Service was awesome. I ordered strawberry flavored tea and it was refreshing. I have been to a lot of Chinese buffets and they all have their different flavors. This one isn't the best that I have been to but being hungry and it was available made it good enough. It was around the time that they was needing to put out fresh bins of food so what can I say. The food wasn't that amazing since the crawfish I picked was cold, the sushi kinda tasted like soap, the noodles were pretty tasty and the spring rolls were stale. Well as with most Chinese buffets, this one lived up to the low rating for most of the food. There were a couple items that weren't bad, the hot and sour soup was good. The rice noodles were good and the imitation crab with cheese was good. But most of the food wasn't good, in fact, I had to spit out two items and that's a rarity for me... The sushi was too large of pieces on some and just not present to eat on others. There was a steamed dumpling that was foul tasting. Overall, I would not eat here nor recommend it to anyone. We were in Galveston for a last getaway for the year. The Hot and Sour Soup came from the buffet line which was okay with me since our local Chinese buffet place does the same thing but everything else came fresh from the kitchen. All of our dishes were great. Tasty, fresh and enough to feed a family plus some.. It's only the two of us so we had a bunch of leftovers, which was great when we got home... I didn't have to figure out dinner. The meats in both of our dishes were tender and fresh, the veggies were also cooked perfectly with that Wok kiss of tenderness. There were fresh slices of ginger, which made my taste buds smile a little more. The hot chili oil sauce was truly spicy. While I was waiting for our food, I did take a look at the buffet... There's a lot of stuff and I can not review on that but I will say ordering off the menu was the way to go! The only drawback was the printed menu did not have the correct price so the lady at the register had to go in the system when I asked her prices for items. Really disappointing visit today. We will never go back. All the food was dried out and rubbery. Upon leaving we mentioned to the person at the register that our meal was unsatisfactory. This was obviously something she did not wish to hear. No type of discount was offered and when we suggested it we were told that we have to pay full price. And that if the food wasn't good we should have told them so they could cook something else. So rather than do it right, they'd rather serve crappy food and hope you eat it without complaining. They also charge adult price if your child is 11. We paid $75.00 for 4 and the food was inedible. Don't go. Go to Kroger, buy frozen Chinese TV dinner, you'll be way better off. read more

My family and I came down to Galveston for a cheer competition and my daughter decided she wanted Chinese. We went to Peking Buffet as it was near where we were staying- at the sight of the empty parking lot I should have known better. We walk in and are greeting by a musty smell and learn there are several food items not ready and will take 5-10 minutes. Two of my kids make plates but do not take a bite and the other four of us decide we are not going to eat. I inform the hostess we will be leaving due to the food not appearing appetizing (my daughter asked for soup (it was caramelized over) and the lack of food availability- she says we have to pay for the small kids plates that were made in an aggressive tone. A good business representative would have understood, apologized, and let us leave. We paid and will not return. read more

We have eaten here many times. I think it is the best Chinese food in the island. You can get better inland but when you have a craving while on the island, there is no place better. The servers bring your drinks and after a couple of visits might even remember you. They do have a full menu if you are nit thrilled with the buffet selection. To start: Upon entering the front doors we were hit with a strong bad fish smell although it dissipated as we approached the food area. This was a Sunday lunch, so I wasn't too bothered with the higher price tag. I also don't usually eat buffets since I can't get my money's worth!
