 minutes before arriving. I found lumber/plywood sheets in alley in front of my garage! I found it when I threw out trash. Don't know how long it had been there. Yesterday, I Purchased Ryobi 40V Weed trimmer. For delivery, I checked off "signature required." Late this morning, I found the Ryobi lying on front door outside steps! Won't order from Home Depot again. read more

I have talked to Elaine 3-4 times being told she would put me on the requisition list since I am to be offered a job. I worked in Eagan this was the the closest Home Depot for my job. There staff were rude when I tried returning a plant, that had a fungus on it. Not friendly or helpful was not sure if it was the employee or they had some issue with my special needs client. So I started driving to the Home Depot in Invergrove no issues. Staff always friendly and helpful to both me and my client. read more

This is a pretty nice Home Depot, however finding someone to help you is almost impossible. Size is great and selection is decent.

OK I'll admit I like home improvement stores. Somewhere on the Y chromosome there is a caveman with a stone hammer but what he really wants is the 204 piece tool kit with the adjustable wrenches and adjustable bits. It's not that the stone hammer isn't useful, but the tool kit gives him the possibility of doing some serious fixing. And you can't unlearn that out of your average guy. It's part of his DNA see? So I bring boy #2 with me to the Eagan Home Depot to show him how to sooth his growing urge for tools. He loves his Little Tykes tool bench he got last Christmas and I'm still working on expanding his tool repertoire so he doesn't always see everything as a nail using only his plastic hammer to bonk every said nail with. See bump on boy #3's head in attached diagram. So I'm partial to Home Depot because it's really the only big home improvement superstore in Eagan. We have smaller hardware stores too and I go there for other specific things but that's another story - literally. Boy #2 is three so he's also partial to the riding shopping carts most stores seem to have now. And he got bug eyed when he saw the kiddie carts here. The kids ride up high closer to the parent pushing the cart while the actual basket part is up front where it should be. Rainbow Foods in Eagan has the kids riding in the pseudo car down low in the front of the cart. Can't tell you how many times I'm almost colliding with other carts and it makes it hard to see them down there - plus they like to get out, dance or adjust something, and get back in all the time. But the Home Depot pseudo kiddie car is far too high up to allow jumping in and out so he stayed put really well. I'm also less concerned about his limbs getting hacked off when I turn a corner. But after 5 years living in Eagan and shopping here I'm most impressed with the employees. They offer to help but not in the annoying in your face way like some stores do. They'll usually say "Can I help you find something?" and that's perfect because I usually saying yes even if I'm within smelling distance on my own. (Tool DNA is good for hunting) And even when crossing paths, the employees will usually give a smile and a "hello" that seems genuine and not forced. I'm sure it's by design but two big thumbs up for hiring older or retired employees. Unlike going to Target or Best Buy, when I ask an older Home Depot employee a question, I know they've either used the tool, have done what I'm trying to do, or are super helpful helping me figure it out. Experience is the key at home improvement stores and the older employees exude that in spades. Last excellent point: Boy #3 has some genetic developmental and physical delays so I've become more aware and protective of how our society treats and accepts kids and adults with disabilities. The Eagan Home Depot has had a hearing disabled woman as a cashier since I've been going there and she does a fantastic job every time even if the price tag or something else isn't ringing up correctly. I've had zero problem communicating with her when that's happened. People trash the big box stores as if they're all the same. Some of their arguments can be validated, but the Eagan Home Depot management is paying attention to customer service details and that makes my inner caveman feel pretty good. read more

Great store that is well managed. Friendly and very helpful employees. The is always clean and if there are issues with your purchase the entire team will figure out a way to find a resolution. The entire customer experience is positive and better than the other Home Depot options is the south metro area. read more

Terrible customer service at the flooring section. Waited there for 30 minutes and discriminated against twice when people not line were attended to, even when we pointed out that we were waiting in front of them and were there first. And to think that we were there to give them follow up business after having spent more than 6K with them in December. What happened to the tother nice lady who manned this desk? Why is this angry surly lady at this desk facing customers now? And why do you have discriminators in customer service? Plain discrimination, not even an apology when we said ok we are leaving. To all prospective customers - take your business somewhere else, these terrible flooring section people in Eagan Home Depot do not deserve your business. Everyone else in the store is helpful except these ladies at the flooring section. read more

Home Depot in Eagan is just what I need. Friendly staff, good products and a place where I can bring my leached, very well behaved working dog. I did receive one of Home Depot's home furnishings catelogs. I feel this will be a wonderful addition to their product base. read more

I was given a 3-4 week time line at time of purchase and told it would probably be sooner. After the 4th week and no contact I called Home Depot and was told weather had delayed the "crew" which I later found out was one very slow worker. I was told it would be about another week, which would have been nice for someone to call me and tell me they were delayed. After another 10 days now 6 weeks in I still had not heard anything, I called again and was told still delayed. Finally after 71/2 weeks I got a call to say they would be coming the next day. The "crew" put in the post and said they would come back in a few days to finish. 5 days later the one person doing the fence came back and it took him two more days to put the actual fence on 80' feet of distance which is not very much. I was not home when he finished and was not contacted to say it was done. I was not able to inspect it and sign off on any of the week. I find it hard to believe a worse experience involving fence installation could exist. read more
