    Egg foo young

The egg foo young was excellent I got the deluxe and it had tons of meat and veggies. The sauce was great as well. The egg rolls were superb, my wife said the best she has ever had!

We stopped here on our way to Houston. Not going to lie, it was dark when we pulled up and there were not many cars, looked a little sus. However, the food and service were awesome! We ordered two hot and sour soups (so, so good), two egg-rolls (I would come just for those), jalapeño Rangoon, garlic chicken and yen sho beef (both delicious) plus two ice teas for only $36. Phone was ringing like crazy for take out and customers steadily streaming in and they handled it well! Food came out fast and hot, drinks stayed refilled. Definitively worth the stop!

Shrimp, Beef and Chicken Pad Thai

This is good Chinese Food.....a popular place in Marshall! It is made to order every time. We have been here maybe a dozen times over the years.... Oriental Food is not really our go to food but if it was we probably would be here more. We have liked everything we have eaten from the General Tso Chicken to the Potstickers, the Combination Fried Rice or Shrimp Fried Rice, the Fried Wanton and the Egg Drop Soup and the Egg rolls..... All but the Pad Thai which we were excited about but have had much better. The setting is in an old restaurant.... like an old Del Taco or something. It fits in the experience. You always get some fortune cookies and we once all got some negative ones as a group which was funny. It is a good visit usually.

    Twice cooked pork.

My fave is chicken fried rice- made fresh to order. Egg rolls are good, but way too greasy .

My party and I had a wonderful experience at Chen's Garden in Shreveport. We started with the crab…read morerangoons, which were fried perfectly with a rich, flavorful crab filling. We also tried the soft-shell crab--it was beautifully presented and tasted incredibly fresh. One guest ordered the seafood combination dinner and said everything was well-cooked, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The fried rice that came with the seafood dinner was cooked very nicely with egg and great texture. Another had the orange chicken, and although there were several chili peppers in the sauce, it wasn't too spicy--just right. The orange flavor really came through, and everything was fried crisp, not soggy. I ordered the Dragon and Phoenix dinner (General Tso's chicken and shrimp with onion and ginger slices), and it was hands down the best General Tso's I've ever had. The shrimp were beautifully cooked, and I opted for lo mein instead of rice--it was fresh, lightly sauced, and not oily at all. This is not a buffet, and honestly, it felt like stepping back 40 years to when Chinese restaurants were more intimate, authentic, and personal. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the time from ordering to receiving our food was impressively quick. I highly recommend this hidden gem. They also offer sushi and a variety of lunch specials (we visited outside of lunch hours), and everything looked so good that I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Best Asian food in Shreveport. Service is exceptional also. Always plan to stop on our trips to…read moreShreveport.
