If you like Italian food and love to share dishes with friends and family, this is a great place to eat! I would suggest getting a reservation because this is definitely a trending spot! I started off with a Limoncello Margarita, great flavor, Mexico meets Italy! This is a tapas-style restaurant, meaning the dishes are smaller plates designed for sharing. We had a group of five and ordered a variety of items. We started with two orders of the Garlic Bread, very good! The fresh-made House Mozzarella was amazing and an absolute must-have. We also had the Pelato Salad, Burnt Broccolini (soo good, another must-have), and the Stuffed Mushrooms, which were very good as well. For the entrées, we shared the Chicken Parmigiana, Meatballs Al Forno, Bucatini Cacio e Pepe, and Shrimp Ravioli. Everything was excellent! Here's where we messed up... we didn't save room for dessert! The service was amazing, and the timing of the food coming out was perfect. You can sit at the bar, indoors, or outside. Sitting inside was VERY loud and made it hard to have a conversation with the table, so outside seating would probably be the better option. If you live in Franklin, what are you waiting for? Cheers!

Finally stopped into Pelato for Mother's Day brunch and loved it! We had great service on a really busy day which can be difficult. As far as the brunch items, I only tried the French toast but it was DIVINE! Everything else is egg heavy and sounds really good. I'll try more next time! We also had the bread with parm sauce (to die for), meatballs, and artichoke arancini. Everything was very good. Can't wait to go back!

All the amazing Brooklyn Italian favorites that you love from Pelato Germantown are now in Franklin! The Scotto family has done it again with the flair and flavor only they can do. The menu is filled with amore. The broccolini is my favorite side dish in the city. Followed closely by the crispy cauliflower. Follow that with the Polenta and Bolognese and a serving of Chicken Parm. Make sure to order the deconstructed cannoli for dessert. It might be the perfect meal. And the best news is you don't have to drive to Nashville anymore to get it!

We came for a birthday dinner and the service was exceptional. Cameron was the best server we've had while we were in town visiting for our friend's birthday. Tapas style which mean family style so be sure you come ready to share!

Sat at the bar, sadly no happy hour. The place was busy! The bartenders were great as were the food runners. We had the crispy cauliflower piccata and it was delicious! Very crave-able and I will be back for that dish specifically. We also tried the polenta and bolognese, which was also good. My husband loved. Plato is a nice addition to the Cool Springs restaurant scene.

I had really high hopes since I have enjoyed the Nashville location, but to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. For a party of 3 (3 pastas, 2 apps, 1 dessert, 4 drinks) we spent a total of $220. And for the cost, we don't understand how an espresso martini could cost $20 but each pasta dish we got was $16-17, which we unfortunately did not picture. The caciao e pepe pasta was good. The pesto pasta was extremely salty, very oily, and tasted like there was just a hint of basil - did not seem fresh. We couldn't quite figure out how we felt about the vodka pasta until it hit us: Spaghetti-Os. Service was good, Tony did a great job. Overall, I am hoping it improves since this location is new, but I would not recommend for the cost nor quality.

What a delightful restaurant! We celebrated our friends birthday and enjoyed sharing several delicious small plates. MPK was just the sweetest! You can tell by our numerous empty plates that everything was fabulous!

2 Stars We visited Pelato's new Franklin location on a Monday night around 7pm. It was surprisingly packed for a Monday, but we had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server also came over quickly. The menu is structured around unconventional small shareable plates, so our table took a little time deciding what to order. We ended up ordering the burnt broccolini, meatballs, garlic bread, two vodka pastas, baked ziti, and two chicken parms. Early in the meal, a Diet Coke was brought to the table but the server accidentally dropped it and spilled the drink across the table and onto one member of our party. To her credit, she was apologetic, but it still turned into a whole ordeal of cleaning the table and dealing with the spill, which disrupted the flow of the meal pretty early on. Accidents happen, but there was no effort made to reconcile the situation beyond a verbal apology. There was also some confusion with the tea. An unsweet tea was ordered, but the drink that arrived was extremely sweet and clearly tasted like sweet tea. It was sent back and replaced, but the second one that came out tasted the same. Our server mentioned that this had apparently been happening with other tables that evening as well. Eventually a manager came over to check on it and ultimately told us they only have unsweet tea and admitted there might be an issue with the recipe they are using. Despite the mix-ups, both the Diet Coke and the tea still appeared on the bill. The biggest issue of the night, though, was the timing of the food. They did mention that dishes might come out at different times, which makes sense with a tapas-style format, but what actually happened went far beyond that. Some items appeared almost instantly (like the garlic bread), while other dishes took an extremely long time. The baked ziti didn't arrive until over an hour after we ordered it -- well after the rest of the food had already come out and been eaten. By that point we were essentially just waiting for it to arrive so it could be boxed up and taken with us. If certain dishes are expected to take significantly longer, that would be understandable with the proper heads up. However, in this case there was no indication that anything would take that long, and the delay honestly felt less like intentional pacing and more like something in the kitchen may have simply been mismanaged or forgotten. It felt like the restaurant hides behind the "small plates/tapas-style experience" concept as a way to excuse the lack of coordination from the kitchen. While staggered dishes are expected in that format, there still needs to be some level of pacing so the table can actually share and enjoy the meal together. In this case, it just felt poorly managed. Toward the end of the meal a manager came over and told us that he is a "body language guy" and had noticed that we seemed disgruntled with our experience. He said he wanted to hear our thoughts about the meal. However, the interaction mostly consisted of him discussing his credentials and reiterating ideas like "the customer is always right," while leaving very little room for us to actually explain the issues we experienced. We did our best to communicate the concerns mentioned above, and while he appeared somewhat receptive, the conversation ultimately ended without any attempt to make things right. The check arrived with the full bill, including the drinks that had issues earlier in the meal. To be fair, the food itself was good. The quality of the dishes we had was solid, which made the operational issues even more disappointing. Pelato clearly has the potential to be a great spot, but good food alone doesn't make up for disorganized service and a lack of follow-through when problems arise.

This was the email I sent: "Two friends and I had a 7:15 PM reservation at Culaccino on January 10. Our server was Lee. Things started out fine, but we found ourselves quickly being subjected to Lee's somewhat aggressive approach to service. He honestly was the least personable server I've ever experienced, and had a very condescending manner. A misunderstanding occurred on my friend's order. She was brought a dish with pork in it, which was not what she ordered. Mistakes happen, but Lee was not at ALL nice or accommodating about it, laying the blame on her, and bringing it up multiple times during our meal, with a snarky and resentful undertone. After we paid, he walked up, dropped our checks, and walked away without a word. It was the first time in my life I've ever been tempted to leave zero tip. My conscience for some reason would not allow me to follow through on this, but it was as undeserved as any gratuity I've ever left. We wanted dessert, but we ended up going elsewhere due to how we'd been treated. We also had no clue we would be charged $6 a person for water! Perhaps something that could be mentioned during the ordering process. I've honestly never had a more disappointing dining experience. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant and had hoped to come back for a date night, but our experience left such a bad impression, I can't imagine spending additional money here. I'm not sure if other diners have had this experience with Lee, but we certainly did not feel welcome or valued as customers and felt it was important to make you aware." The food was fine, but most dishes needed salt- so basic. The lack of response from management, however, really says everything one needs to know about Culaccino. I'd truly recommend spending your dining dollars elsewhere.

We stopped in while traveling through town and were excited to return. After being seated inside, we noticed a small ant on the table. It didn't seem like a big deal at first, so we removed it and continued with our meal. Our server was friendly, and the food itself was good. However, about halfway through, more ants started appearing--eventually over 10--crawling on the table and around our food. We informed our server, who notified management, but in the meantime we were trying to eat while dealing with ants around our plates. This visit was on March 31st around 6 pm. The manager eventually came over and said they were probably coming from the window, then asked if we would like to move and thanked us for being understanding. She also mentioned they wouldn't be seating anyone else at that table for the rest of the evening. At that point, we had nearly finished eating and didn't want to disrupt our three young children by moving. More importantly, the situation could have been handled differently. Rather than asking if we wanted to move, it would have felt more appropriate for her to take the lead and say something like, "Let me move you to another table," instead of putting it on us in a way that felt dismissive. When you're spending around $140 on a meal, you shouldn't have to deal with bugs on your table. A small gesture--like offering a complimentary dessert or otherwise acknowledging the inconvenience--would have gone a long way in making the experience feel handled with care.

Very good and given that I enjoyed that previously mentioned board, I took a box to bring a bunch of it home. Lest you think that means I was full.... I somehow managed to find room to split a dessert. We had the Salted Caramel Budino, which was a lovely presentation but also very good! The espresso fudge hidden in with the banana was so well balanced (ie. not too banana-y!). And the pecan toffee gave the perfect crunch. Good end to a great meal. Wife says the lavender lemon drop was a hard pass, but ordering instead a standard lemon drop, she loved it. It was especially nice that it came with a sidecar on ice to refill her glass with cold lemony goodness. Wife also didn't particularly care for the chicken marsala, commenting that the sauce was thin and lacking flavor. It is worth noting though that if you want the marsala and are ordering before 6pm, the happy hour priced version is one breast instead of two, and still a generous dinner sized portion. I was excited to try the new hot chicken pizza, and was disappointed. The heat level was good, not knock your socks off hot, but a decent bit of heat. Unfortunately the chicken was dry; the chunks of breast meat overcook on the pizza, it would be much better if they'd use thighs or even chop up one of the fried tenders they put on the hot alfredo. The crust, very thin, was crunchy on the outside, but raw underneath. Despite these disappointments, Amerigo remains on our after work short list, it's a warm, friendly and pleasant space, though we're much more likely to stick with the bolognese and spaghetti on our next visit.
